Don’t trust the good reviews. 80% of this show is the equivalent of watching paint dry. You. Will. Feel. Every. Minute. That. Passes. Unnecessarily long and boring.
Season 3 is just a joke. Season 2 had worse animation than Season 1 but was still animated to a competent level whereas the newest season can't even do that. The terrible animation can be blamed on the anime having been given to a new studio (Studio Deen) who then outsourced to an even lower level studio (Marvy Jack), for a reasonably well known and popular anime this is just disgusting to watch. If you are reading this I would advise you to stop watching this mess of an anime and just read the manga which has far superior art and better storytelling. As a fan of series I wish that a newer season would have been delayed and given to studio that can produce a high level of animation for the series (BONES, MAPPA, etc. or go back to A1). One of the hypest fights in the series (Meliodas vs Escanor/ The One) just looked like a piece of shit, even the fan animation on YouTube did a better job.
I really liked the show in story/VFX/CGI/choreography wise. But for the good sake of Triss Merigold and Yeneffer, I shall downvote this show on every platform I can. Hopefully one day such productions can learn to pick the right actors for the character.
My most beloved TV show got destroyed in a matter of minutes. The previous episodes of S08 at least gave me some kind of emotion, episode 05 was a flat line. This truly is a masterpiece, a masterpiece of destruction. They've destroyed everything! The character development, the story, the plot, the meaning of GOT, the writing of G.R.R. Martin. They've destroyed all the hard work put in all of these years, they've spit on everything. I'm not going to hate the show, it gave me so much, and it will continue to be my favorite, but i'm just going to pretend this last season was never made. I'm going to imagine all the possible theories, all the story plots that could have been made, and just hope the writer finishes the series some day.
Sesion 8 the waste of our time.
Should we pretend this season never happened?
Started off interesting and with some promise, but really went downhill in the second half. I was bored out of my mind for some episodes. And that last arc was so short and anti-climactic you have to wonder what all that build-up was about.
The animation quality is definitely above-average and there were some good scenes (mostly in the first half), but overall a waste of time really.
This season is by far the weakest. The perfect example of wasted potential. I'm still only on episode 10 but I doubt the other 10 are any better.
Edit: Yup. Nice way to murder a series so great. Bjorn and Lagertha were completely massacred. Floki's journey doesn't really amount to his character in any way. Ivar was nice for the most part. This clearly needs to go back to the 10 episodes formula.
Unexpectedly funny and touching right out of the gate. I guess I'm going to have to watch this one too...
Just a mess. Only for manga reader. Otherwise just skip it or watch the last 2 episodes (for fun/action), you wouldn't understand anyway.
I really liked the previous ending but this one is fine too
Having finally finished my slow burn of this series all I can do is agree with other comments here. This series offers a sense of tranquillity when watching that I have rarely seen anywhere else. You just get absorbed into sometimes dreamlike atmosphere of it all. Each episode is somewhat self-contained and you really never know how it will end. Some end on a happy note, some on a sorrowful one, some are more ambiguous or bitersweet.
The message throughout is very much that Mushi are not malevolent or evil, they are just like forces of nature, and can be harmful or helpful to humans. Each story is more about how people deal with these things, with Ginko travelling around and helping where he can.
With a second season just around the corner all I can really do is repeat other people's recommendations - if you haven't already, watch this series.
Ends on cliff hanger. Starts new ep. 5 minutes in its good. next 40 minutes its quite disappointing. Ends on cliff hanger. Repeat.
Maybe it's just me but so far this season is very hit and miss. This one was more of a miss, again.
Wanted to see what all the buzz was about... I've watched 5 episodes and got bored out of my mind. Feels like it's targeted for teenagers.
It has a very simplistic take to it: ultra-hyper-dramatization of very basic concepts and bad behaviors of a minority of people. Reviews say it raises questions about society and politics but does not provide arguments or details either way. The stories are sometimes interesting but lack any depth and in the end, it's the idea that counts, or so they say. Just presenting basic questions with no details and some vague/weird drama only makes people argue and thus promoting the series. I find it pretentious.
One of the society satires i enjoy is South Park which most of the times present quite a complete picture about a topic with multiple perspectives and arguments. Compared to South Park at that, Black Mirror is kind of showing you only what the main character(s) see.
From what I head Monster Musume has it roots deep in the fetish market... being about monster girls and all. With each iteration of the story/characters this got a little tamer. This isn't saying much though as it's still quite racy. That is also my main gripe with the show: making a little girl a bird monster shouldn't be an excuse to sexualize lolis. Same applies for mental potato heads.
Looking past all that we have a colorful cast of monster girls forming a harem around the main character allowing for some alternate takes on tired antics. Not a masterpiece but sort of fun.
you know you're getting old when slow slice of life is your favorite Genre ☺️
Penned by NisiOisiN this is mostly a boring tournament show in the vein of Fate... just a bit more edgy (looking at you necromancer bunny). You shouldn't bother with this unless are shooting to see every action show ever. The format is repetitive (queue backstory, then fight!), the production is far from sleek and there isn't much to latch onto given the format otherwise.
How does one manage to make "action" scenes boring? Adapt a light-novel about a FPS apparently. And as it should be for SAO the seemingly incompetent girl is famous and a Mary Sue.
Wow. Well that sucked even more than I was expecting for a season finale, and I had low expectations in the first place with how disappointing this entire second season has been. I can maybe guess it was probably better in the LN, but all the arcs in this second season were pretty bland to begin with story-wise. I don't see how they would be that much better in the novels. I love isekai light novels but Overlord is definitely one series that I never really liked too much (even the first anime season), and I will definitely not be reading the LN any time soon.
As for the third season, I'll probably still watch it when it airs in the summer as 20 minutes a week for 13 episodes isn't that much time. Still, I'm definitely not going to invest any more time in this series than that though.
Terrible, just an extremely boring generic anime
There are probably better anime series you can watch than this. Don't waste your time.
This anime is really heartwarming and beautiful. Recommend any person out there to watch it.
I will start off with some positives for this how. I absolutely loved the OST for bleach I thought Shiro Sagisu did an amazing job.
Now to the negative....
The show went on too long and had too many fillers. It seemed like there were whole seasons that did not advance plot or character development.
I'd always wondered what I didn't like about manga gaming films, and now I know: too much dialogue and repetitive, unoriginal fight scenes.
This is a beautiful anime. This is not an anime about people with superpowers, awesome mecha robots or ninjas with legendary swords. No, this is an anime about real life. The life of thirty-something bachelor Daikichi and a young six year old girl named Rin.
These episodes are as normal and close to real life as they can be. And that is what is so beautiful about it. It shows you what it would be like to be a parent of someone who still has a lot of questions about everything around her and is still naive about the world.
I can definitely recommend this anime to anyone. Especially people who are thinking about having kids should see this one. Usagi Drop gives an unique perspective of that of parenthood.
If you liked the 1st series, don't bother watching this. It's terrible and it's just a lesbian side story.
Terrible show you want so badly to be good. The writing is so lazy and cheap. Cliffhanger tactics to keep people watching.
