VIP8I really hated this movie, the characters were poorly constructed, especially the male characters. All of them manipulate Elle throughout the whole movie, telling her what to do and pushing her around when it suit them.
The worst part for me though was how lightly they treated Noah’s violent side. Lee wondering if he had hit Elle was incredibly painful to watch, and when he slams the car to make her come inside she really does seem frightened. He is a violent character that doesn’t change at all, just says a few nice words at the end to “make up for everything”. Lee gets some sort of redemption by helping Elle, but Noah doesn’t, and I don’t think that’s the message we want kids to get from movies like this one, that your boyfriend loves you because he gets into fights “for you” or that he manipulating you and other people around you is something sweet and a proof of how much he cares about you. That’s wrong, and this movie take on that is completely horrible and misleading.loading replies
@sandrac13 I really hated how they tried to make the "He gets into a fight for me" thing seem romantic and caring. Truth is, when a person is violent with others, they will eventually turn their violence to the ones they love, if they do not get it checked.

VIP8I'm still annoyed at Otis's behavior throughout the season, but his voicemail to Maeve was actually really sweet and what Isaac did at the end was a total dick move. Tbh given that Netflix has been canceling their shows left and right, the producers are putting a lot of faith in them with that cliffhanger ending. Nothing has really been resolved in a satisfying way, so if we don't get a season 3 it's gonna be awfully disappointing.
Also, Maeve's mom is literally the worst ever. Fuck her. I'll miss seeing Maeve with Elsie too, they had such a cute relationship.loading replies
@kcallis Agree to disagree. If you're a hardcore drug addict like Erin, there is no "safe" or "harmless" amount of drugs you can take. Well, okay, there is, and that amount is 0. If you relapse, you relapse, end of story, regardless of the kind of drug you took. Weed in the wrong hands is just as capable of destroying lives as cocaine. And judging by the fact that she had some left, it wasn't a one time thing. She would've got high again. Otherwise she would've thrown the drugs away. Maeve did what she thought was best for her little sister. She didn't report Erin to the police for drug possession, she just wanted to protect the child that was in Erin's care. Erin telling Maeve that she'll never forgive her was pure shithead behavior. Maeve forgave her for YEARS of neglect and trauma, but Erin thinks she has some moral high ground here? What was Maeve supposed to do, ignore the whole thing and risk Erin falling back into full blown addiction which would inevitably result in her abandoning or endangering her kid? Or risk Elsie finding Erin's stash and possibly getting poisoned? Nah. Fuck Erin. She's a deeply selfish and irresponsible person. She broke her sobriety and tried to hide it. If she'd truly wanted to change, she would've confessed. But she didn't say anything to anyone, not to Maeve, not to her sponsor, not to anybody. She hid it and lied about it which is what drug users do when they fall back into the clutches of addiction. She was on her way back to Junkieville. AND on top of that she treated Maeve horribly. Her 17-year-old daughter is 10,000 times more responsible than she is. But you're obviously entitled to your opinion.
Iris cares so much about Barry. Yet she’s off doing feminism stuff. When he is stuck in a dream state ? Plus if Barry is vanishing soon. Shouldn’t Iris be pregnant with Nora ?

@jim222001 She could be pregnant already without her even knowing it... just because they haven't mentioned it yet or Iris doesn't know it yet doesn't mean it is already happening. However, I do agree that Iris is off doing less important stuff than being with her man two days before he is going to die.
I was going to watch this episode until I realized that it is a two part episode, now I guess I will hold off until either closer to next week's episode or until I get next week's and watch them back to back. I'll do the same with the week after when we get the huge 5 show crossover!! :yum::grin:

@thenightwolf You'll only be able to watch episodes 1, 2, and 3 of 'Crisis' in December. I'm afraid you'll have to wait until mid-January for 4 and 5...
This season has 19 episodes, not 13... That's a lot of episodes to be missing.

@chanzilla If you're using Netflix this would be why you're confused. Netflix lists "specials" as being part of normal seasons, and the episodes are in the order they were broadcast, but they are actually Specials.

@chanzilla It has not. The other Episodes are Specials and you find them there.

@cacione It's a reference to the Dark Knight Returns where the earth sacrificed a rain forest to keep Superman alive. But instead of overwrought poetry we have Alex begging Kara to "take the grass!"
