I feel that I have lost years off of my life from watching this film.
They never should have made this into a "universe".
Overly-complicated long fights that make no sense.
Keanu has 10 lines literally.
The only time he delivers lines with emotion is when he's speaking to Laurence Fishburne or - surprisingly - when he's talking in Russian.
Too many new characters that are there only to be killed / to be forgotten and basically nobody cares about them.
The villain is weak.
Too long, which equals too boring.
I am convinced that people just don't get what a good action movie is these days, not only because of the majority of the comments here, but also most people in my theatre liked it so much. Just because there are long complicated fight scenes, doesn't mean that this is a good action movie.
First John Wick film is a perfection. Second one was also very good. I will rewatch them and pretend that this was never a "universe".
Oh God no, not Wade! Not the character we don't even know, and couldn't give less of a care about. Why did you have to take such a nobody from us!?
Yawn, this show is just plain boring.
I had not seen the trailer and had absolutely no idea what the premise was. I can definitely imagine that it would be a more enjoyable experience this way, since I was surprised throughout. A fairly inventive movie, clever plot, and strong performances from the leads. The scares all add to the story, too! It's not purely jump scares for no reason.
EDIT: I just read the Trakt synopsis- it gives away a huge bit of the story. I am even more glad I knew nothing about this movie or I probably would have been more judgmental.
EDIT 2: Trakt has changed the synopsis to be more vague, but I still think I enjoyed the movie even more without reading anything about it or even seeing artwork. halfway through the movie I could not imagine how it could be a horror movie, which is exactly why it was such a good horror movie.
This was basically a sequence of illogicality in terms of character placement.
How is the Third Sister faster than Leia who was on her way much longer. Even if she took the faster route: Why would Leia not have been taken the fastest one??
How doest the sleeper agent know where Obi-Wan is, but none of the inquisitors does? How does she get there so fast? And why the fuck did she not cross path with the Third Sister??
Not to speak of how incredibly unfounded and unrealistic it was for the Third Sister to immediately find the entry in the beginning...
Sorry, but as much as I want to like it. The later half did not suspend my disbelief in the least.
One of the best zombies flim in sometime. There is so much to learn in the movie. Humor, sad, happy and sorrow. No one would expect the movie to be so great. The fun dramatically increase as the movie goes.
Who would guess someone would be so scary as one finally turned in to into zombies. Humans are scary creatures. Selfishness among the same species. No good, no bad. Finally, the one who survives and live on are those who suffered the most.
I know it's a bullshit movie okay, everyone who watched it knows that! But it's some great bullshit and I'm glad i watched it. Trailer was right, it is the Michael Bayest movie of all Michael Bay movies.
To be enjoyed like a long, rambling fantasy novel -- not like a punchy action flick (though it is sometimes also that).
got in with no expectations, got out with Parasite as one of the best movies I saw this year !
Filoni and Favreau have done it folks in my world. Let me have the shows and the kids can have the new movies. Good compromise.
All one shot. Very well done. Dynamic, stressful and brilliant. The planning and rehearsing had to have been off the charts stellar.
I think watching this episode is going to be a new holiday tradition. Better than most Christmas movies.
"Why tell a deadman the future?"
I couldn't have asked for a more fitting finale for this "piece of an art" mini-series. The bar was set high. It could've been either like the GoT finale or Breaking Bad finale. So glad they stayed consistent from start to finish. Undoubtedly, this ranks among the greatest miniseries ever produced.
Many people may be dissatisfied with the finale if they expected to watch an all-out war, which contradicts the entire idea of the show.
Modern Family does what's best in comedy: subtle awkward situations that make you laugh uncontrollably, even though if someone sees the same scene as you, they will never get why and how it's funny. You can't judge Modern Family based on some episodes seen sporadically, no, you'll have to go from the start and watch all of it, for the comedy to become apparent to you.
This new school looks like my own personal hell. Those kids are so peppy and aggressively woke that it’s legit creeping me out
What is the point in these ships even having weapons systems? The star destroyer couldn't even shoot a super basic defenceless ship out of the sky! It has been utterly infuriating watching the action sequences in this show.
"I will do what I must" made me cringe. It was like bad fan fiction. The fight wasn't great, though it was definitely better than the fight back in episode 3 of the show.
Reva might just be the most pathetic force user of all time. How the hell did a couple of random farmers hold their own against her? Again, the action in this show has been consistently dreadful - just straight-up bad decisions by the writing team, and laughably poor choreography. Also, she literally just took a lightsaber to the gut hours ago and was left for dead, yet now she suddenly appears absolutely fine walking around on Tattoine? WHAT IS THIS SHOW?
Glad we got the Qui-Gon cameo at the end though.
Yes, yes, yes this is what the super hero genre needs. Fresh but gritty thanks to the R+18. Hooked after 1 episode. Keep up the heroics Amazon.
I swear that Daniels have a direct line to whatever it is that I seek in movies. Long time since I laughed and cried so hard and all together at the movies (probably since swiss army man). Will have to watch more, of course... but WOW.
Saw it at the lone screening that is happening in my city, it was packed but, it's a bit of a bummer that more people won't catch this movie in theaters. Especially on IMAX. No matter...
I feel with this movies like Abbed's dad at the end of Community 1x02. Amazing and I REALLY can't wait to see what they do next!
Can't even imagine the emotional and financial damage he inflicted upon so many women. Victim blaming is easy when you haven't been in the shoes of the other person. I'm glad they got their power back in some way, 'cause many of these assholes take advantage of discretion and these women made sure he was known for who he really is: a piece of shit, like one of them said, pathetic, definitely, and a criminal. Whoever's with him now won't be able to say they didn't know what they were getting into.
Possibly Shinkai's best work so far, and as a massive fan of both 5cm and Garden of Words I do not say that lightly. The animation is breathtaking as always but some scenes go beyond mere visual splendor and are just mesmerizing. The characters are so fun to be around and you'll find yourself rooting for them and hoping it all works out. I was slightly concerned when I saw the "boob fondling" scene in the trailer but even that becomes a genuinely charming gag throughout the movie, believe it or not!
As to be expected of Shinkai, the film also takes you on a roller coaster of emotional highs and lows and keeps you guessing how it will end until pretty much the last minute.
I cannot recommend this enough.
-Smart boy: We should try again with small objects, and then bacteria, plants..
-Hot girl: Nah, let's try it ourselves!
-Smart boy: Ok!
The power of boner is stronger than reason.
This episode should've been named "Toda Mariko". She is one hell of a strong character.
Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and a hippopotamus walk into a mental hospital.
This movie was painfully boring, and didn't contain a single likeable character. It was like watching a whiney CW teen drama. What wasn't boring, was borderline nonsensical.
Don't waste your time with this one, especially if you are a fan of the previous x-men movies.
It became a tradition to watch this every 5th of November. By far one of the greatest films ever made, must've seen it 8 or 9 times by now, always blows my mind. If I could rate it 11, I would.
Okay so walking into the theater I wasn't exactly expecting much however wow I was blown away complete must see
Another great show people rated bad here before they even saw it... There's some Legends of Tomorrow similarities where it's about chasing a bad guy through time.
However, I'm hooked anyway due to good cast and performances. The show is fun as well.
