Definitely just another one of the many "assemble the harem" kind of isekai animes. There are some interesting powers and it there some interesting ideas with gaining power from eating monster meat (kinda surprised they haven't made a ton of sex jokes about that yet tbh).
Anyways, expect a lot of ecchi and raunchy moments, probably not the best Anime to watch at work or with your mom. You can also expect the typical harem shenanigans and the weakling guy to suddenly become the most overpowered character pretty much in the duration of the first episode. But hey, it sure kept the weak storyline rolling fast.
Damn this show really hits me in the feels. Do not watch this unless you want to see the very things you love ripped away from your trembling fingers. The natural cycle of human life is both so immensely sad and wonderful at the same time. I do wonder though, why is naivety so easily lovable when it comes to people? I look forward to seeing what else they can do with this show.
It was an overall great anime romance. The graphics were gorgeous and the music was perfect. The characters were all interesting, although a bit cliche in their design. They definitely could’ve provided some more character development and a greater variety of characters, but it wouldn’t be a true romance unless they didn’t focus on the growth of two individuals anyways.
While the story wasn’t the most original and innovative, it was cute and kept me entertained all the way through. I would highly recommend this to those who just want a little bit of an emotional rollercoaster but don’t mind the cliché.

The graphics for this Anime are typical of a 2000s Anime, but the story and the character development are really where this Anime takes the cake. I’ve always been a sucker for Tsundere character development, and Aoba Tsukishima has just reached one of the top spots. I couldn’t imagine a better story arc with it’s complex relationships and progression over time. Man this Anime really takes you for a ride. It’s probably less of a Sports Anime, and more along the lines of RomCom / Slice of Life — but without the cheesy Shoujo romance stuff. Highly recommended.
Okay, I have to concur here. That was an absolutely beautiful ending to this series. And man am I a sucker for these perfect Tsundere arcs.
It was completely just recap of pretty much all the bits and pieces of Wakaba that they slowly added through the series so far. Yet somehow it was still a pretty strong emotional episode.
Damn, way to hit you hard right out of the gate.
First off, I really can't ignore the power of the graphics. They are absolutely marvelous and I can tell how much effort Kyoto Animation puts into every detail.
It does have a somewhat laid back start where it feels as if the story is going nowhere, but I recommend you stick through the series at least until episode 5 where the first mystery that arches over multiple episodes wraps up. At that point, you'll have a good idea whether this slice of life, but really a mystery drama, Anime suits your tastes.
As for me, I quite enjoyed it. I took it slowly compared to others that I rush and binge through, but it was still enjoyable regardless.

I honestly can't even make heads or tails of this film. It was really good to watch, especially for such an old Anime film. I don't even know what is going on with all this psychological trauma after watching this. Apparently I need to go find a therapist somewhere to explain what the hell just happened to my psyche.
This is a really strong Anime with an emphasis on character development that many other (even much more recent) Anime cannot fathom the depth. The show is very bluntly about child abuse, unrealistic pressures, fear of failure, and most importantly, suicidal thoughts and heavy depression. Many have said that the writer/director was heavily depressed while working on the series, and that the show stems from his experiences. You can truly feel the pain and the self-loathing through the repetition of phrases like 'I hate everything' and 'I hate myself.' You can't always hear when someone else is suffering, but this Anime makes their feelings heard.
The series is quite chaotic, but it was still an excellent work of art that really tried to put something special out there for the world to understand. It tried to convey some of the deepest of most complex human emotions, and that is an especially difficult task.
The psychological ending (ep 25-26) was filled with primarily dialogue and it was quite tough to get through, however, it did make a lot of sense for the characters and was important for the coming of age and self-realizations the characters needed to have. But it was just portrayed in such a low-budget way that made it hard to enjoy, even with the context of the 1990s graphics.
For those watching on Netflix, I would recommend watching the series (the episodes on Netflix are the Director's Cuts with extra important bits on the last 4 episodes). Then watch The End of Evangelion afterwards. Personally, I think of EoE as a sort of alternate ending, so be prepared for a very different style of ending than presented in the original series. But still a very important contrasting perspective that accents the series quite nicely.
In case it wasn't already obvious, this episode is fully recap except for about 2 minutes worth of content, which you don't actually need to see.
Not a bad start honestly. Put a lot of things in motion and there are some interesting characters so far.
It started off as a somewhat interesting concept. But then I quickly found out why Rimuru is considered the "most likeable protagonist" by so many people. Quite frankly, Rimuru is so incredibly overpowered throughout the series that he cannot possibly lose and that creates zero tension in any of the fights. Secondly, the character will make friends with literally anything he sees. And is probably the most uninteresting and supposedly "perfect" character that I've seen. Rimuru is so "likeable" to the point that it makes me hate the character. With a mundane backstory and not a single flaw or conflicting emotion, watching Rimuru make "choices" is the equivalent of watching paint dry -- it's incredibly obvious what the outcome is.
The show had (emphasis on had) a couple of redeeming qualities. They introduced a character with a level of moderate depth and intrigue. If this show was literally just about the life of Shizue then I might have found some enjoyment from her expoits. But then of course, they had to kill off the most interesting character in the attempt to make Rimuru appear with some amount of emotional depth.
But this is all really just regarding the first arc of the first season, in the second arc, they completely sidetrack the entire story to go on a quest to save some orphans -- because that's the right thing to do?
Really, the animation is alright and there sure a lot of "cute anime girls" with enough fan service to distract the average viewer from the lack of substantial plot.
But alas, I am still going to waste my time by watching season 2 because apparently, people have said that it got more interesting.
This is unironically one of the absolute best episodes of the season, the fights scenes were good and there wasn't as much blatant "I'm too OP" immediate victory. Too bad this series wasn't completely centered on Shion's travels and the foes she encountered. Her entire storyline is far better than anything presented by the main protagonist.

Really great Shounen Anime. Honestly this series practically defines how the Shounen should feel in terms of crazy shenanigans and emphasized action. With a neat little story woven throughout, Gurren Lagann was quite entertaining.
This felt like a really solid Isekai Anime! There was quite a bit of the standard pervy-tropes, but the scenes in this one felt more comical than some of the others I've seen that dove headfirst into Harem-land. (Although I am slightly concerned for the fact that there are clear romances between children here. The only defense I can think of is that age seems to be very different from appearances and that age/mental maturity isn't standard either.)
The fantasy world building here is quite fantastic and the characters you meet have distinct personalities and stories to them. The animation quality is decent enough, and the music is thematic. Overall, I'm excited to see where this one goes.
All I gotta say is: "Money can't buy waifus!"
Some might call it the obligatory "bikini episode", but actually this episode was filled with all the same great stuff as other Hyouka episodes!
Actually this was quite good. It had a very typical ecchi and harem start in the first 6 episodes, but then it actually pulled some solid character and relationship development. And instead of giving into the harem, the main character actually focuses on one relationship. Of course, they introduce new side-chicks almost every episode, but there were some interesting stories mixed in. There wasn't nearly as much sex appeal as you would imagine, honestly there was more nudity in mainstream Anime like Food Wars than in this. Some of the animation also was kind of like a watered-down version of Demonslayer swordplay, which is saying a lot since thats an incredibly high standard to live up to.
This was just a solidly entertaining Anime to watch, I zoomed right through the episodes and I kinda wish there was a second season to at least finish the tournament.

This movie felt that weakest of all three in the trilogy, most certainly because it exists as primarily setup and new characters are thrown at you left and right. But despite that, I wholeheartedly recommend anyone who has seen 1 or both of the other Fate/Stay Night routes watch this trilogy. The animation quality throughout is incredibly pristine with strong music in pair. Not to mention, they did an incredible job with both emphasizing the story and giving us the incredible, explosive fights of immense magical power.
Truly, watch every last minute and enjoy the experience.
Another superb film. The action was some ufotables best work and the animation was overall just incredible to watch. Not to mention the story and the twisting plot lines of motivation and long made plans was incredibly well done. Some things aren't made perfectly clear to those more unfamiliar with over-arching story (since its quite complex), but most everything was implied or briefly hinted at, making the movie incredibly faithful to the story and the complexities of the world that contains it. I'd highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who has watched Fate stay night. This trilogy truly brings the story into a living piece of artwork.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the first Heaven's Feel movie (likely because it feels slow to someone already familiar with all the setup). But wow these movie took the challenge and went absolutely marvelous! There was so much detail and incredible action scenes and the story went into such depth about each character's motivations, and I could just go on and on about every little facet of this movie felt incredible. And yes it got very dark, very quickly. If you suffer from PTSD on the subject of sexual abuse, you have been warned.
Overall, such an incredibly powerful film, I'm so glad that I got into the Fate/Stay Night series. ufotable has done a praise-worthy job of bringing this story to film.
This was actually a spectacular anime! It was crazy fun to watch and each episode was pretty much watch at your own pace. If you love Shoujo anime, then maybe you will watch this and reconsider that. It pokes all sorts of fun at the genre as a whole following every over-used Shoujo plot line and then bursting the bubble. It was also really cool to take a quick peek at some manga creation. This was just a really well done rom-com and I wish there were more than 12 episodes.
The movie story kept truly in line with the save a princess, kill a dragon fantasy. It was definitely more aimed towards children (at least it should be given the level of depth it provided) so keep that in mind. It was a nice lighthearted fantasy with a neat twist at the very end. It doesn't hold up particularly well to the stronger anime movies, but if I imagine this movie was produced in the early 2000s, I could see it as a movie that many children might watch.
Another 90% filler/recap episode. The only new content occurs in the last 6 minutes. This is really starting to get annoying when 20% of this show is recap.
There were a lot of great moments that really made you go from loathing the existence of humanity to cheering on the good people of the world. But between all of these great episodes there was some strangeness and unreasonably slow pacing.
The second season definitely surpassed the first one on all regards though. I’d still give this show a strong recommendation and I absolutely loved the entire Kawamoto family throughout the entire series. They were the most heartwarming bunch of characters around.
