Honestly this season is so so cringe inducing. What has happened to this show. It feels like they need to push the propaganda like hard. It's really werid
I'm not sure what's missing, but these episodes just feel off. I know it's not good to compare, but I'll do it anyway, The Mandalorian felt exciting and like the Star Wars Universe was filled with characters... This show feels like everything is stale and if it didn't have the nostalgia of Obi and Vader I don't think anyone would be interested.
This episode had some nice bits. The scenes with the bodies Obi found was very intriguing. That was the only thing I liked. They really did skip Obi getting better and it was glossed over like months had past but I believe it was days. I can't imagine that The Mandalorian would have done it this way.
I'm really losing interest and hoping that something happens soon to make this worth the wait.
I'm not sure I've laughed as hard as I did at the water pressure bit. What a pay-off.
Oh god, Hari's past haircut is definitely enough to make the empire fall.
Also, found Jessica Hyde!
I like that Captain Pike's disguise was mainly parting his hair on opposite side.
Honestly, what the hell is this?
child leia is a marvelous partner to obi-wan... her wit and charm came through
Sabine getting stabbed by lightsaber: I am fine, tis but a flesh wound.
Ahsoka on top of ship in space: This is fine, I am going to do some acrobatic jumps in space, fall back on the ship and prevent the enemy from blowing us up using my lightsabers.
Ahsoka falling on the ocean: Well, I am dead... Time for some memberberries and time travelling!
This is the start we should have had at the beginning of Season 1.
The fight scenes were quite impressive. I was not happy that Carrie Ann Moss was killed off right away. But overall a decent episode.
This is the first episode that I didn't like very much. Older Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) is nothing like the younger one. It's like we've been introduced to a totally new character.
But the worst thing about the episode to me was Larys. So far he is like a mix of Ramsay and Littlefinger, but without the good writing. He just seems like a total stereotypical villain.
1x03 Adar: 7.3/10 (Good)
Arondir is taken prisoner by the Orcs, Nori finds herself in a sticky situation with her family because of a secret friend she has been keeping from them. Galadriel and her new travel companion Halbrand arrive at a new Kingdom, Númenor. A satisfying continuation to the story that manages to keep things interesting. There's not much to remark about this episode, but we got to see more of Middle Earth, got introduced to some new characters, and the episode did a fantastic job of establishing the grandeur and scale of Middle-Earth. The show is starting to find its footing, and I’m excited for what is to come. Oh, and I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but the VFX and cinematography is just breathtaking.
Did anybody else spot the Yul Brynner-Gunslinger cameo? Awesome!
Basically just a boring filler episode. There was only ~3 minutes of content actually worth watching, and it was all at the end.
Who would have imagined that bringing firearms to the moon would have any negative repercussions?! :joy:
as if the government would negotiate with terrorists.
The request from the terrorist- That the PM should fuck a pig is just unbelievable stupid. This episode is by far the worst shit I've seen on television at all.
PS: I want my wasted 45 minutes back
The Majority of MCU fans who wanted to see She-hulk twerking with Meghan Thee Stallion Is now satisfied.
The moment when Pam is crying and Dwight gives his handkerchief to her is soo sweet.
Do I want a third season? Sure, this is one of my favourite book series of all time.
Would I be surprised if it all ends here? Not at all.
'Clunky' is the best word I can think of to describe this entire show. Amazing costume design, amazing special effects, amazing soundtrack and (for the most part) amazing actors. Amir Wilson killed it this season. Episodes 4 or 5 were so good I thought we were going somewhere (btw, bring back those writers who helped Thorne in those episodes, for the love of God).
But the problems are still there. Even after two whole seasons, scenes are edited poorly, Jack Thorne's writing is abysmal and the pacing is extremely inconsistent. Those are problems that were more or less understandable for the first half of season 1, but we're two thirds of the way in. What did the witches even do so far, apart from dramatically staring at walls and talking about prophecies? What was the point of showing Mary Malone wandering through Citagazze for two episodes?
A shame, considering how good all other aspects of the show are. I tried to keep an optimist mindset, and I'll be watching if a third season ever comes out, but I can now affirm that this adaptation has been mostly a disappointment.
Booooooooooooo! Booooooo! throws vegetables at TV and hissing in Peasantry
Go fuck yourself, Dar Adal.
So disappointing. My expectations were already rock bottom. Bad acting, bad dialogue, predictable story, boring characters. Some of the costumes looked like comic con outfits. Couldn't even get the Neimoidian voices right. It genuinely felt like I was watching a Doctor Who episode at some points (and not a good one). Star Wars is officially dead and Disney killed it.
I'd lick a table for $20,000
Oh man, all this is such a lazy bad writing... so they're going into an unknown potentially dangerous place. And the alien race warns them specifically saying that is a very dangerous place indeed. They come there and who goes into the recon mission? The admiral, the captain of the whole ship, the first hand, the main doctor, the main engineer - so, all the "head" of the ship. So if something happens the whole ship has nobody to command. It's an official union explorer ship with hundreds of people on board and they have no exploration team who goes first at all. Okay, even if I can forgive them that stupidity for the sake of tv-show excuse to show the main characters more often. But what's next?
Do they go into this dangerous place in space suits with weapons? Of course no, they go just like that and admiral literally put his face into some weird looking bio-thingy. It's like Space 101 of what not to do. Of course he gets infected, of course he's a trojan horse. They don't even secure him anyhow, just walk and go, do whatever, infect others. Then we going to spread around the ship while having no weapons at all, because why would we, we're going to have them for a minute at the end of the episode otherwise no thrilling moments.
If you think you already seen all of that somewhere but in a much less stupid way - you are right, the episode of Firefly had exactly this, but much more logical.
In contrast to many comments here I really liked this episode. Especially the part with the (former) doctor. Best episode sofar.
And no I don’t need 100% Mando. I also need these sidestories otherwise it would become quite boring.
Overall I liked the episode (Wong!) but gotta say the 4th wall breaks felt incredibly forced. They were neither funny nor clever and the weak ending didn't help either. 6/10.
Awful pointless and stupid. in a series of great episodes this one made me want to give up the show. Why is all I can say, who cares this much about coach beard. God it was terrible. self indulgent crap
