Revenge of the Roaring Killer Shark
Not even close to being the worst shark movie i've seen but this one's definitely the worst in the franchise. The shark looks so fake and lifeless. Poor kills and scares. The slow-motion doesn't help. Good cast and the characters are somewhat enjoyable, especially Jake. It's crazy how many errors are in this movie. Pretty sure this was the final nail in the coffin for the Jaws franchise.
But it was all worth it to hear a fish with no vocal cords roar. The shark also stood up on water like Jesus did.
A regular dull romance story followed by an interesting twist that made me intrigued. Then we get a shit ton of exposition followed by nothing really... It went nowhere. Characters lack development. Like the neon colors, music choices and the acting is decent. More of a twisted love thriller than anything horror. I'll have forgotten about this in two days.
Mission: Difficult II
Bunnyman meets up with some old friends to do some mayhem and we explore his origins in flashbacks throughout the movie. I like the filming style they chose for that it's similar to the footage in Sinister. The new characters create new interactions with Bunnyman that are kinda interesting but they take the focus away from Bunnyman and took too much space in the movie. The absence of a certain character from the previous entry is felt highly. The cheap CG kills are the biggest disappointment they ruin the fun. My favorite part was the "You are a machinist" music video segment, it was like an acid trip, weird but why not at this point! The last scene of the movie was comedic to me but I doubt that was the intent.
The OGs (Diesel, Walker and Rodriguez) are back and that's awesome but somehow this feels... lifeless. The problem with it is it takes itself too seriously and it's devoid of any kind of fun. Mix that with some flat drama and reduced action sequences and you've got something truly boring. I forgot this was a car movie for a while. One thing it does that the previous ones didn't though is do a tiny bit of character buildup and progression.
Same corn, different field
As the 11th in the franchise I imagined they would finally learn from the ten others and be able to do something decent... well no, this is just another rehash of past failures mixed in with some of the worst writing i've seen in a while. What really kills it is the acting, it's overdone and corny (except for that little girl). Could not stand the annoying main character. First 40 minutes could of been cut out it felt completely unnecessary. Not even close to being the worst CGI i've seen but I didn't like the idea of using CGI in the first place. Who the hell decided that was a good idea? The editing and especially the dialogue... ughh. There's not much logic and coherence used in this movie but the third act was something else, it's as if everyone gave up on it by that time. A decent attempt with the kills, some of them were creative and looked good. Final scene of the movie was my favorite.
Please just put this franchise out of it's misery already!
It wasn't until I started my M. Night marathon that I realized this movie existed, well now I know why I never heard of it. It feels like a story coming right out of a child's head: silly, convoluted and mostly incoherent. So much so that I just couldn't get into it at all, especially in the second half. It has a great cast but the performances are flat and forced all around, dialogue feels off, the mythology was mildly engaging and the wolf was kinda cool. An absolute mess all around, the kind of movie that comes out straight to digital these days.
Started out promising with an interesting sci-fi technology I wanted to know more about. The more the movie progresses, the more it strays away from that until you're left with a weird soap drama that goes way too deep and emotional. There's some action and cool visuals with neon lights every half hour but it feels minimal compared to the bad drama. The world building was all over the place and the story was convoluted. Acting was good at least.
Characters are unlikable and devoid of logic, awful decision making, boring plot and the thrills are cheap. Nothing original and very underwhelming. Also one of the three girls faded into the background I even forgot she was there for a while.
A six foot possessed nutcracker doll goes on a killing spree on Christmas. The kills look so fake and so does the nutcracker it's just someone wearing a plastic mask. It doesn't fall into the "so bad it's good" category the only fun thing about this was the nutcracking scene. Story and characters were very bland.
A 6 part comedy-horror anthology. The comedy doesn't always land and neither does the horror. The jokes are very juvenile and some of the parts feel incomplete. They should of done less stories and focused on doing three or four good ones. The acting was actually very decent and I liked the style. My favorite thing about this was the host!
"We're like flies in a spider's web, it's calling the shots. The only way we end this is to kill it." -Laine
Very cheesy, laughable dialogue, bad acting and not scary at all. Green screen everywhere. Too much exposition with the Creeper and the suit looks like a costume from Walmart.
The scenes at night you can clearly see the white neon lighting on the characters it was more lit up than my living room. What's even funnier is one of the characters is holding a flashlight but it's doing nothing against these neons.
The whole thing felt like a fan made movie. I can't believe they're actually planning on making a trilogy with this shit.
An 87min commercial for the Spirit Halloween stores. Shameful! They just picked one of their stores and filmed a "movie" in it. No effort whatsoever just a few stand-ins wearing their costumes and spooking a few kids around the store. Bad acting, bland characters and hardly any story. It doesn't even have that much of a Halloween style and feeling. Not much spirit and not much Halloween!
(Grindhouse Edition)
Been meaning to watch this for years but couldn't find a copy, turns out it was on the MovieArk free app all along. Also turns out it's hidden for a reason...
No idea what the difference is between the Grindhouse Edition and the standard edition but this was very grindhouse indeed and campy as hell. Some of the worst editing and special effects i've ever seen. The dialogue makes my ears bleed and it isn't even funny one-liners, it's just awful. Everything about this is awful apart from some musical choices (synth and creepy kids music exclusively) and the bunny costume + chainsaw are a good creepy mix. The kills aren't the worst but the way it's edited scraps everything. No idea why they added commercial blocks, it has nothing to do with the story.
"We're gonna need a lot of therapy."
My worst fear is having to rewatch this shit movie.
Mediocre scares, countless horror tropes, pointless story, it takes forever before we get a kill (and they're lame), the characters are so dumb, laughable third act... and it's a Covid movie. Not enough fear related stuff and too much Covid paranoia. The acting was ok in the first two acts and the set was fine (that's all I could think of for the positives). Shoutout to the intro showing the title twice.
Lame kills, lame thrills, lame characters and it's a covid movie. It has two separate storylines (the cam girl getting stalked by the Crowbar killer and a reality TV show hosted by Paris Hilton). It started with an intriguing mystery and a decent premise but everything that followed was wrong, just wrong. Instead of laying out the possible suspects in a smart way like whodunit thrillers usually do, they choose to repeat the same story every 15 mins by having a new man pop up at Ashley Benson's cabin. Every time she tries to hook up with them, it's extremely redundant and feels like groundhog day. The characters are different everytime we see them, it's like the "actors" can't remember how to play their character. No blood, no gore and the kills are forgettable.
I think that was the worst ending i've ever seen in a movie, how do you even...? And what's with the shit montage at the end, felt like a music video to whatever lame artist that was. That's what happens when you're too rich and too bored during covid, you do this.

Jack Frost is back again! No wait... It's the Night King posing as Jack Frost.
Get Away From This Movie If You Can!
How the hell did they get Ed Harris to do this?? Boring story that went absolutely nowhere and some of the weirdest music choices i've heard in a movie. Awful camera work someone bumped the camera a few times. Only point it gets is for the landscape.
Story: what story? It's art!
Characters: Nope. Let's focus on the walls instead.
Not scary in the slightest the only scares were jumpscares with loud music. I didn't care what happened to the two pairs of legs. If you're going to do a movie about a child's point of view put the camera on their forehead, not on the floor. The walls and ceilings got wayyy too much screen time. Painfully boring!
An entire episode of stress, scares and more mysteries.
Give me the next episode already!
Um, that orchestra of zombies is easily the best thing i've seen in any Walking Dead show! Where do I buy my tickets?
Great drama and perfect last setup episode before everything explodes in the next I believe.
Guess what... more mysteries! I'm fine with new mysteries i'm just worried this show will lose a lot of people if it gets too convoluted. Some answers please, just something!
Some payoff, lots of well-shot edge-of-your-seat action and we finally have our first monster kill!
Great finale! Looks like we won't have to wait too long for the second season judging by the trailer at the end it seems like it's already shot.
People are starting to communicate! We need a whole lot more of it but it's progress.
''I am what you made me'' -Darth Vader
Great acting from Ewan McGregor. Loved the visions of Anakin that Kenobi has prior to his encounter with Vader it gives off a feeling that something is lurking in the shadows. I wonder if that was a bad effect of Vader getting closer to him or because they were on the same planet. Did we just get a Quinlan Vos mention from Kenobi... and it seems like he's on the same planet! I really hope we get to see him!
Amazing entrance from Vader but it was followed by a not so great confrontation with Kenobi. I thought it looked very amateurish and underwhelming. Kenobi stayed in the fire for 5 seconds and they just called it a day and he just lets the robot rescue him. Just stares at it and says to himself ''eh i'll just let him go''. He spent how many years searching for him... And what the hell was up with the Third Sister did she replace Ezra Miller as The Flash
Very painful to watch and the jokes aren't even funny! They made this show a comedic relief just like Thor: Love and Thunder can't they do anything serious anymore? What even is the story anyway? There's no real plot it's just joke after joke and a few cameo appearances.
I'm hooked! Interested to see where this goes. Solid first episode I like the main character a lot
This was actually going decent... until that cheap predictable twist.
