Buffalo Bill

This is hands down the most underrated thing in the history of underrated things. NO ONE knows about this show yet it's one of the best. For real. I am going to rewatch this weekend so I can weigh in on each episode here and get it some more love.

Rome

I love this show. I've always thought if this came out after Game of Thrones maybe it would have been more popular and it'd still be around. Or at least gotten the third season they wanted instead of having to make it happen in two. But then again maybe people would think it was a GoT ripoff or something. Great show. Check it out if you haven't yet.

Difficult People

I am very amused by the annoyance experienced by the two other comments on here. Complete disagree. Love this show!

I saw this on Saturday introduced by the man himself, QT, and it was spectacular. Got tickets to see it 3 more times already. So good!

Saw this tonight for the 7th time and I'm trying to make that the last time. I could watch this beaut all day!!!!

Narcos: Season 3

This season was absolutely AMAZING. I was worried for sure...no Pablo, no badass blond dude, etc. But turns out we're just fine with Pena, who more than fills the shoes in the lead. Also love the two agents who work with him. And the Cali Cartel!!! I honestly never should have watched this before trying to sleep, every single episode was so full of tension I was WIRED after every single one. Can't wait for S4!!

Black Christmas

I LOVE this movie. A stoned cold classic through and through. Olivia is criminally underrated, same with the director, Bob Clark. He's got two horror classics (this and Deathdream), a seminal teen comedy (Porky's) and one of the most lasting Christmas classics of all time, A Christmas Story. That's four classics over 3 genres. That's impressive. Also......he apparently gave John Carpenter the idea for Halloween. Give this guy more love! Hey also....John Saxon!!!! Another icon!!

MacGruber

This is one of the greatest comedies of all time. OF ALL TIME. Sadly I'm not shocked to read the other comment here that hated it because I've run into a few other yahoos in the world that feel the same way. I don't get it at all but to each their own, ya know? I've never laughed harder at a movie the first, second, third, 10th time I watched this. Hahah just remembered my avatar pic is Grubes. Anyway love this movie. Supes hoping they deliver on a Christmas themed Die Hard inspired sequel. Go for Grubes.

Midnight Run

Seen this movie about 8 times, recently in the theaters which was great. Hands down, without question, a perfect movie. Okay, it sure does seem easy to knock someone out with just a punch, but who cares. It's hilarious, action packed and the characters are well thought out and funny from their own specific point of view. It's what every "reluctant buddies on the run" movie strives to be but none have ever touched. Perfection.

The Return of the Living Dead

This movie was such a blast. I was floored by how much fun I had. I enjoyed it so much it made me kind of like zombies again, a genre I have pretty much avoided thanks to the grim slog that is the Walking Dead. Man this was fun.

Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II

I. Love. This. Movie. I'm not trying to touch any classic JLC titles but I definitely enjoy this wayyyyyyy more than the first one. What a blast!!! I know there are parts where we are supposed to say eww she must be possessed but I looooovvvvveeeed when she snapped. Also, anyone saying its a Carrie ripoff....guess what, anything set in high school with a picked on student is going to draw Carrie comparisons. But I can guarantee this movie goes a step further during the supposed "Carrie" moments.

By the way, Carrie is a masterpiece up there with Alien, I'm not trying to hate on Carrie. I just want this movie to be enjoyed for what it is, and not for supposedly just ripping off Carrie.

Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Season 1

Just watched the whole thing in less than a day. Pretty good. It took me about 4 or 5 eps for me to be like, YES YES YES. But it was good enough the whole time for me to go from ep to ep. I think this does a great job at nailing a good version of the character Jack Ryan and mixes elements of all the Ryans from the films. At times it was hard not to see Jim from the Office, especially when he's flirting with Abbie Cornish at dinner. But he's a great Jack Ryan. Good show, very much looking forward to season 2.

Piranha

Love this movie. Another CLASSIC Dante. But I will say this...the new Corman commentary on the 2019 scream factory steel book is a major disappointment. Don’t call it a commentary if it’s just an audio interview with nothing to do with what was happening on screen!!! A real bust.

I saw this movie last night at 9pm. As soon as the credits started rolling I bought a ticket to the 12:15 and saw it again. This movie is amazing!!!! Cruise man, just killing it!

Halloween

Expectations on this have been sky high for me. I remember where I was when this movie was announced, that's how long I've been counting the days. Sure, I have my own picky gripes about a few moments in the first hour, but once it gets cooking and that final act hits, its all bullseyes. I really really dug it. Can't wait to see again!

Quantum of Solace

An underrated Bond film. People like to make fun of the title. Whatevs. I'll admit the script was hurt by the strike, they did what they could, it's the shortest Bond film and Craig's least successful outing. I still like it, and a revisit is always worth it for the GREAT song, and that motorcycle flip Bond does in the beginning. So badass.

Phenomena

This might be a slow burn but boy howdy is it worth it for the last 20 minutes. So many gasps and "what theeee" and "NO WAY". Good stuff. And I had no idea what an amazing child actress Jennifer Connelly was.

Ghostbusters

I was cautiously optimistic about this going in but it met expectations and more. Funnier than I thought it would be and a great job mixing old and new. Also the cameos were fun and the best one in the bunch is not the one you'd expect. It's not a full 5 stars because stupid nitpicking issues that I can ignore when I'm yukking it up like unnecessary GH green screen and franchise setups. But a great time.

Christmas Evil

Love this movie. And what a weird wonderful movie it is. And lead performance! Also.....there are like 4 familiar faces in this cast from when they were young, I think the biggest one is that it's Patricia Richardson's first role, aka Jill from Home Improvement! Crazy.

C.H.U.D.

Love this movie! Great gritty 1980s New York, great pre-Home Alone Heard 'n Stern, great slow burn on the CHUD reveals, love it. Also....John Goodman plays a cop for one scene, and in a matter of 30 seconds proves why he was so, so amazing as Dan Conner on Roseanne. The guy just oozes charms and charisma.

Carrie

I love this movie so much. Even though there are a few weird parts...the score while the class works out, the sped up part at the tux store, a few other moments...those just add that odd De Palma touch that makes me love this movie so much more. Sissy Spacek is unbelievable!!!

Baby Driver

I've been worried sick about this movie since the first trailer. Everyone loved that thing....I thought it was TERRIBLE. So cliche with the whole, "Baby? that's your name?" thing) The good news is no need to worry. I saw it Tuesday and it was amazing! Seeing it again on Sunday and listening to the soundtrack as I type this. So good!
