i cant decide on my rating to give it a 6 or a 7. Mark Rylance carrying this all the way. Without him this would have been perhaps at max a 5 out of 10 or worse. In all honesty the movie is a bit boring and slow. But it's still captivating.
I'll stick with a 7 as it's still "good enough" entertainment.
Dreadfully bad acting. stupid conversations. the corniest supporting music that sounds like it was royalty free to keep budget low.
It seems most budget was spent on Don Johnson.
And speaking of budget..... Ruby Rose really needs to spent some money and take some acting lessons. And that Mercedes Varnado should go back to being a waitress or something. I think I havent seen a worse actress in a long while.
Don't take the movie too seriously and it's actually very enjoyable.
Of course it's a story copy/paste from at least 144 other movies which are exactly 100% the same plot and story.
The woke level is amazingly low, as in 0. Quite surprising.
Its not the best movie, it's not the smartest movie. It is also far from realistic.
It is entertaining.
Wokeness level is ok.
I actually enjoyed this movie more than I expected.
On the woke meter: acceptable.
On one side it was better than I expected, but still.... not very good. Chris Pine was not charming enough and not naughty enough. I guess overal the movie was "ok", but nothing really more than just that.
The movie is a bit 20 in a dozen, but at least has some more realism to it where DEA (shouldnt it be the US Marshalls?) doesnt have an endless budget to do whatever they want protecting a witness.
The thing I really hate about it is the "exciting sounds and music" playing all the time. Too much. Too loud.
Not great, not bad. Entertaining enough, but not as good an experience as for example Catch me if you can was.
All acting was a bit flat, nobody seemed to take things seriously enough or... something like that.
Love Elisha though :)
It all started like some endless woke shit. Tnx God things improved quickly.
Jean Reno is just listed to get additional people watching this, He has a tiny role, so do not watch this for him.
It is a pretty decent action movie. A bit too predictable, but not bad.

EDIT: this entry is a duplicate. There's another antigang la releve
Wow, what a star cast with even Tom Riley and Jimmy Carr. Curious about this.
Except for the eye candy Laura Bilgeri and Hannah Rose, this movie is.... crap :) I guess most of the budget was used to make Wesley Snipes get up out of his wheelchair.
Especially the asthma scene in the boat was....... o m g. Who wrote this utter nonsense?
In general the whole story is not even that bad, but dialogues and script are.
This is basically a better version of the True Lies (utter bullshit) series. Too bad it's not as a series, but a movie.
It does underperform in many aspects unfortunately.
First hour of the movie was quite enjoyable, then it got a bit too much like 'its time to wrap-up the storylines'. That was too bad. Would have worked much better as a limited series. Or maybe another season of The Flight Attended.
What a load of b.s.
Wow. And of course the fueling of hatred towards white people.
It's like asif all sci-fi and (a lot of) fantasy movies/series are all put together in one long list of scenes with an overal covering saus of a quest. This is while completing a set of challenges along the way to grow the fellowship. Does that sound familiar yet?
It's one near endless list of [strike]stolen[/strike] inspired by famous scenes and characters.
From 7 Samurai to Lords of the Rings, from Star Trek to Star Wars.
For example the spider from the mines combined with a Borg Queen lookalike.
Or a native american-look-a-llike who tames a bird, which then can go on to kill the oppressor.
Unfortunately the woke virus strikes again with racism against white people. The heroes are full on diversity, but every white guy in the movie is a traitor, suppressor or tiran (or a stupid farmer). Every person of color is a hero. Right.
And add on top of all this the terrible dialogues, mediocre to appalling 'acting' and that entire list of stolen scenes, etc..... This is just a piece of rubbish which only seems to be aimed at making 3D action scenes with as much fighting and explosions are possible.
The preview scene on Netflix where the guy runs into the metro with a chair still stuck to his ass, is the only good/funny scene of the movie. Everything else is just mediocre at best.
If you are into this type of movie, then check out Black Lotus with Rico Verhoeven.
The movie is a bit blend, not to say boring. A typical who dunnit movie in a historic setting. Visual effects were good, atmosphere creation was interesting, but the characters i found less compelling. Dialogs were uninspired and the Harry Potter kid with his near katatonic behavior was distracting and even annoying.
And sorry to say but I'm getting tired from Michelle Yeoh in basically everything. She's a little bit too productive.
Overall the movie is entertaining enough, but it's all just mediocre at best.
On the plus side, no bullshit woke crap. No gay or trans promotion or misplaced discrimination of white people.
Ugh. Dont have much more to say about it then that.
Maybe with some different main characters - with a lot less ''brooklyn, yeah baby''-vibes - this could have a better movie. Or at least some actors who can act. Woke-broke-etc.
Also strongly dislike what they did to Wheeljack.
And the whole dinobots whose origin story got totally raped into "maximals" sucks too. I was looking forward to Grimlock and the others.
This was quite disappointing.
Stratosphere was probably one of the few good things about this movie.
The only good casting done here was Pete Davidson as Mirage. He really fits with that character.
Arcee didnt really strike me at all, so cant comment.
Funny that I didnt even recognise Petre Dinklage and Ron Perlman's voices. Michelle Yeoh was very obvious.
anyway.
All in all : huge disappointment.
After Bumblebee I thought they had finally 'got it'. Seems not.
I very much enjoyed the movie. At least it was about dinosaurs again. And great to see this reunion. They did that quite well. Lots of winks to the earlier movies and some other movies.
The bridge that Masie crosses, looks a whole lot like the one from A Quiet Place. At least from memory.
Sure there were some scenes that do not make a lot of sense, but its forgiveable.
My only true complaint is little to no John Williams music. There was a half hint to the theme of Jurassic Parc, but not enough
I went into watching this with extremely low expectations. I realized when getting ready to watch Dominion, that I never even bothered to watch Fallen Kingdom. So...... I watched it and actually... it lived up to the expectations ;) So I decided to give it a 7 out of 10, as it was exactly what I expected. No its not a great movie. It's far from original. The typical computernerd needed to do some random computer magic by typing sudo and some statement on a terminal was of course present. Not sure if it was lack of inspiration or a wink to the earlier movies that they had to "reboot the system" (which was back then done by that blond girl, now it had to be a colored boy obviously, because, well, woke.)
The wokeness scale was not too crazy. Of course all the bad persons are all white men, because, well, woke. I did not detect any gay/trans promotion this time.
Some scenes from previous movies were kind of recycled - and that was a good thing! There was the connection to the previous movies in a proper way. Like the big open gras area where the dinos are running in the field - now the same but just.... well insert spoiler here. The big bad evil hunter was a bit too obvious for my taste. That was more lack of inspiration then a nod to the earlier movies.
Chris Pratt is mostly carrying the movie, along with Bryce Howard. I was not a big fan of the whol Eli Mills role/person/actor.
the dialogues are cringe (un)worthy and 90% just stupid.
Willis and Travolta probably took the largest part of the budget, so all other participants in the movie were either taken off of the streets with the lowest possible costs. I am guessing salaries were 0, and cost limited to just food, lodging and expenses. Even the background music sounds like its taken from the first random elevator in some random hotel. Brilliant how a cop says "good that you didnt kill anyone yet, but dont let it cost your head" or something like that. Really?
Ugh.
Only thing positive is seeing Travolta again as the bad guy. He still has his charisma.
Disappointing how this is just only about drugs abuse.
Sure that scene had... Uh... It's challenges and problems... But this whole movie is nothing but just that.
As if the writers ran out of pot to smoke and could not think of a proper ending. What an extreme anti climax.
Pfff.
Initially i rated it 5 / 10, but it's just.... Disappointment isn't even a strong enough word.
first part of the movie was nice, last 30-40 minutes was just bullcrap
I guess the budget was basically gone when they had Freeman and Stormare connected to the project. Then there was no money left for a proper scenarist and some decent writers, so they had to hire a bunch of high school students.
just dont take it too seriously and then its ok entertainment.
This movie is how Sin City should have been....... here and there a bit too much weird conversations, like at the barber shop, but in general very enjoyable.
This movie is a fusion of back to the future meets scream. Both movies are referenced by Kiernan her character, so it seems on purpose.
Don't set your expectations too high with some highly intelligent movie, it's just a fun piece of nonsense that does not take itself too serious.
Enjoyable enough.
I guess there are some statements and pieces of dialogue in there which are supposed to be funny. I cant classify any of that as jokes though.
Too much is just over the top.
Quite impressive cast though. Crappy movie.
Quite an impressive actors lineup.
Quite impressive how entirely shit this movie still has become all because of the impressive leading man...... who keeps being the same character over and over again. And only manages to become more and more annoying each and every movie.
Probably the only good thing about this movie in the first 25 or so minutes is Nathalie Emmanuel.
