It's just popcorn entertainment. And with alcohol, a lot of alcohol. So you dont notice how weak the stories are. For example episode 1x02 where he break in, has obviously stolen items in his posession and then police arrives and arrests the bad guys. Uhhhh right. Reality will be that police arrests at the very least the burglar, and in doubt arrests everyone to take them to the police station and figure things out later. I see people referring to The Finder, I was thinking more about Pointman (1995), but I guess that shows my age mostly :)
Anyway. It's watchable. Just corny and not very intelligent.
Well... what to say about this. It's not bad. It's not superb. It has a bit of a Da Vinci's Demons - vibe to it. Not surprisingly also a Stars series, come to think of it.
The ending was just so predictable... I saw it coming somewhere in episode 2 already. The whole evil duke of norfolk personality made little sense to me and overal it was just.... well.... not so smart or special.
Anyway. I still enjoyed it enough, dont get me wrong. Just over-hyped.
I very much enjoyed the first few seasons. Great fun and almost like watching a behind the scenes of the Trump precidency screwing up everything possible to be screwed up. Then at some point in season 5 or 6 it all became just too much hate, really like watching the Trump administration.
Selina was at first a little bit of a narcissistic screw-up of a underdog that you sort-off still wanted to root for. Then she became more and more that c-word and non-stop treating everyone like garbage. Then it became too much. I just started to strongly disliking her, especially the way she was treating her daughter... the showrunners probably should have given her at least a little bit of humanity still... too bad they didnt. I believe that is what killed this series eventually. Season 6 was very weak.
On the plus side, at least season 7 brought us a proper and good closing of the series.

Season 2 with this endless b.s. about book of leaves started to be annoying and was a huge change from season 1.
Season 3 was just crap. Not a good change from how interesting season 1 was.
Im not a big fan of Anthony Mackie.
Too many annoying one-liners where he seems to want to sound like Will Smith.
The opening scenes are a bit too much Mad Max meets Death Race. But ok. That seems the whole goal of this series.
Also a shame that immediately the whole racism card needs to come up again with 'John Doe' saying "talking to a mildly intimidating white lady" why the skin color is important?
Anyway. If you dont take this stuff seriously, then its entertaining enough. Set your expectations low and you might even be surprised.
Quite enjoyable series. If you like series like Banshee, Justified and Barry, deffo give this a try. Quite short episodes, so a whole season is gone before you know it.
Season 3 is the last and has a pretty decent ending to it.
I absolutely loved season 1. Season 2 not so much. Loads of plotholes and totally illogical scenes, not very intelligent dialogues and just pointless violence that really seems specifically setup to become a violet fight. Its just nothing like season 1.

I basically binged this entire series. I enjoy cop-shows, but this outshines nearly any out there.
Only a few get close. Banshee being one.
There are very few weak episodes in this series.
Season 6 is a bit too graphical for my taste, but at least its a very good and proper ending and gives a close to basically all story lines.

Woke report: the woke virus had not hit us yet when this series was made. So no crazy woke crap.
Season 1 started as a typical police series, but from episode 4 everything went off the rails. Too much coincidence where the main characters only get more and more intertwined without logic.
Note that this series is not family friendly, there is a lot of nudity and violence.
Michael C Hall is showing to be (again) he's a truely good actor, carrying all of this.
Several of the supporting actors are mediocre at best. Several of the kids are truely great though.
The series is very complicated with many characters who all have their own secret agendas.
Plottwists galore. A typical Coben's series. In many ways I enjoy this more than Fool me Once or The Stranger.

Watched the first 2 episodes and started to fall asleep in the third episode. The first episode had something interesting to it all, but it was all very, very slow. The constant flashbacks were already getting annoying halfway through episode 1. On the positive side, it is quite easy at least to figure out when a flashback is going on.
Less positive is the permanent freaking-out-mom-style of the main character.
The whole semi religious freak show as a means of brainwashing is getting very old. Combine that with a pace that even BBC First usualy keeps higher, this series is.... just boring.
I was very afraid of another unwatchable piece of woke cr*p, but to my surprise - so far, 3 episodes in - it's not too bad. There's too many black washing of characters, but that's it.
The series itself is also quite decent, though it's aimed at kids/young families. It's really a remake of the 2010 movie. It lacks some sparks amongst the main characters (insert woke here) but it's been better than i dared to expect, again - so far.
Still it's a huge step down from the movie, which is to be expected when cramming every episode an entire story in a 35 minute episode.
Summary: I had my rating initially at 6 out of 10, lowered it to 3 out of 10 and now at 2 out of 10. Really - dont bother with this crap.
The best actress in this series is probably the small girl Lauren Gravitt playing Laura. All others should ask their money back from acting school.
Episode 1 started out really interesting and I was instantly hooked...... then....... it crashed and burned basically. What a b.s. scenes. Some are just retarded. The car chase was utterly crazy. Some dialogues are.... 'strange' if to be kind :)
It's just a lot of small things. Like in episode 3, Rees is giving a presentation to a group of people and you hear her talking. Then the big boss comes in, walking around the glass box and you hear his footsteps. While he is outside of that glass box. And then he comes in. Uhhhh what the fck :)
From episode 1, into episode 2, there is a burial - between a death and being buried theres usually a few days. He seems to have been instantly buried. Nobody bothered to clear out his appartment in the mean time, so its still all there end of episode 3. Even if it was a violent death. Nobody looked into it. Really? Or how did he get buried at a public cemetary. If the bad guys buried him (alive) on purpose, then why was that in a cemetary and not just somewhere in a back forest or something. And why in a coffin? So many questions....
And just some huge plot holes... or at least seemingly huge plot holes. Why is our main guy not asking questions to this Claire woman. She claims "I was there, I called the police". So why was she there? How did she know where he would be in his car at what moment so she could hit him 'to safe his life'. He's just all accepting it without question. And if she called the police, then again - how did he get buried in a public cemetary?
The series just doesnt make any sense.
I am still interested in the series, but it all seems just a huge hot mess.
EDIT: haha in episode 4 daddy forgot how old his daughter is. She's 8 in episode 1 and suddenly daddy thinks she;'s 9. Must have hit his head too hard? :P ok this series blows. Stupidity all over.
EDIT 2: episode 5/6/7 - the dialogues are getting worse and worse and more and more dump stupid and pointless. The supporting music is ''really'' elevating the drama (not). Also since it's keep being the same music over and over and over again. Even there the amount of available budget seems to have been limited :)
And to top it all off: an experienced FBI agent is taking her brand new boyfriend to a safe house. Really? And she doesnt get suspended or at the very minimum suspended. Again.... really?
"Sir I got something. other agent: OK we got something, lets load up and move out!" Uhh.... what do yo have? Is it actionable even???
Very much enjoyed season 1, even if it was already hinting a bit too much at feminist tendancies.
Season 2 is just full out men hating. And suddenly muslim refugees and Palestinians are victims of course. The Woke mind virus hits everwhere. Episodes 5 and 6 of season two are by far the weakest. Here's hoping that it wont be the last of Stella we see in those 2 let downs....
Still an intelligent series. Heida Reed is really carrying the series in a convincing way.
This is like a modern version of Lethal Weapon on nearly every kind of upper known the man :) Very much enjoyed the first few episodes. Sure its all over the top. Like.... by a lot. But in a fun way. Just dont take it all too serious. The series doesnt take themselves very serious either :)
I think I may have seen some episodes from the original series, but not many.
Bosch: Legacy can be watched perfectly fine without having watched the original series.
In a way I think I enjoy watching this series more than the original.

I really wonder what the whole plan was with this season. It looks like they had some specific story in mind, recorded everything. Probably some scenes were not done yet during the whole writers and actors strikes
And then in post-editing someone totally re-wrote the story.
There are loads of flashbacks or supporting scenes that seem to be about native americans and their roots and customs as a sort of documentary, which in some ways is better developed than the main story itself.
Frankly I dont like the Maya character. Maya her endless frowning / angry face gets old quickly. She has only 1 possible expression on her face: angry. There is hardly anything else coming out of her.
I guess acting of being a deaf person who is angry about life is probably difficult to do antything else than this, but her whole attitude gets old fast. No matter who she has near her or whom she communicates with. Endless negativity and anger and violence.
I dont like several of the other characters either. Plus I find the way most of the native americans are being protraid borderline racist. All of them seem to be either stupid, over-weight(fat), or criminal or so stuck in the traditional ways that they are just plain silly.
And a lot of what we see just doesnt make sense.
You dont go driving a motorcycle hundred of kilometers/miles with a bullet still stuck in your chest.
I am considering rating this series on the same level as Iron Fist. Not sure if to be above or below. I guess below is impossible. So let's say its halve a step better than Iron First. Although the storyline of Iron Fist at least made sense (mostly). Hm.
Anyway. It's poo. Dont bother. There's much better stuff out there than this s h i t.

This series is very, very slow paced. Do not expect an action sci-fi.
Basically next to nothing happens until episode 7 / 8.
this show gave me very negative feelings, the whole reality show concept where people are driven into becoming their own worst selves is very disturbing...
I do wonder how much of this was scripted or at least manipulated.
The best part of this show is that there is no woke b.s - that at least was refreshing.
I went into this series expecting not much and was actually happily surprised. It's not as suspenseful as the book and it's cutting quite a few corners, but in general it is enjoyable.
There is a proper ending to this first season that rounds up the largest part of the story, so it is not a problem they never got to make a second season.
Too bad this got cancelled early. The early episodes were promising and anjoyable.
Later on in the series the story went off the rails entirely., but I was quite interested in seeing what way things would develop. Acting performances were quite strong in my opinion. It deserved more than it got.
EDIT: cancelled after 1 season (and rightfully so!) - open ended. Do not bother to watch this crap.
The Tula mom character is endlessly annoying. That person alone is reason enough to get this series cancelled.
For real though - what a dreadfully stupid story. Nothing unique or even remotely interesting.
Of course there is some strong suppressing organisation / government. There are rebels. Theres important people on both sides who have lots of history. Of course.
Main character with daddy issues - check.
Kids having been lied to all of their lives - check
Shifting loyalties all over the place, episode by episode - check
Unfulfilled promise by a smart but weak person who then of course builds up character to say no to addiction - check
White guy abusing power - check
Undervalued boy getting strong - check
Interracial relationship - check. Forbidden love - check.
Mommy issues - check. Kid rebelling against overly controlling mom - check. Mutual understanding reached and love conquers all - check.
Lesbian love - check.
Bad guy pirate turning good - check.
Did I mention shifting loyalties episode by episode? Check check double check.
Illogical personal motivations - check.
Not even sure how many other obvious b.s. I should even bother to list :)
Very surprising show. I expected some feminin over the top woke stuff, but not at all. Its a strong show and quite surprising. Plot twists you can see coming from quite a bit and then........... oh wait. So I enjoyed it and binged the whole season 1 in just one go.
Pretty good police detective series. No woke bullshit.

Initially the trailer caught my attention and episode 1 brought what i expected.
After that things got less great. The Mansell character got on my nerves quickly. And it makes only little sense how nobody finished him off before. Plus the whole sidestory of a crooked cop keeping Mansell safe and our of prison doesn't make any sense. He didn't have the little book before. He never approached the crooked chop neither. It's a huge plothole.
The wokeness relationships also don't make any sense. Not the gay one and not the one between our main man good honest cop and the person of interest lawyer of the main villain. Such a good honest cop would never do that. Only reason for this to be a thing is coz the producers needed an interracial relationship added to the show and the writers could not think of any logical couples.
It's too bad this nonsense keeps on being stuffed down our throats. Because these kind of things do not add to the story. Especially not if done this stupidly.
Other choices made by several main characters also felt far fetched multiple times. But the woke bs really took away from the quality of the show.
Overall season 1 started great and then quickly quality dropped. Last few episodes I went to do other things with the sound playing in the back ground and I d watch occasionally. The whole Albanian angle felt like a bad steal from Barry, or Banshee or... So many other series.
I'll still give it a decent 7 out of 10. May have been closer to an 8 without the b.s wokeness.
