Why was starlight allowed to wear her lovely first outfit again for this when they were so adamant about her wearing the new one just recently?

@kyria-crosszeria She tells Hughie that corporate deemed the older outfit a better choice (family-friendly) for the Jesus Camp.
So now we're made to distrust anyone who's been acting, as far as we know, for the better of everyone. Beatrix' story is believable, but still, she's a manipulative, psychotic killer, mh, actually, she's been lying a lot herself, despite having "good excused" as to why.
All that doesn't look too good on her, but it still makes me distrust the ulterior motives of the teachers a little bit. Just a little.Because her entire argument(s) kind of rests on the "fact" that Rosalind implanted a true memory.
And that might not be the case. We have no idea who she really is, and why she's imprisoned.
So I'm still siding with the grown ups (well, besides another manipulative, psychotic Luna) and hope they and the kids will find common ground. They're not very wise on how though, going back on the "you know what you have to know", "a soldier just takes order" etc. That was a bit disappointing to see.

@kyria-crosszeria you make a very strong point, at first they get you to trust the teachers, then think that Beatrix is a mean person, to her also being a killer, then try and switch that back up and make you trust Beatrix and her story and that the three teachers are bad. If they are pointing the viewers in that direction now it's just so they can surprise us again with a different twist, being that you're probably right about Rosalind, and she's actually imprisoned for good reason.

Seems a bit “convenient” that the writers choose to have Lisa be absolutely heart broken about being pregnant, not wanting to get an abortion and then her body just doing it on its own.
Oh wait, those aren’t even legal anymore in the US right?loading replies
@kyria-crosszeria From a (North-)European perspective US law sometimes seems archaic. However, since federal legislation has been overturned earlier this year, individual states are back in charge. And NY is not very restrictive when it comes to abortions. New York's law seems to be even less prohibitive than Norwegian law. Can't tell whether costs are covered by health insurance like it probably would be in Norway (or my home country) though.
Layton and the red switch was the most infuriating and unnecessary thing I've seen in a long time.

@kyria-crosszeria I think it only comes second to Melanies final words of the Episode:
"I knew the choice would be yours. It's what we live with. Every second of our existence."
I actually pointed out after watching Episode 2 (you can check if you want - its dated May25th 2020) that if Layton suceeds humanity won't survive.
There needed to be a change of priorities in Layton - opposed to the movie the story doesn't end here.
There also needed to be an explanation to keep Conelly involved, which will keep me watching, since Melanie is actually the only character I like.
It also futhers the question looming over the show in general:
How much of our "humanity" are we willing to give up in order to save the species.
The thing about the people not willing to sacrifice few in order to save the rest is, that we will never hear from them since there is no one to tell their story (or better the story of their selfishness).
Dieing isn't hard - Living with things you had to do because they were necessary is.
I'm sorry for you if you expected something like "I had to save both because I am both: Bruce Wayne and Batman" - This isn't a show about superheroes.
Funny how it's all been built up to you cheering for the tailies, but then you get this far, and you, or at least I, can't say entirely that I don't feel Melanie is doing a good job with what she's doing. So the idea of complete chaos or her being thrown under the train, figuratively speaking, isn't appealing to me either.
Now they're all like "I want her to pay, I want her to pay", not realising the simple fallacy that what you're trying to make her pay for is her taking over Wilford's job, and keeping y'all goddamn alive ffs. Maybe rather strictly so, but that might just all have been exactly like Wilford would have done. People being all like boohoo you deceived us is just stupid.

@kyria-crosszeria Funny, I was being crucified when I wrote something simmilar on one of the 1st episodes.
Yes! Melanie is doing what has to be done although no one wants to do it (or decide that it needs to be done).
My gods, this random hen/egg-part seems a bit like your usual beach-episode you get in anime hahaha.

@slyazx Hahaha, I wouldn't be surprised. What about milk for example? Do cows have to sit in college and pump to make some extra money?
And how often do we want to repeat a scene in which Kinsey is like “we have to do x!” And Tyler is like “so you mean to do x, alone?!?” And “no because we will do it together.”
And really, youll give the keys to the one person you already accused of being irresponsible with them, and after explicitly saying Bode is acting better with them.Wtf is this show doing, this is going terribly downhills.
Can someone confirm how much better the novels are, because the story itself has so much potential were it not for this bad writing.and when did well lady get a fire key? Did I miss something? I only remember her talking bode out of the anywhere key. Has she had it since before?

@kyria-crosszeria To answer your question, "When did Well Lady get the Fire key?" If you can remember near the beginning after she got the Anywhere key from Bode she went from place to place. Well Lady used some guys laptop, found an article about the guy who died in the very beginning of episode 01, used the Anywhere key to get to his burnt home. Once there she had seen 3 kids, one which had the Fire key. Somehow she broke the shows rule (which we as viewers didn't know at that point) and stole his Fire key and pushed him through the door where he got ran over by the subway train. Hope that jogs your memory.

Soooo... I know there’s a lot that’s wrong with this, problems everywhere but one that is striking me right now is just how irresponsible the grown ups are.
I mean. Their dad just died horribly. And they don’t get counselling or therapy, nothing? As far as I know that’s mandatory here and kids get that for free? Like..? There’s so much damage trauma does, and kids don’t have the armour grown ups have so they need help especially ... but like? What? Acting out is a typical behaviour for boys after or during trauma. “He’s Not been himself”, no shit. The “what’s with the shorts?”
“Do my legs look cold to you?”
actually was a fun line.So if you’re going inside a door but leave the key outside ... wouldn’t that make you extremely vulnerable to strange well ladies out for keys?

@kyria-crosszeria yea in the comics shes a full on alcoholic after the death of her husband, to the point that she hits Kinsey one time, but the way it's being handled in the show seems lazy and sloppy like the writers wanted to skip much of the character development and get to the keys asap while padding the run-time with teen romance drama nonsense.
I love how the quality of their roleplay and settings has gone up so much. It really helps sucking you in. I was glued to my chair and the screen for most of this. Truly enjoyable.

@kyria-crosszeria I wish I liked the setting more as I'm not a fan of zombie stuff. However, that takes nothing away from the great acting, amazing set, and what I must admit is much better storytelling by Mr. Foster that I anticipated. He immediately jumped into my Top 5 along with Mercer, Perkins, Colville, and Hulmes.
