@charlez7 Who is telling us not to watch it? Is this another "I heard someone say" case? The mysterious "They"???
Absolutely disappointing rehash of the first trilogy. Disney had a real opportunity to do something new and exciting with this ipr but resorted to rushed writing with an extremely compressed story that makes no sense and fails to make anyone care for the characters or events. Emo Kylo is an outstanding metaphor for the whole deal.

Just sit back and enjoy. The haters obviously need to watch the prequels again to see how bad it could have been.
The movie feels like the originals look wise and costume wise. It didn't give every answer about the characters yet and I am sure it will in the next installments.
Where's the mystery if it gives everything away ?

@ptknight do enlighten me with your superior intellect
A good movie ruined by lame pop culture references and political agendas.

@filmtoaster political agendas ahaha
Oh boy if one-line joke with one-line of of dialogue made the movie political. Than I'm really curious to see what you guys consider agendas free movies.

Why not cast Grant Gustin for the part? He is definitely the greatest Barry Allen ever, and a great young actor!
Edit 2022: OK, Ezra, move aside, it's Grant's turn!
I do not deny Ezra was good too, and that the last seasons of Flash have been week sauce (I do agree that most baddies are converted to good after a nice speech, nonetheless I'll keep watching it till the end, I'm that kind of viewer...), but Grant is an established Flash, great actor and apparently a calmer human being than Ezra at the moment. :P
Sorry, I'm team Grant! :)loading replies
because that would mean that legends of tomorrow and supergirl are canon within the DCEU

because DC said the TV shows and the Movies are separate universes . . . for some weird reason. Though to say he is the greatest Barry isn't really that hard as there has only been two live action Barry Allen versions. Grant Gustin and John Wesley Shipp are really the only people who actually played Barry Allen. It is really cool that this new series made John Wesley Shipp be Barry's dad, that's pretty awesome.
SO SO GOOD! It was funny, scary and amazing! Who can hate on this film, it's much better then everyone thought it would be, maybe better than the originals! Not a perfect movie but it is a really strong 9.

Well, Chris wasn't that funny, he was actually annoying some times.
Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.
BRIE LARSON, I love you, thank you for give what the fanboys hate: a strong female character.

@hildebread perhaps you're blind or something idc but what I SAID was just too simple to understand but your lack of interpratation is too much. I never said there isn't strong female characters I only said that fanboys hate these characters.
And well, Hulk got his powers by accident and the world loves him, and I can name tons of heroes that didn't nothing to "earn" their powers so your argument is invalid here.
