Rose: They were probably looking for drugs.
Dorothy: We have Maalox and estrogen. Now how many junkies have gas and hot flashes?
Rose: I wonder why he looked you up after all this time?
Sophia: Are you kidding? He was crazy about me. I was the only girl in the village who didn't want to be a nun.
Rose: How is it possible to get pregnant in Sicily just by crossing the street?
Sophia: Cheap Chianti and Narrow streets.
I was waiting for it ... something had to happen. Tense.
I have to say that for most shows a final season is a wind down, nowhere near as good as those before it. This however is brilliant!
Sophia: If that's the doctor, tell him I have no insurance and no money. If he still wants to come in, he just wants to see me naked.
Who can be trusted... who is a double agent and what happened in Carrie's lost months?
Cracking storyline so far and absolutely an area of the world I simply don't want to visit!
Rose: Why would Virginia need a kidney?
Dorothy: To feed the cat, Rose!'
I am always in awe of Carrie; she can be away from the 'front lines' of her sphere of work for years... and still she fits right in like she's never been away.
Me, I take a weeks holiday and it at least takes a while to hit the ground running LOL
A slightly slow burning episode with the fuse lit towards the end - looking forward now to the rest of the season
Blanche: Most of the guys I dated in college were for the stories.
Dorothy: You must have more stories than O. Henry.
Absolutely stunning if very scary when you consider how these things were created and continue to manifest
Rose: Oh she's really upset, we better keep an eye on her.
Blanche: You're right. We better stick to her like a tight shirt on a sweaty farmhand.
Sophia: I never have that problem! Never! I sleep like a log! I never have to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I go in the morning. Every morning, like clockwork, at 7am - I pee. Unfortunately I don't wake up 'till 8.
Watching now, this movie remains fairly up to date although the futuristic ‘clans’ seem to have advanced technology coupled with outdated [1980’s] approaches which clash a little.
I have to feel sorry for the worms being used as battle machines and what kind of brother sends a little sister. Into the lions den like that !
Entertaining if confusing at times. Lock-in forward to seeing the new spin on this due shortly
Yep. A Hummingbird. It’s hovering.
Oh thank goodness there is no Season 3. I’m not even close to tempted.
A really enjoyable movie to very likely close out 2020 from my movie list.
Superb animation as always, superb thought and detail in the scenes. The star of the film... the cat! Love the cat - the poise and balance an overweight feline can have on a slim shoulder... wow
A poor wrap up really, no 'real' questions asked and the people interviewed were just as disingenuous as they were in the core series
The one truest sentence being that all of the people are in this for the very same reason and one reason only. Money.
Oh good grief... what a set-up here for the final episode. No real surprise; I just hope that this plot fails... and that we get to see a good ending.
Usually the gentle music and narration of this show really relaxes me. The content of this particular episode left me wide awake!! Scary beyond belief with all the disclosures on power :scream:
The best episode of the season to date. Dialogue is still lame in places and yes the approach of the 'special forces' lacks authenticity, but, entertainment wise it was the best. I had to give it 8/10 - it doesn't really deserve that but judging the episode against the poorer ones before it, it has to be an 8
What this show and season do illustrate very well is the very best and worst of humanity, side by side
On the edge of being too fringe for me.
Predictable story which didn't seem to explain anything, unless I missed it, about why the Earth was damaged and Billions had perished. perhaps I dozed off for that bit of the dialogue [sorry!]
Very scenic film with what is I guess a positive ending - already slow moving, but, it would have been nice to see that they made their second journey successfully; I guess that would have required a film the length of Cleopatra!
The family survived to face a new world.
These end of the world scenarios are all of a type, despite this there was some built in suspense here. Interest was largely held for the full runtime with a few silly moments thrown in; such as the desperate mother and sun hunt tent by tent....
On balance very entertaining.
When people are asked to sketch a naked man you always find the women tittering and the men trying to be aloof. [assumption they are all Heterosexual] Hilarious to watch.
Can It be believed what you are watching? Wow!
All I can say is the weird world of Joe Exotic and the ways in which people will gravitate to him for money and drugs.
Jamie was a great contestant to have back; seems to me a genuinely fun guy - always laughing. Society is too miserable, we need more of this!
Rosie was the rightful winner
:crab: what a great nemesis to face. Shame really that people weren’t sure what they were. Maybe the animation was a clearer depiction when set against the original
Bored with the a-typical fling with the hired help and the Duchess. The matter of Ireland has never been resolved and one might say the wearing of a shamrock dress probably didn't bring monarch closer to subject.
Cholera, now described as easily treatable and largely eliminated; such a shame to see Nancy written out in this way.
Could they make this movie today? “Watch this Beth, have you ever seen a Weeble snorkel?”
I love how damn easy it is for Billions to be stolen... moved... and then re-stolen. You have to wonder just how effective 2FA is? Maybe criminal types don’t use it :face_with_monocle:
