Already wrote a comment about this episode before, but it got lost in the upgrade to trakt 2.0. I have to emphasize it again after rewatching this episode for about the 20th time. Cross Game is a f'n masterpiece. The climax of this episode just gives me a feels ride every time without fail. God do I love Aoba. She can be my childhood friend with a dead sister syndrome Tsundere any day. 10/10.
What a masterpiece of an episode. I could watch Episode 39 over and over again. This was worth the entire buildup throughout this arc (the buildup itself was awesome as well). Youko is such a dank queen. I'd let her rule over me any day.
The first episode/movie of this show was spectacular. It really sets the stage for the rest of the series. I just watched it and couldn't resist so I read ahead in the manga. I'm 85 chapters in (and will catch up) and unfortunately it's tough for the story to really live up to the highs in that first volume (where we reached at the end of this long episode).
We'll see but the anime has done a very good job with the adaptation from the manga. They haven't skipped much (if anything) and I've liked the little details and pacing elements they've added so far. It gives a bit more emotional impact to some of the scenes in the manga. I'm not sure exactly where the show will end in terms of finishing which arcs, but hopefully we get more seasons of this in the future and a more complete adaptation as the pace definitely slows down after this rollercoaster episode.
The ratings for this show are very high right now and imo definitely inflated due to how amazing the first episode/movie is/was with a #1 ranking in MAL currently. I think that it'll definitely go back down to Earth a little as the rest of the story at least in this first season will not be able to top those early moments seen in this first episode. Still it is a fantastic show and adaptation nonetheless and I'm very much looking forward to this every week.
I know that I wrote a comment on this episode a while back but it is lost in the "DATABASE".
I'll reiterate. This is the greatest first episode that I've ever seen. Hands down. 10/10 episode for a 10/10 series. And DAT ENDING. Biggest feels ride ever.
Oh. My. Lord. I don't know if my heart could have taken anymore Iroha after this OVA... The Iroha-overload was just glorious. Best girl among a sea of Best girls.
Wow. Completely blown away by this OVA/special. So heartwarming and heartbreaking. Legitimately the best episode of the series.
Bran: I can never be Lord of Winterfell, I can never be Lord of anything, I'm the Three-eyed Raven.
Also Bran: I'm the King.
"Everyone! Remain calm! The Crypts are perfectly SAFE!!!!! I repeat, the CRYPTS ARE SAFE!!"
What do both The Wall and Jon Snow have in common?
They both got "blown" away at the end ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
That episode was LIT. Literally...

Truly lives up to the name of "Game of Leaks", as I definitely "leaked" a bit myself at the end of the episode. (ಥ﹏ಥ)
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Don't rate this before the episode releases!!
...unless you are rating it a 10/10. Then, by all means, rate away because we all know that this is gonna f'n rock ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
And after seeing it, 10/10 confirmed because... F*CK YOU, OLLY!!
The Greyjoys & the Dornish: "Damn. We done fucked up. At least it can't get any worse from here."
The Tyrells: "Hold my beer."
“You’ll make a wonderful lord, and any lady would be lucky to have you. But I’m not a lady, I never have been. That’s not me.”
My own balls got blue from the ferocity of this line. Another Baratheon rejected by a Stark... shocking!!
In the past two episodes: Arya 2 "Powerful" Men 0.
I think the big question that arises after this episode is...
"Who will end up NOT making out with Archie in this series?"
I'm dying to find out!!
Oh god. This show is so amazing. Right in my feels...
Mumen Rider... You had me at "Justice Crash". You had me at "Justice Crash"...
Jamie going from Mr. "Poopay" to the king of grammar. The Zava-effect.
Serves you right, Reiner. Sayonara. Bitch.
Hopefully...
“Drooling and pooping around the house.”
“Takes after her father.”
"Come on old man. It's way past your bedtime."
Rupert already hates Bex. It's amazing :D
"HOLD THE DOOR?!?!?!"

You're god damn right, brothah. You're god damn right... ಥ_ಥ
Damn. While the teacher was super obvious as the killer, I was hoping that the creators were throwing us off on purpose with a blatant red herring. Other than that flaw, this was a fantastic episode with a "mini-showdown" between Satoru and sensei. With only two more episodes to go, it's f'n game time.
KORRASAMI!!!! That was the dankest of endings. What a great series. While "The Legend of Korra" wasn't as consistently good as "Avatar", I was still very entertained and loved getting more of this world. Sequel to the sequel, please?
"I hope I'm not too late".
You glorious bastard. You never are. You never are...
"PIKIIIIIITUUUUUS!?!?!?!?!!!!!"
The legend has returned. Greatest. Ending. Ever.
While ERASED finished on a positive note (especially with dat Airi ending!!), I can't help but feel that things were just a bit too predictable and cookie-cutter during the second half of the show. The first half of it was riveting and amazing, but the show really started to lose itself once Kayo's problem got resolved. Overall, it's a solid show and thriller, but it didn't really break any new ground especially with how everything progressed towards Yashiro being the way too obvious "ultimate villain". Also, it might have been a little rushed in the last few episodes and could have probably benefited from a 13th episode to add a little more filler and depth to the final sequences, Yashiro's motives/intentions, and the events post-time-skip.
I'll give the show a solid 7.5/10 or so. Not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I was entertained. Plus, you can never go wrong with having too many loli characters ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Well, after watching the first episode of Riverdale, I don't quite know what to think of it all yet. Riverdale seems to be more heavily influenced by the CW's style turning this into more of a darker mystery driven show than I had been anticipating. We'll see how everything shakes out as the first episode already had its hands full just introducing the myriad of characters here. Honestly, I think that they might have overdone it trying to jam too many characters into the opening episode. I really liked what was done in the recent Archie comic reboot but perhaps this mystery-story based approach is better suited for TV vs the lighter affair of the comics.
All that I know is that we need... more Jughead!!
Very solid start with a nice little supernatural twist on the mystery genre. I'm on the edge of my seat to find out what happens next and I really liked both female characters introduced so far (Katagiri and Satoru's mom). I'm interested to see if Satoru's "revival" ability comes back into play in little parts while he's been sent this far back to the past.
This is definitely a show that I'm tempted to read the manga ahead of time. We'll see if my willpower can last...
So I've been keeping up with Riverdale and, to my surprise, the show has become pretty solid. I was definitely a bit let down by the first episode, but the following episodes have done a pretty good job building the community and characters around Riverdale. It's definitely got some of that kooky murder-mystery vibe from Twin Peaks (which apparently was a drawing point for this series & with Madchen Amick playing Mrs. Cooper) and I'll admit that things are getting more interesting with regards to Jason's "murder" especially with some of the revelations in this episode. While it definitely isn't classic Archie (and probably shouldn't be thought of that way), it's got its own merits and has definitely improved with each episode.
"Better lawyer up, bitch..."
Baller. Status. Confirmed.
