With some anticipation I looked to Apples new programme list and this one stood out. An alternate history where the Russians made it to the moon first. The knock on effect is fascinating affecting politics, equal rights and family dynamics.
From the team that brought Battlestar to the screen it has been made with a realism that makes it accessible and possible.
Well cast and characters fleshed out to a point that you care about all of them. Really please to see where this goes in the future and hope Apple keeps supporting projects like this.
I'm not ready to pass any judgement on this one...yet, but there's one thing that annoys me to no end with the first couple of episodes. The behavior of this “FBI team” is atrocious. The arrogance is just freaking unbelievable. I really hope, for international law enforcement cooperations sake, that this is just awful writing, and not even just a little like how these teams work in real life. I get that this is fiction, but if I was on one of these teams in real life, I would be really pissed...that's for sure.
A stupidly addictive show. I don't even watch television, so naturally I hold a strong disdain for reality shows. This one came at me like a sucker punch. It captures genuine and mundane moments between people, from intimate conversations to cooking meals together. It's well-edited and well-paced, occasionally interrupted with fun commentary by a panel of comedians. Ironically, for a show without a script, it has it's share of "character development" and twists. All Hail Yuto Handa.
When you look at the plot you think that it'll be pretty boring but it's actually quite captivating! The acting is good, the plot is much better than you think and Idris Elba, I mean you can't do a lot wrong when it comes to his acting.
UPDATE: After watching all the episodes I would say it's a decent one-time watch but I don't see myself ever wanting to revisit this again. What captivates you is the way in how everyone does "their thing" but that's only good one time, after that there's nothing more to surprise you.
I still feel the acting is well done but it does get a bit predictable and unbelievable the further into the show you get.
Total disappointment! I am just watching it real quick to follow up if it has something to do with the "FBI' and "FBI: Most Wanted".
Otherwise its a waste of time!
Story, acting, characters, "oh here comes the FBI and does everywhere anything they want at a foreign land", really!?
The show is as wrong as it gets!
Amazing Amazing Acting across the board. The plot and characters is so moving and powerful that it reminds me of The Wire. James and Maggie were Fantastic.. there best work ever. Definitely needs more following.
Can't wait for the next season.
more please, I am totally in for this!
to put it short and simple, I'd give it 15 out of 10 if I could
Completely raised the bar for video game adaptations. It's definitely the gold standard from here on out.
Situations are too forced, acting over the top, jokes are not funny. Too awkward.
Much better than expected. It felt like they didn't quite know what it should be. Should it be taken seriously or not? Should it be drama or comedy or a mix of the two? Could have been real good if they had figured that out. I really liked the idea and the setting a lot. That carried the show. If you don't like the setting/idea you shouldn't watch it. It doesnt has mucch to offer aside from that but it has short episodes so you can give a try.
I knew we'd be having an experience and it did deliver! The cinematography or the camera work looks fantastic, it looks like you are actually watching from a film. The "production design" looks gorgeous, you can see how each place has its own characteristics. The pacing was just enough for the story to tell itself.
In the span of three episodes, they deliver wonderful worldbuilding for a person who knows nothing of the lore. Characters act naturally to their personality and attitude. You'd begin loving them with their development. You also sympathize with why certain characters reacted or did in the show. You'd feel bad to them and hope they wished for the best but fate turned them for the worst. Damn it, I can't wait for next week and the next next week.
Although, as much as I loved the third episode (the ending also broke me), there were some rushed moments and it could have added a few more seconds, but holy moly the battle choreography was a spectacle to watch. Hoping to see more on the upcoming six episodes!
Season 4 please!
I shouldn't have watched the entire season in one day but I regret nothing
Trakt doesn't allow emojis in comments, but If it were, my comment would be somerhing like: The soundtrack in this show is fire emoji fire emoji fire emoji.
The trailer massively undersold this show. It's not a crappy rom com. It's a female led story with some great prospects. I'm excited for it to begin.
Finished binge watching the series and wow, what a great series it was! Very true to the original tone of the comics with some great references to the MCU and Netflix Daredevil series. Can't wait to see more of Jess in the Defenders show and hopefully in future upcoming Marvel Netflix series!
The thing about Girls is that you shouldn't come to it expecting to laugh out loud. It's raunchy, there's awkward nudity, and some pseudo-funny moments, but most of all there's a strong realism in the scripting, acting and directing that almost makes it feel like a reality show. Basically, it's not comedy, it's not drama, it's not bad, it's not good. It's just mediocre reality. And that is why I stopped watching at the end of season 1.
liked it from the first scene and got better with every episode
liked it from the first scene and got better with every episode
is pretty bad for a new tv series
holy cow I love this show!
If you like Archer, you will LOVE BoJack! :)
If you are looking for a great show to watch with your kids, this is one to check out. You can never go wrong with a show that features a image of "Bat Boy" in the opening credits.
Interesting new start. Stargate fans should like this.
Where is season two, I am Jonesing!!!!
Well after seven episodes the show still is very weak. Bad acting, script errors, cheesy dialog. I was expecting so much of this show but a big let down so far. But i have to agree V was much worse.
Cant wait this show is gonna be BIG!
It's generally a fun show but I don't think it depict bdsm pretty well. There's several moments where the consent of some characters was totally overlooked :(
An excellent comedy. With the end of Parks and Rec, this and Brooklyn Nine-Nine are my favourite comedies on TV right now.
