VIP8I'm still annoyed at Otis's behavior throughout the season, but his voicemail to Maeve was actually really sweet and what Isaac did at the end was a total dick move. Tbh given that Netflix has been canceling their shows left and right, the producers are putting a lot of faith in them with that cliffhanger ending. Nothing has really been resolved in a satisfying way, so if we don't get a season 3 it's gonna be awfully disappointing.
Also, Maeve's mom is literally the worst ever. Fuck her. I'll miss seeing Maeve with Elsie too, they had such a cute relationship.loading replies
@kcallis Agree to disagree. If you're a hardcore drug addict like Erin, there is no "safe" or "harmless" amount of drugs you can take. Well, okay, there is, and that amount is 0. If you relapse, you relapse, end of story, regardless of the kind of drug you took. Weed in the wrong hands is just as capable of destroying lives as cocaine. And judging by the fact that she had some left, it wasn't a one time thing. She would've got high again. Otherwise she would've thrown the drugs away. Maeve did what she thought was best for her little sister. She didn't report Erin to the police for drug possession, she just wanted to protect the child that was in Erin's care. Erin telling Maeve that she'll never forgive her was pure shithead behavior. Maeve forgave her for YEARS of neglect and trauma, but Erin thinks she has some moral high ground here? What was Maeve supposed to do, ignore the whole thing and risk Erin falling back into full blown addiction which would inevitably result in her abandoning or endangering her kid? Or risk Elsie finding Erin's stash and possibly getting poisoned? Nah. Fuck Erin. She's a deeply selfish and irresponsible person. She broke her sobriety and tried to hide it. If she'd truly wanted to change, she would've confessed. But she didn't say anything to anyone, not to Maeve, not to her sponsor, not to anybody. She hid it and lied about it which is what drug users do when they fall back into the clutches of addiction. She was on her way back to Junkieville. AND on top of that she treated Maeve horribly. Her 17-year-old daughter is 10,000 times more responsible than she is. But you're obviously entitled to your opinion.
Too many subtitles. Drags the show down. Stick to one fucking language.

Well that was a complete waste of time. Nothing happens after episode 5. They should’ve ended the season at episode 5

Book 1 actually ends when episode 5 ends. "You Are Bugs".
Episodes 6 and 7 the directors completely made up. Episode 8 pulls a bit from the beginning of Book 2, but it worked much better as an into to what comes next, than the closure to a season.
I'm pretty disappointed with this adaptation. The pacing is disjointed, and the original material they wrote is so much worse than the source material.
Anyway, that's my long-winded answer to why the show sucked after episode 5.
Review by PrisonMike
THIS SHOW NEEDS TO BE CANCELLED AND THEN REBOOTED WITH A PROPER WRITER, DIRECTOR, AND NEW CAST.
THE BEST PART OF THE HALO SHOW IS THE OPENING CREDITS........................................
I've had bowel movements I considered to be more enjoyable then watching this show.
Kwan's story continues to bore. The old lady or prophet or whatever the fuck she is, is just weird and not on par with Halo at all.
Why do they show the spartan 3's faces inside the helmet? Its the most odd perspective ever. The cinematography is terrible.
At least Master Chief was actually in his suit for once....
90% of the actors on this show are complete trash. The story is complete trash. If you ever played the game and loved it, stay completely away from this trash.
Why does Miranda always have this dumbfounded look on her face? Useless character
I enjoyed the last episode of game of thrones more than any of these halo episodes if that says anything. And... the last episode of GoT was complete fucking trash.
I'd rather listen to nails on a chalkboard then to have to be subjected to any more of this story. I'm only watching at this point as I am this fucking far in... I wish there would have been comments like mine here, warning me about this travesty of a show.
The spartan 3's make me grow a big rubbery one... Wish they would just focus on Master Chief. I mean, I know everyone plays the Halo game for all the other characters except Master Chief...... said no one.
I still can't stand SGT PEREZ. She is a horrible actress. She overacts on everything and she always has this dumbass look on her face.
Getting covid 19 is more enjoyable then watching this trash.
Fuck this show, if it gets renewed for a third season, I will have no absolutely no faith left in Hollywood. AGAIN, REBOOT IT AND START FRESH!

@mediacenterkodi then stop watching it. It's not the video game, so stop treating it like it is.
Knew she was alive . Took them so long to reveal it.

I know it was obvious but maybe tick the spoiler box for other people.
Someone move this episode to special instead of season 1

@allyssonsouzam sadly, it's not actually a special. Netflix has actually released it as the eleventh episode in season 1. It's a pain in the ass.

@allyssonsouzam Netflix says it's the 11th episode of season 1 and they are the official datasource for the show. Won't change unless Netflix changes their mind.
What is even going on with this season? Is it bad that I'm not even sad about Cisco leaving? what does that say about me as a fan this many seasons deep and the direction this show is heading? Guess better not think about it or I'll be depressed.

@fandomgirl08 this season has just been a sh*t show where things have just kinda been happening with little build up, explanation or payoff and then they move onto the next thing. I didn't feel anything about Cisco leaving when I really should have. In fact, I haven't felt anything at all at this season other than feeling like most of the storyline for it has been really really stupid.
Ah yes, the old suck sunlight out plants trick.

@cacione It's a reference to the Dark Knight Returns where the earth sacrificed a rain forest to keep Superman alive. But instead of overwrought poetry we have Alex begging Kara to "take the grass!"
Just let me get two things out of the way I think were weak storytelling.
First, putting the drive on the hub was the stupidest thing to do as it could only lead to her getting caught. It also was illogical as it was clear that they would just override it and/or claim it as false. Granted she didn't know about the Janitor room but she knew there was surveilance everywhere and because of that might reach the conclusion that all those feeds had to be watched somewhere. But the story needs to go on so I'll take it.
Second, its hard to believe that they didn't inspect the stuff they brought to Juliette or they would have found the note. Even not knowing what it meant they would not have let it through. Plus, from a storyelling point of view it was giving too much away. Would have been better to not show it. Instead they could insert a scene when Juliette is about to break down to explain that she didn't die. And speaking of dying, Where are all the others that went out? Does someone actually go out to collect the bodies ?
Now, for the big reveal at the end I have to say I didn't see that coming. After making us believe (and I did) that it is safe outside, not only do we learn it is not, but there are literally dozens of silos out there. Does that mean the whole of mankind lives underground ? My guess is that each one thinks they are the only one and each one does have someone taking care that it stays like that. But we still don't have an idea about why ?
There is one thing I noticed that I want to point out. When Juliette told Holland about the door below he seem genuinely surprised. As if he didn't knew. That was the moment he ended the conversation. Just saying.
So, I don't know the books but from reading elsewhere I understand we barely scratched the surface of the story. I wonder how slow they will go with this one. The second season is already confirmed but thre is always the chance of not getting a third, or forth, or however many they need to play this out.
I sure hope we're not getting left hanging in the air atsome point.

@misnomer OK, I see your point concerning the bodies. That could be an explanation. But I don't think I saw any bodies in the final overview shot. Need to go back to check that.
For sure something about the tape is different. Remember what Walker said ? That the tape has to be special or why make such a fuzz over the theft ? And I'm sure she switched it.
The door below leading to the other Silos is an intruiging thought It would give sense to Hollands reaction when Julitte told him about it. That's a good point.
Should be interesting to see how this goes on.
Thanks for the reply.

@thebabayaga Yep. The hollow earth being where all the cool stuff (which is expensive to show) is, I predicted this would be a flashback episode with maybe five minutes of hollow earth content. I also predicted her reveal would be the final shot of the episode.
Iris cares so much about Barry. Yet she’s off doing feminism stuff. When he is stuck in a dream state ? Plus if Barry is vanishing soon. Shouldn’t Iris be pregnant with Nora ?
loading replies
@jim222001 She could be pregnant already without her even knowing it... just because they haven't mentioned it yet or Iris doesn't know it yet doesn't mean it is already happening. However, I do agree that Iris is off doing less important stuff than being with her man two days before he is going to die.

Well, so they'd clean the lens of course. A simple and cheap trick so nobody unpunished has to go outside to do so...loading replies
@nephatiu I'd say it's bigger than that because we're told from the start that everyone that says they won't clean still end up cleaning. The trick makes it seem that they repented, which reinforces to everyone else that they should fall in line.
Imogen's change of heart regarding the New Dawn is a mystery. Of course that dialogue could have been an act with the love-making scenes ultimate, "Louder, so they hear", as a closing parentheses.

@van-nyx I shall watch it again before next week, as a refresher. I like the cast, and the world-building, but there is the odd plotting weirdness, and goofs. I suppose with better editing these could be removed.
I was going to watch this episode until I realized that it is a two part episode, now I guess I will hold off until either closer to next week's episode or until I get next week's and watch them back to back. I'll do the same with the week after when we get the huge 5 show crossover!! :yum::grin:

@thenightwolf You'll only be able to watch episodes 1, 2, and 3 of 'Crisis' in December. I'm afraid you'll have to wait until mid-January for 4 and 5...
