Terrible episode, I've wanted to like this show, but this one killed it for me.
This show does not have enough interesting characters for me to care about what happens.
Ah, yes. Let's set up a romance between a strong woman and a misogynist, that "bond" by using fanfic tropes.
About 2 episodes back the series is getting strong again. I’ll bet it will increase more until the final episode of the season 2. That Cliffhanger was :flushed::flushed: thats messed up
I'm not sure whether Al Franken hadn't got enough sleep, was suffering from jet lag, or just high on something, but his interview was a bit of an incoherent and rambling mess.
Jim Carrey has still got it! Wish he was in more of the skits, but that opener was gold.
I don't believe this is going to be airing. Production of SNL has been put on an indefinite hold due to COVID-19.
One of the funniest shows ever ;D
Don't know why people give this show so much grief. It's a a lightweight comedy and nothing more. Why do all shows have to mean something
In this delightful episode w/o special guests, they bring back the Sideways skit & Voice-Over (I think that's what it's called.). As a MSTie ("Mystery Science Theater 3000" fan), that skit amuses me. Also Jonathan Mangum encounters some accidental slapstick but is fine.
Cops and Clobbers – Great segment on #PoliceBrutality and #AbuseofPower in the #US. #CopCowards
The laziness of the writers really shines through in this episode. All of a sudden Sen Paley is a counter Intel expert, despite not even realizing he has been a Russian stooge the past 3 months. And of course the little Hacker in Sol's 'secret' group is allowed to chill out in his mums basement leading to a convenient chat with Paley's assistant. So then Paley decides he may as well aid the Russians in their efforts to bring down the Presidency.
Fuck me that is some lazy ass writing.
Colbert is such a good interviewer. He's able to adapt his questions to the situation; as he said it in this episode, "i don't normally use my cards". Additionally, i gained a new respect for Comey. That man is calm, collective, and thinks things through.
hahah. What a fun episode. Stephen Colbert and Jennifer Lawrence talking, drinking, and having a good time.
I don't understand why I keep watching this. I guess it's just checking items from the "on deck" list at this point. No plot, no character development, characters themselves become more and more dumb, cartoony and one-sided. I don't know. They should just cancel it.
Hanks + Baldwin on that plane scene is gold
Was actually bracing myself for a dissapointment, but it turned out to be much, much better than I anticipated.
I would like to believe this is real but whenever they do a trick of any kind the camera cuts to a different shot at the pivotal moment, eg. When they wax the guys back it would have been so easy to leave the camera rolling on a shot where you see the wax strip applied then removed but it cuts away just before it’s ripped off. Even if they cut away after it was applied but cut to a medium close up that showed the guys head and the strip being removed, that would have sold it much better. When Justin levitates the box he is standing behind it so he can hold it with the hand behind the box while holding his other hand up. All these lame little tricks don't set up the finale very well and the whole show hinges on Justin being a likable guy with a trustworthy face.
If the last guy pranked wasn’t in on it to start with, I’m going to guess that he woke up along the way and they had to get him to pretend.
Cheating already, in episode 2! BOO. If you're a good enough baker, you shouldn't have to modify the decoys to fool the judges.
Funny ending, but it felt like it took a while to get there
Even Lilith can't resurrect this...
Not bad though a step down from last episode. Freddy and Eve need to grow some more. Thankfully the David moments are kept to a bare minimum. Maybe the writers are getting the picture.
Best one of the hew series! Seems more like the old Frasier.
Started slow, but I like what they did with this flashback. If you can get past agenda pushing and politics and focus on how this hardened and shattered relationships between the characters you’ll enjoy it.
Casting directors deserve a ton of credit for this whole show. The performances have been marvellous but I think they really nailed the casting.
More cheating, BOOOOO. I don't like it.
Another throwaway episode, and not a well structured one at that.
Just like the previous episode, another throw away. The season fatigue is really starting to set in, and the finale can't come soon enough. First time I can recall giving 2 Frasier episodes back-to-back 6s (usually I stick with an overly generous 7 when I'm okay with the episode).
It’s nice to see the regular gang in fantasy scenes for a change - the dream storyline even allows us to see Martin crooning and dancing like his hero Frank.
Just surprised there wasn’t a “scooby-doobyl sneaked in there.
Just like a few episodes felt like the farewell of Lilith, this definitely feels like the farewell of Maris.
Boy Ann was annoying. I'm more annoyed Frasier never got that date with Caroline. Fingers crossed for the remainder of the season.
