I actually liked this movie pretty much. No surprises, but a movie. Recommended for those who like the genre...
I love that there are a lot of people who were hoping to see a bunch of queer people be killed in a slasher movie, only to spend 2 hours finding out that the real horror is homophobia and conversion therapy itself.
This very much felt like a movie with a queer theme written by straight people. Where was my subtext? Where was the camp? Why wasn't the movie having fun?!
Watch Sleepaway Camp instead for a much better ending (I know it can be read as problematic but we've reclaimed it, it's ours now)
I don't know why this movie is cataloged as Horror, this is clearly a Comedy! A very good one for the time being BTW...
Apparently you need to go into this movie not seeing any marketing since most of the negative reviews talk about how it was "mismarketed". I had no idea what it was about, had no expectations, and I thought it was pretty good. I guess if you went in with expectations of something it isn't, you'd be disappointed.

Testing is still done based on male-based research when diagnosing females. If you're going to complain about inequality don't use information that is very wrong and is actually inequality in the other direction.
Men complete suicide more often than women because they choose more violent methods, like guns. Women attempt suicide at a much higher rate than men complete it, though.
