Hosted by Suzanne Whang, the show takes viewers behind the scenes as individuals, couples and families learn what to look for and decide whether or not a home is meant for them. Focusing on the emotional experience of finding and purchasing a new home, each episode follows a prospective buyer and real estate agent through the home-buying process, from start to finish.

Romanian ex-pats, Alex and Eliza, have worked hard to achieve the American Dream. Now they're buying a spectacular home on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. But even with around a million to spend, they're realizing beach homes in their price range are few and far between. And since they can't agree on the style of home they want, or which beach to live near, this house hunt will be anything but a breeze.

New York City dwellers Robbi and Ray want a home upstate, where they can bring up the child they hope to adopt soon in a more tranquil setting. They're searching the idyllic Hudson Valley for a move-in ready place with lots of charm. But Ray has a few unusual demands: he'd like a place with a perfect Christmas tree spot, as well as a grand staircase where he can snap photos of their future kids on prom night. Will their $250,000 budget be enough to find them their fantasy house in the country?

Dave and Sarah-Jayne are first time buyers anxious to get out of their cramped Chicago apartment. She's hoping for a sprawling ranch style home in the city. He wants a bungalow, and is open to the suburbs. Can they find a compromise?

Jennifer's ready to buy her first place in downtown Chicago. Her younger sister, Laura, will be renting a room from her, and wants Jennifer to buy in a high-rise because she feels safer with a door man. But Jennifer has always wanted to buy a more vintage place in one of the city's historic brownstones. Will Jennifer take her sister's advice, or stick to her original plan?

Through their non-profit work, Amy and Jeff, are both very committed to making New Orleans a better place to live, work and play. After dating for a few years, they've decided to purchase a home together. They both want a shotgun style home with ornate architectural details and don't mind a fixer, but Amy wants a modest renovation while Jeff has his heart set on restoring a classic New Orleans home to its former glory. With a limited budget, can they find the New Orleans history they want?

Octave and Paul have been talking about starting a family since they first started dating. Now they're married and are ready to adopt, but not before they find the perfect family home in Lake Villa, Illinois. With Octave wanting move-in ready, and Paul wanting the chance to put his stamp on whatever they buy, this couple is having a hard time seeing eye to eye on how best to spend their $150,000 budget.

Washington state transplants, Grahm and Dana, have fallen in love with San Francisco and are ready to buy their first home there. She wants a classic San Francisco Victorian or Edwardian, and he wants an urban loft. But the bigger question is whether they can find a home at all for under a million bucks in this supercharged real estate market.

Douglas and Dan recently relocated from Virginia to Salt Lake City to work at the same women's clothing line. They both want a century old house, but Douglas has his heart set on a Victorian with a foyer, where guests can pause before entering the living room. Dan, on the other hand, prefers a craftsman with a guest bedroom on the main level for his mother when she visits. But in Salt Lake City's competitive real estate market, they're going to have to make some compromises.

Pennsylvania couple Tom and Sharon are looking forward to moving out of their rental and into a spacious home with unique style and character. Sharon has her heart set on a plantation style home after seeing them while on vacation in Charleston, South Carolina. Also on her wish list is like a large swimming pool, updated kitchen and a room just for her dogs. Tom is more focused on a home with a place to store his hockey equiptment. Complicating the search, Sharon wants a move-in ready home while Tom leans toward a fixer-upper.

Gavyn and Cory are on the hunt for a new home in Indianapolis. Gavyn wants to buy a trendy loft in the city's up and coming downtown area. Cory, however, wants a big single family home in the burbs. Who will win out?

Travis and Nicole are ready for their perfect Chi-Town dream home. Problem is they have different visions of "perfect". He wants a penthouse in a newer building with maximum square footage. She wants a classic Chicago Brownstone. In a hunt that takes place during Chicago's famous St. Patrick's Day celebrations, this one might come down to the luck of the draw.

Reuben, a real estate agent, and his partner, Tim, want to upgrade from their condo to a single family home in Palm Springs, but their search won't be easy. Not only does it have to be a renovated Mid-Century, they also insist on a home with a pedigree, built by a well-known Palm Springs architect. They want a large lot with a pool, mountain views and enough space to entertain family and friends, all with a budget of $650,000.

Abe and Julie both love the outdoor lifestyle and scenic beauty of Phoenix, and are ready to purchase a home together. Julie loves the historic charm and character of the old bungalows in North Central Phoenix, but Abe likes a new modern home with sleek, clean lines and a large, open kitchen. Plus, Julie wants extra space to accommodate her brother, who comes for month-long visits during spring training. Will Abe and Julie be able to find common ground, and a home they both love?
