Let me assure you, you do not need to be a Rocky or Rambo fan to see this doc… or even a Sly fan for that matter.
Whats fascinating, is the interesting emotional and inspiring way Sly came across. No insta filter no rags to riches fairytale, just the finest, most honest, self deprecating, fascinating, INTERESTING biographical documentaries I have ever seen. Cut above the rest.
I do agree that with a career spanning 6 decades there could have been enough material for a series focusing on each decade but having said that, if you just want learn a bit of history about a legend this is as good a place as any to start.
You will be transfixed for the entire 90 minutes!

Such an excellent show I’ve just binged the box set for the 2nd time and it still gets a 10/10 rating. I haven’t let the last season affect my overall rating in this particular series because I feel that although not great they actually did the best they could with what they had.
It was never going to measure up without Kevin Spacey so I can’t fault the writers at all.
Anyway like I said 10/10 twice!!
I tried several times to get into this series but I could never get past the first episode.
This weekend having nothing else whatsoever to watch I finally took the plunge and thank God I did. I am a massive fan of the vikings series and worried that it would not compare, that was a mistake on my part because this series is it’s own story and once I had accepted that (by season 1 ep 4) I loved it in its own merit. I binged all 4 seasons and now it’s over I feel lost! If you like a good solid battlefield drama then this is for you. If you are vikings fan you would probably like it even more so for the references to both Saxons and vikings that you have already come to love and hate.
If you are in any doubt whatsoever please just give it a try. You will not be disappointed. I have only ever awarded 3 TV series a a 10/10 rating; Breaking Bad, House of cards & Vikings. Amazing show… really quenched my thirst for a series like 24 to come back again. Cliff hangers and twists in the tales, back stabbing and conspiracies… what more could you want! 9/10
Loved this series! Was looking for something new to get hooked on after watching amongst others.. Law & Order SVU, The Coroner, Line of Duty, Criminal Minds & 60 Days In. This was certainly a brilliant replacement! Totally gripping and addictive with cases that are fitting for any of the above mentioned shows. Murder, sexual Crimes, police corruption, blackmail, abduction.. this has it all! If you love Crime Drama and love True Crime then this is a definitely a show for you.

I didn’t think this would be my cup of tea to be honest, preferring good old crime dramas but I am so glad I took the plunge. I was gripped had from start to finish. Never would I have thought that a drama based on chess would be enough to keep me on the edge of my seat, and yet it did just that!! A Truly brilliant series! Netflix you pulled it off yet again! If any of you are in doubt please just give it a try you will not be disappointed!
I originally rated this series as one of my rare 10/10 but after rewatching this series with my son I have decided to drop my rating to 8/10 and the reason for this is purely the last season. I don’t know what I was thinking originally I really don’t. This season could have been brilliant but now I see it lacked lustre and intrigue, it wrote characters off poorly and without just reasoning and most of all it felt lazy.
I was so excited to get my son to watch this.. I kept saying just wait until it all comes together, but it didn’t. I actually thought maybe e we missed a season without realising but we hadn’t.
The plot in ALT could been made so much more of and Juliana’s storyline just faded into the background. In fact her scenes were so insignificant she may as well have not been there. Don’t get me started on Joe Blake.. what a waste of a good character. So there we go…
out of 500 tv shows only 6 made it into my 10/10 and now there’s only 5 shows.

I know the screen writers are on strike I didn’t realise SFX people were too! The green screen scenes are so obvious and so poorly made I would have easily assumed this film was produced in the 80’s

The first series fantastic. A real edge of your seat thriller but the 2nd series - wow it’s really let the show down. Every aspect of it was simply boring. What a shame!

This is based on the true story Josef Fritzl. This movie is horrifying to watch. You have to keep reminding yourself this really happened, and that makes it so hard to watch. It gives you a very small insight into what Elisabeth must have gone through. I’m just glad that poor girl finally found some sort of freedom.
What an annoying Super Halfwit that girl is, not to mention that her sidekick actually makes Robin look good! Luckily I didn’t have high hopes so I’m not disappointed just gutted I’m all out of Superhero TV series to watch now!

Slow burner but that’s to be expected as this isn’t meant to be fast paced action movie but a story being told. Nonetheless the action scenes are brilliant and the writing is getting there. Definitely worthy of a watch to any John Wick fan! Up to episode 3 would so far rate it 8/10

Terrible chemistry, terrible acting, terrible script, terrible storyline. If anyone has watched Stargirl - Stargirl is better! If they worked hard on this they could maybe have had something, but the lazyness behind every aspect of this shines through. Pity!
The only good thing about this show is Fimmel if you are a fan of his then do watch… but don’t expect to be gripped
Nowhere near as good as the first one… did give me a few laughs though. :)
I’m afraid I can’t jump on the bandwagon with this one… I just don’t get it. I found it boring predictable and lazy to say the least. The characters had no emotional chemistry with each other or anyone else for that matter. It just felt wooden. I see the fascination with fans of the game but for me I’d rather watch FTWD and that’s saying something!

I’ve been patient, I’ve watched 6 episodes but each and everyone is more boring than the previous. It’s a shame…. The idea is good but the writing has let it down terribly. 3 /10 at a push.
Well I somehow managed to get to season 2 Episode 12, but with the best will in the world I can not watch another single episode ever again…
It is so dreadful it actually makes Teletubbies look exciting. I promise you no excitement, no riveting story lines, no cliff hanging moments, no characters to love or hate.. just bland vanilla..
Don’t get me stated on the lead Walker. The man is a total moron! He can’t say a single sentence without pausing after every other word. Reading his lines is like my 4 year old learning to read. I’m sure he wasn’t as bad as this Supernatural?!? Very weird
I have watched all the best shows and I realise I am now scraping the barrel so I don’t expect amazing, I don’t even expect good…
But at the very least I expect watchable!! Even a 3/4+ / 10 but this is a generous 2 very generous.
This is clearly is the show where bad actors go to die!
