This wasn't a very strong first episode, but I've been excited about this series since they started filming, so I'll stick around.
So far the portrayal of Thomas Seymour is making me uncomfortable. I hope they're not going to continue to romanticise him sexually preying on a child, but rather show him as the disgusting man he was. We'll see.
A propaganda film which shows that British and American capitalism was responsible for the disaster.
Heartbreaking, the worst person you know just made a great point.
Hannah has so much more chemistry with her female co-workers than with Ben. He is such an asshole.
Ben is still the same asshole he was the last time they dated, no surprise there.
I wish they had written something better during the three year long hiatus. So much unnecessary discord between Anne and Ann that felt like it had no purpose, and so much screen time dedicated to plot points that felt like they had no purpose in the end. But no matter how disappointed I may be, I will always appreciate this show for the lesbian representation it has.
They really had a great opportunity with this show to cast several disabled actors representing multiple communities. But sadly they chose not to.
So that's what Lovejoy got up to when he wasn't stalking Rose.
Am I supposed to sympathise with Tories?:joy::joy::joy:
I feel sorry for Mariana and the situation with her husband, but she's also an awful person that Anne should stay far away from for her own health.
I'm disappointed in the writers for going there, but I don't blame Anne. She did say no countless times, and Mariana basically forced her, if not physically, then psychologically.
Imagine feeling bad about scamming rich people.
I couldn't care less about Jack or the love story. This movie is about Rose's story, a woman overcoming it all: surviving an abusive parent, an abusive fiancé, and somehow surviving the Titanic.
If it wasn’t for that wifebeating rapist the director’s cut would be one of my favourite movies.
Poor Ann. I understand her behaviour can be frustrating to the audience, but it's understandable that she would act like she does when she has been psychologically abused and manipulated by her family all her life. You can have your own strong opinions, but when everyone tells you otherwise, it's difficult for someone with low self esteem to stand up for themselves.
If only men like that were a thing of the past.
Oh how I love Ann, she's so relatable :sob:
"There'll come a time...when tenants throw landlords off land." If only... still waiting for that almost a century later.
I remember Anne having major flaws, but I don't remember her being as unlikeable as she is in this episode. I'm also struggling to remember why I wanted her and Ann to be together. Maybe I should have rewatched the first season before beginning this one, it's been years after all.
It's pretty rare to find a decades old romance movie where the male lead isn't a total asshole.
I love this show so much and all the important stories they choose to tell. Alice:sob::sob::sob:
Good Trouble continues to prove that they're great at portraying that our problems and issues stay with us for a long time, and isn't just a plot that lasts for a few episodes.
Where was Malika, Alice, and Davia? This episode felt pretty empty without them, especially considering the recent loss of Callie.
LMAO, nice Girl, Interrupted references.
Rape is not entertainment. Disgusting.
Mera spin-off when? I need it.
Bria is my hero  I don't know if that was a flashforward or just Bria's imagination, but I'm sad to see Ian not get what he deserved.
Ugh. I was hoping every episode that things would turn around, that all the ableism would have a purpose, but no. I’m so tired of seeing female characters in media end up with the men that (ab)use them, or having them commit suicide because their health issues are a “burden” to those that are supposed to care about and support them. Yet another story from Netflix with an interesting outline, but with a poor resolution.
Damn, I thought Magnea was gonna use that hammer on Gísli :(
I hope Anna has a great life. Erica got what she deserved.
I have missed this show. It's hilarious.
Oh no, we know what a woman puking on TV means.
