Okay, so umm... way too many unnecessary fighting and drama, way too many love triangles (teacher-headmaster-mom, Isa-Pablo-Nati's sis, Javi-Sofi-Raúl) and some pretty lame plot. There's just too much going on with literally everyone that the episode just jumped from one problem to another without showing us a solution. Sofi missed his dad's anniversary, the headmaster hooked up with that teacher after getting mad at Sofi that he got rejected by her mom, Gerry tried to visit the bullied kid twice now, Alex got broken up with... Too. Much. Going. On.
Also, wtf was up with Sofi at the party in the last episode? I was wondering if she'll get things straight in this part, but no, she literally acted as if she wasn't interested in neither of the guys - but at the same time, yes. I can accept that she went for that kiss with Javier because 1) she's been told to by the sicko, and 2) let's face it, they've had enough moments already to have a nice chemistry together. But. Hooking up with Raúl for fun? Even though they barely spoke 5 sentences before that? You can't say it was from those 3 sips of alcohol... I mean, okay, Raúl may have gotten interested in Sofi because she helped him out in like two situations, but where do Sofi's feelings come from? What about Javi who's been with her all this time? And what about that adult guy (if he is/was Sofi's boyfriend)?
I'm trying to keep these things in myself, but if there are these many and this often, then maybe it's not me being picky but the show's creators being sloppy with their job.
So far the episodes have been a bit meh for me. It was weird to see 10 strangers (for me) who were not so strangers (for each other and the judges) without any introduction whatsoever. I mean, yeah, this show is about make-up, but it's also a reality, so you know, either introduce the contestants properly (and make this more of a reality show) or not at all (and make this all about the process of make-up and the created looks).
This time we got to know a little more about the contestants, and that's what I would've preferred at the beginning. Maybe not (only) their two sides, but more general info about them.
I'd loved to see the full videos of the make-up challenges of Brandon&Tiff and Ellis&Nikki [edit: first wrote Belinda, whoops], those seemed fun! Also, some of the solo pieces of this episode were breathtaking too, especially Brandon's work.
This time I agreed with most or all that the judges said - I was torn to watch the series further because I know I'm not a professional, but I just saw a lot of things differently than them, and it bothered me.
Leigh calling himself a drama queen for a little breakdown broke my heart a bit. Like no, even if you're a straight guy (which he seemingly is, but if he's not, even then too), getting emotional, having anxiety or panicking isn't being a drama queen. That's just being human.
And I was so glad that it was him who stayed because, frankly, Paige was slowly getting on my nerves with her overconfidence paired up with a big amount of negligence put in her works.
OOOH, Yunhway, my teriyaki girl! Good job! She was really-really amazing and confident up there! Kim Seungmin and YunB's chemi and voice harmonization was already awesome, but when Yunhway, Olltii and Donutman came up too, it was pure perfection. Their voices went so well together, and Yunhway was really needed there to kinda balance out the 4 men('s tones). Not to mention their cute dress code and choreography... Aaah, it was incredible.
Obviously, I'm not happy for Olltii, but on the other hand, he was the "best choice" to eliminate since all the others did perfectly. I'm proud of him though for handling his elimination maturely. He's a good guy.
I had the exact same thought as Chillin Homie and some others - that Giri's beat doesn't suit him and his style at all. I was also like that with Young B [my bad for writing his name like YunB's for a few episodes ], but both of them did good.
It was obvious that Woodie and Seo Donghyun would do amazing, so I wasn't disappointed by what I heard.
Choi LB was a pleasant surprise for me. Since SMTM didn't really show him so far, I didn't know what to expect, but his tone, lyrics and delivery were all wonderful.
Idek if Kingchi Mane's elimination was fair or not, but I suspect that him being already blurred out since like 1-2 episodes must have weighed in the decision-making.
Bully hugging EK is the most "aawh" moment since a long time! :3
Lil Tachi, dayum! I'm so proud!
Ooh, I can only say the same from Bryn as I mentioned for Yunhway: her voice balances out the boys (especially EK's, since I basically only heard him with Bryn) so well! And OOH, her verse was damn good!
Aw yeah, Bully killed it!
Aaand they eliminated him. Even though he did his fckin' tight rap perfectly. I think the producers didn't take it to consideration that Takuwa's voice is awfully high (for me, at least, but Swings emphasized it too). And not the enjoyable high voice, it's the annoying one.
My gaaaawd, 'Nello! Can't not love his aggressive rap!
BUT DAMN (or should I say BAMN?), THEY WERE ALL AMAZING!! At first I wasn't sure how would these people go well individually, but the producers showed again that they have a keen eye for this. I'm just... wow. All and every one of them did incredibly well. As individuals and as a team. The order was well though-out too, I really agree with having Punchnello first, Dbo second and Mckdaddy last. The only problem is that there's an elimination...
Oooh, the beat that YoungB and YSW chose was reeeeeally awesome! YSW's verse wasn't bad, but YoungB's voice and rap just clicked with the song too well. Though I disliked how much "huh"-s did YoungB say, it was pretty annoying after 8 times in a row at the end of every line... [Lol, I'm glad that Nafla thought the same too xD also, his adorable laugh after BewhY's joke was too much to handle ]
Haha, NaughtymaEK's hook :D
Awww, Millic and Crush's long hug! So cute.
Ehh, 40 Crew shouldn't have brought two featuring artists... Don't get me wrong, I love pH-1 and Yumdda's hook was amazing, but still, it should've been a song with only the 4 producers. (Haha, Olltii saying "okay!" in response to Mad Clown's line! :'D)
BGM-v's beat was kinda good, the message or idea was creative (especially VJ's, oof), but overall it didn't color me that impressed... Probably because I don't really like Giri's voice and BewhY's robotic rap gets annoying fast to listen to too, but still.
Oh, I wouldn't have imagined that it would be Jjangyou who'll lead their team in choosing songs. :D And he was so cute encouraging people to try themselves on the beats and complimenting them! He reminds me of a light version of LooFla or Superbee last season. Ah, it makes me wanna watch that part again, they were of so much help and guidance for their team!
I may have been a little too excited seeing Loopy and The Quiett as guest judges...:sweat_smile:
Ohhooo, Kim Seungmin! So glad he was revived, his voice itself is music to my ears! He killed that (likewise amazing) beat so hard, damn!
Hahaha, Woodie's part was awesome! xD Also liked how between all the stiffness in the other team, EK in the middle was the only one dancing along like a proud child. :'D Yunhway was good too, but she didn't do much rapping...
Aw, Chillin Homie's mistake was really unfortunate... He was so much more powerful than Bully.
I agree with VJ about Olltii. I wanted to mention it too, since his MC-ing was pro, haha. Maybe that's thanks to his show(? idk, I just looked into a few episodes of his freestyling chilling videos), but his "voice-over" tone alone is gold too.
Boiii, Donutman! I'm so glad he could rap his lyrics flawlessly - it would've been an incredible shame if he'd messed up these fire lines. So proud of him.
Lool, Jjangyou's featuring in Choi LB's part! xD
Oooh, 'Nello did great! That beat was puke, but he made it actually listenable with his rap.
Olltii was good, but Mckdaddy was ON FIRE. That beat really suited his verse.
For me, YoungB was lacking this round. It seemed that he either went off-beat or just his lines didn't match with the beat that well. EK was real good tho. Also, notice how no one dared to tease or step over the line when EK was rapping, lol. Even YoungB backed off of swinging his d*ck around. xD
This part of my comment will be reacting a bit to the last few episodes too. I've read the previous episode's comments disliking Ryo and saying that Hana deserves better. I wanted to say my opinion about this real quick.
I think Ryo is a great human, but it's clear that he has adapted the westerner mindset, so he may fall for a woman who's either a westerner or had adapted that mindset too. Plus, even if it wasn't like this, we can't choose who we feel attracted to. If Hana isn't what Ryo would describe as a romantic interest, she isn't, period. That doesn't make Ryo a trash human being.
What kinda makes him trash a little bit for me is that he's almost leading Hana on with compliments - even though it must be obvious for him, too, that she's head-over-heels for him. It may be his personality, sure (I've had the same experience with several guys who kept saying and doing flattering things but apparently they didn't see me romantically), but come on... he's an adult, he seems intelligent enough to know when should he stop the polite flattery(?) towards a girl he doesn't like.
That's why it's hard to see Hana not giving up, even though it's obvious that even if she confesses (once more), that won't change Ryo's feelings for her. At least not positively.
Also, I wanted to fangirl about Tupas earlier, but didn't want to write a comment just about him (and Kai's amazing voice)... xD I like his style, and even though his mannerisms must be way too official (I don't speak Japanese, but I bet the translations don't cover the super polite parts fully), respect is a big factor for me in a relationship, so I'd probably be drawn to him even more. He also has his way with subtle compliments and flattering - which, again, would sweep me off my feet after a short period of time.
Vivi gave an almost perfect motivational speech for Tupas, but I kinda have to agree with Tupas on one thing. Your family background and surroundings shape how you see and give love to others (between other things). It's not "victim behaviour" to think that because that's the truth. A child who receives love, praise and affection from their parents is definitely gonna behave differently than a child who's been ignored, neglected and scolded a lot.
But Vivi is right in the sense that you can't live your life blaming everything on these circumstances in the long run. You can move out of where you live, you can change schools, jobs, partners, friends... Sure, you won't be able to change your past, but you can overcome it, learn from it and do better in the future.
Ruka's drawings... Just no. xD
Emi showed the side of her that I got the vibe of during her introduction to the show. It seems she has her eyes on Shohei (though I can't recall them being together or even talking to each other at all), so she may have some rivalry with Kaori.
And if I'm talking about her... KAORI, MY BABY! I'm so glad she sat down and talked with Shohei about their feelings and misunderstandings. I'm eerily similar to Kaori when it comes to emotional stuff, so I totally get why she would be upset hearing Haruka saying that she isn't always sure if Kaori's kind words are honest or if she's just trying to not stir up anything. If Kaori's exactly like me, she won't lie and change her honest (bad) opinion to a good one just to avoid conflict with a person. She might tell some white lies to not hurt people's feelings, but I think sometimes that's better than a brutally honest negative statement.
So yeah, I get Kaori's feelings but I also get the other side because she definitely is holding back her real feelings and real opinions quite a lot. That's why I'm glad that Shohei talked to her and told her how it is (mis)interpreted from the outside. I can see why Kaori likes him - my type would be close to Shohei too; someone who is confident in themselves and says their honest opinion (mostly) without hurting feelings. I'm really curious how will their relationship grow.
Yet another Thai series that promotes (drug) abuse, yaaay  (I dropped this series right at this scene because that plot and basically everything else was the usual Thai shit, but I saw a fanmade video of the pair, so here I am forcing myself to bear yet another idiotic storyline for the sake of some BL content.)
Am I blind or are Sarawat's friends two guys from SOTUS? At least one of them is, I'm sure about him! Long time no see!
I'd be dreading to be a student in Thailand, lol. This guy apparently has no Facebook, no IG, no Line, but people still record his interactions and post them along with his (fake) schedule on social media. Like dude, that's fucked up.
"Keep looking at me like that... and I will kiss [you] 'til you drop." - Umm... Who tf says that to a stranger that just called them an asshole? Especially if both of them are guys and (now) both of them are straight?
Aand of course Sarawat will write things on the stupid MC's Facebook wall that's totally not suitable with his character.
The only thing I'm digging so far is Mr. Asshole's acting (well, more of his poker face).
Love how at the beginning, when the contestants were in a waiting room, the first row's left side had YunB, Sway D and Dbo in it, and right side consisted of Punchnello, Donutman, Zene, Woodie and EK. :D If it wasn't the filming crew telling them where to sit (which I don't think it was), it's really interesting how the better rappers (and the ones who're here not for the first time) gathered front.
Aww, my heart when Millic (sry, can't bring myself to write his name with little m xD) and BewhY hugged Veiniyfl and all of them looked so happy (especially the kid)!
Haha, Punchnello bowing and apologizing to Swings when he sent him to the fire pit... :D Punchnello is a really good guy, full of respect and humility. Love him.
Oh, I haven't seen Jjangyou from this close before... he's quite handsome! xD
LMAO, I laughed out SO loud when BewhY hiccuped! XD He must've gotten too excited, lol.
Ooohmagaaaaawd, my fantasy would come true if I could be near all those amazing past-judges and past-contestants!
I like Veiniyfl as a presence more, but for me A-Chess's verse was better with that beat. All my respect to Veiniyfl for accepting his elimination with his head held high. That's not a thing everyone can do, and it was a pleasant surprise for a teenager to do it.
Oh, Olltii... He has a special place in my heart since SMTM3, but I won't argue with anyone if they say he's arrogant af because he is. :'D Though even then I love his freestyles.
Lool, I was thinking of commenting on it, but after Kid Milli mentioned it, I have to now. Kim Jin-pyo must be q u a k i n g everytime Crush kinda turns into an MC. xD He really has good voice, tone and comments.
Ooh, Byeongwoong and O'domar were really vibing there! Loved that.
Teriyaki girl killed it. Love her voice and clear vocalization.
Having heard more and more K-hip-hop since last season, I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed in YunB. From the flashback to last season, I recognized his team battle lyrics as his Bake Bread verse, and now he used his exact lyrics from No Days Off... His voice is golden, but can't he write some new lyrics? He even has the advantage of being a well-known rapper of Hi-Lite, now this laziness is just pure disrespect to all hardworking rappers.
Haha, when Crush stood up hearing Seo Donghyun's vocals, I FELT THE SAME, BRÖTHER! Both of them did reeeeeeeal goood. Crush definitely had a big crush on Donghyunie. :joy:
Daaamn, when I heard Boycold's beat, I knew I would love the song that Jjangyou and Layone will make. They managed to exceed my expectations, especially with the hook. Omg, Jjangyou's kinda scream-like voice at the beginning of the hook is something else...
Oh, my Punchnello... My humble baby boy... :C
B*TCH, FIGHTER, I'LL REK YOU AND END YOUR WHOLE CARREER! WTF is that statement that you're doing all this just to tease Tutor?! Dude...
Hol' up... Fighter's dad is dating Hwa's mom... and he wants Fighter to date Hwa...?
Hwa and Day's relationship was supposed to be cute and genuine (from what I saw on her birthday party)... But this is the first time we see Day since that scene, and he's asking Hwa to be his girlfriend right after Fighter "broke up" (did they even date?) with her? And she accepts his kiss and his confession?? She was in love with Fighter, sure... :joy:
OH, LORD, you can't imagine how hard I laughed when Champ bumped ""smoothly"" into Blue! XDD The movements were so unrealistic, it pained me to watch (and rewatch... and rewatch) it! xD Thais, please, for the love of God, it's not that hard to retake a scene if it's THIS absurdly unnatural...
On another note, I'll definitely be pissed when (see that I wrote "when", not "if"? Yeah, that's how predictable Thai shows are) Blue will get together with the mean football guy instead of Champ. We could get a solid lovely pair, but no, we'll get another bully-bullied pair... (Still high-key hoping for Champ to be the champ.)
Aaand Tutor is in denial too. Like... how? I thought he knew about his feelings and was just not ready to tell Fighter, but seeing that he's still not sure... :person_facepalming:
This whole episode was a mess. Maybe only Zon and Saifah were going strong this time. It's a shame the directors couldn't continue last episode's cute and natural moments between Fighter and Tutor.
Come ooon... They can't leave us hanging like that! I saw that there's gonna be a movie coming out in May, which will continue where the anime left off, so I'm hoping for a nicer closure there (or maybe even a second season depending on the movie).
I missed a kiss from this episode so bad, but at this rate I would've been glad even for a long hug or something. Though we didn't get much romantic moments with Ue and Mafuyu throughout the whole anime - that's something I was a bit disappointed about.
There are questions left unanswered too about Akihiko and Haruki's current relationship (and what happened between them when they stepped out to the hallway after the string-incident), Akihiko and Ugetsu's current relationship, and some other uncertainties regarding the band's and the relationships' future. So, again, I'm really counting on that movie to further explain some things and to grant us some shounen-ai content too.
Overall these 11 episodes were really chill - I'd recommend this anime to people who want to start with (or simply just watch) a lighthearted shounen-ai. Like I mentioned before, it was slow-paced, but not to the point where it would've been boring.
Am I smelling a 3rd season with this cliffhanger? Though seeing that this episode was released almost 2 whole years ago... But Junjou Romantica had a 3rd season 7 years after its first 2, so I have some hope. xD
Anyway. The kisses were adorable, as usual, and I'm happy for the guys' ending. I loved seeing their interactions, though the anime kinda had that Chinese "BL" drama vibe for me with these not-too-concrete scenes and confessions. I mean, you can clearly see from their actions that they love each other most probably in a romantical way, but it's still not 100% sure or confirmed since the kisses were all to give spiritual power to the other person (well, or at least some could be disguised as giving power)... Eh, I hope if they do another season, they'll go all-in.
As for the other happenings: it would've been better to just finish it here, I think. Why complicate the series with reviving Shouken? And how can you revive a person whose soul had scattered? Doesn't that mean that this way Shouken would be like a zombie puppet?
The other side characters were kind of a bummer to me. We were introduced to so many of them (In Tetsu, the frog girl, the other woman, Jiun, the glasses guy, grandma, Shin Shiyou, Ouyou You, and I even feel like this about Shinryuu Sekijin), but none of them really had a backstory or a bigger importance. Sure, they were all present, had lines and things to do, but if Shouken could get 2 whole episodes for his narration, why can't the others have a bit more to their backgrounds? Not whole episodes one by one, of course, but like as the stone boy could get an episode dedicated to him, his village, its people and his mission, I think In Tetsu's gang or the Tanmoku crew could've gotten some more recognition too.
I was still missing a lot of action and magic that was present in the first 2 episodes of the first season, but it didn't make the show feel empty or anything.
All in all, I liked the series. It definitely wasn't the best, as I was looking for some real shounen-ai with obvious romantical intentions, but it was way more enjoyable than the overall ratings given for it.
I'm not a professional, and since everyone pressed fail for Eunseo, it seems that they saw that he was lacking in something, but... I actually found his rap (well, as little as he could do in that time) good. The beat wasn't the best choice, but his rap was good imo.
For me, it was more EK who did good but I felt that he gave the same level as last year - and he got an all pass...
Aww, YoungB was so cute when he stood up clapping and cheering for Bryn after her all pass! :3 Loving crews' brother- and sisterhood.
Ookay, how did Dbo get an all pass? I sometimes have an entirely different idea about good rap and good rappers than the judges, lol.
LOOL, when Bully casually said "Excuse me! We're filming...", and Jiho started to behave and apologized... to a kid half his age... xDD
Ooooh, Team 21seventeen went hard! I really liked their energy, their matching voices - and they even made a hook! They did really good.
Oml, all my respect to those two guys who were in the same team as Jiho. I would've either forgot my lyrics or kicked his *ss for distracting me. Or both with a hint of angry shouting.
Aww, Yuja's teammates were really adorable trying to calm her worrying with kind words!
The first team for The Notorious B.I.G. beat was nice, but the second one... New Champ is basically the all-time Jiho on SMTM. I can't even remember how many times has he been here, and he just never changes. I really felt YunB's looks; he tried so hard not to curse New Champ out, you can see it in his eyes and facial expressions, omg. xD
Yunhway and Kim Seungmin did give a nice performance, but what's up with the girl including teriyaki in all her lyrics? xD It's at least the 2nd time I hear it on SMTM (maybe she did it in all 3 rounds tho), and even her 911 Remix part had that word in it.
Ooooooh, JukTank-Clan did goooood! Donutman was a delight to hear again.
The dancing team was good at lifting up the mood, but the only 2 good at rapping were EK and Woodie. Zene was especially disappointing for me.
I NEED A TEAM ICEBREAKER ALBUM ASAP! They were AMAZING!! Their hook was addictive, and all 3 of them killed it individually too.
Ohhohooo, the chemi in Team SwayDboJjangyou was crazy good! Although it was a shame that Sway D did a ton of repetitiveness in his lyrics, the whole team was really nice to listen to.
What? Kim Jin Pyo (and the subtitles too) said 87 rappers at the end, but at the beginning it was 88... Wtf, did someone quit midway? But then they would've edited that out and corrected the number before airing... right?
It's a bit sad tho that some people didn't make the cut not even for 1 sec... Olltii, that short, gray-haired girl, the pink-haired weird guy, Bully...
I'm still crying at Mnet roasting Mad Clown with the fire pit xD
Aaaw, gotta love SMTM for the moments like Sway D's, where people in the waiting room were jamming and singing/rapping along with him, and even the judges were kinda dancing in their seats! :3 (I still have my opinion about more famous rappers coming to SMTM, but these little chill moments always melt my heart.)
Anyway, both him and Zene killed it, and the difference between Zene and Woodie was HUGE since they chose the same beat and rapped the same chorus, so Zene stood out for me even more (in a good way, of course).
I'M F*CKING DONE WITH THIS SHOW xD When the legit English- and Spanish-speaking guy gave them names and Mnet just went full savage writing "마미ㅅ..." under Mad Clown... :'DD But it was really nice to hear a Korean speak English AND Spanish (from the looks of it) fluently.
OOOOH, Punchnello, my child! Just as expected.
I don't mean to be rude, but how is Swervy in a label? And not in a small one, either. Idk, her tone is boring, she doesn't really rap, she just talks a bit faster.
It was interesting to see Mattrix, or better, the way the judges immediately changed their expressions after he technically dissed them. It was kinda disappointing to see Swings, Boycold and some others laughing their *sses off at Mattrix's "performance". I don't think just shouting and an aggressive behaviour should get you anywhere in SMTM (or in life in general), and I was so glad and proud of BewhY when he almost immediately pressed fail on him. I guess the not-so-mature judges will face the consequences of not judging seriously when they'll meet this guy in the 3rd round (if they won't kick him off the show before that). :person_shrugging:
DaAMN, Yuja was awesome! She was so cute, and her little accent and chorus was super adorable! Though sadly I agree with Swings: if it was some other judge, they probably would've not given Yuja the necklace - hell, I don't think I would've given it to her judging only by that 1st round... I'm glad Boycold saw the potential or talent in her!
Loool, I'm crying at Seo Dong-hyun! xD He really is smart, and I can never say no to a good singing rapper. (And he also reminds me of OLNL. :D) The same goes for Veiniyfl, he did reeeally good at such a young age between all those older talents!
I'M ALSO CRYING AT BEWHY xDD It's really nice to see the judges just entertaining themselves and each other with these things. And no one dared to press fail to dance machine BewhY. :D
I'm kinda torn about Woo Jinyoung because I think his rapping skills are really good, but his tone is not right. I loved how he said the "camera zoom" part, I think that voice would suit his rap well, but all the other 99% of his rap was in a kinda shaky voice, so it wasn't the best to listen to. I'm not sure if this all was because of the cold or not, but being sick definitely didn't help him with his situation.
This is where the question pops up: if Mad Clown saved Yunhway just because he/they know she's capable of a lot more, why couldn't at least one of the judges not press fail on Jinyoung even though all of them seemed to know that he had a sore throat? Now, I agree with the decision made for Yunhway, but I certainly don't with the one made for Jinyoung.
Ooh, JJANGYOU was pretty surprising! I didn't think he had this much in him judging by the 1st round.
After hearing his story (which I hope is not just for the views), I like him even more. He seems like an honest and polite person. Also, his eyes kinda resemble pH-1-ie's, so that's an extra point for him. xD
These teams of 4 judges seem like uncalled-for complications this season. Why not stick with teams of 2? And even here, despite loving Kid Milli as a person, I have to agree with the negative reactions: he raps well, but I don't think he's judge-material. BewhY may be because he produces as well as he raps, so he can see both sides like Giri - but Kid Milli... Eh, we'll have to see.
Also, from these 8 judges, I'm only unfamiliar with Boycold and Millic, so I'll have to see them in action too to see how they are. I may have heard like one or two of their featurings (well, beats) in some songs, but otherwise than that, I don't know anything about them.
Whaaaaat?? GIRI! Choi Eunseo was great and you didn't even let him finish, but you passed that heart-shaped-haired, irritating-voiced kid??
And Milli?? Letting that nutcase Jiho advance?? Wtf is wrong with judges, smh.
Haha, Swervy seems a little bit off, but she's adorable waving to her labelmate oppas. xD
Ehh, EK... I think he did the same as (or maybe even worse than) in the previous season, so in Verbal Jint's place I may not have given him a necklace. I think if past contestants are allowed to participate in SMTM again, they have to show improved rap skills in order to advance so that the first-timers won't get that much of a disadvantage.
The same goes for YoungB, but his case is even more infuriating. Why tf just "come out because I was just bored and wanted to have some fun"??? Go to an amusement park, ffs... I hate this mentality in SMTM, especially at contestants who already advanced pretty far in a previous season. Just stay home if you're not going to take this seriously.
Aaand that last scene... Maybe don't show the middle finger to and insult the judges right before being judged by them... Some people are just plain stupid. :person_facepalming:
Oh, boy, finally this episode is translated too, so let's dive into those 2,5 hours (rip ㅠㅠ)!
I don't know how he does that, but from the very beginning, Nafla just seems to be super collected and confident. Not overconfident, just a surprising amount of confident in a situation like this. It's really attractive, especially if you look at his calm and humble expression compared to Kid Milli and Loopy's excitement.
It was weird that Kid Milli had 2 songs in the first round whilst Loopy and Nafla had only 1-1. I didn't really like the first two's songs, but that Nafla&Zico duo was something I'd never think of working out this well. They did good.
Loooool, Mommy Son is back! And OML, DONUTMAN, I liked him so much, but how many seasons ago was he on SMTM? xD
Haha, Loco and Loopy messing up the end a little bit... xD They were adorable, as usual.
Umm, is it wrong to like the eliminated rappers' song more than any of the top 3 this episode? :'D That was real hip-hop. Just simple beats and raw talent.
Well, since I already (accidentally) saw the outcome quite a long time ago, I wasn't surprised, but I still couldn't keep all my teardrops in my eyes. xD The interactions in the latest SMTM seasons - and especially this season - were really heartwarming. It's understandable that Zico advised to CoKun that he should try not to get attached to the contestants, but man, who can really do that if they spend so much time together working (and probably having fun too)? This might've been the first time when (almost?) all the contestants were chill and friendly with each other. Sure, there were some banters and healthy competings, but no one seemed to go even near that line that can't be crossed. I'm proud of what this Korean hip-hop community or big family is becoming thanks to SMTM.
Okay, umm, I've noticed it in the last episode too that Shi-gu mentioned Hao-ting's "girlfriend" (ouch), but I thought it was just teasing or idk... Does he really have a girlfriend who he (probably) doesn't even like? Back to the high school habits again, I see...
WAIT, WHAT? Shi-gu DIED?! I mean, I suspected it when Hao-ting first saw him (well, "him") from across that hall, but the scene in the café felt real, so I thought 'okay, this must be amnesia because of that accident'... I even noticed that Hao-ting's sister didn't see Shi-gu because the curtains blocked him from her vision, but if she did, she'd ask his brother about it... Oh, damn... The second half of the series was so happy, maybe even too happy, so I should've known they'd ruin it...
OH, and I just remembered...! It was really off when they talked in the café - I was watching Shi-gu's lips closely because his voice seemed weird... Oh, Lord...
The remembering back part hit me so hard I actually cried with Hao-ting. And when he was at Sun Bo too.
Oof, sorry, but that flashback when Hao-ting was in the car was me trying not to laugh at the word "dick" on Shi-gu's jumper. xD
Oh, man... I'm a bit more happier with this episode than with the last one. Sun Bo and uncle got their happy ending, finally being accepted by uncle's family. As of Hao-ting...
I'm torn again. Of course, I'd want him to love Shi-gu all his life since that romance is what this series offered us, and I liked it so much... But. If I distance myself from this storyline and think about this situation as a real-life one (which sadly happens to people irl), I'd root for Hao-ting to move on from Shi-gu just enough so that he can continue to live his life without mourning everyday. Not gonna lie, I was wondering if he killed himself or not when his mom tried to wake him up and he didn't come out of his room at first, and I thought that maybe if he couldn't bare the pain, that might've been the best solution for him. (I'm NOT nudging people here to commit suicide. Please, don't.) Seeing him starting the path of moving on was really hard, but he's young, he deserves another chance at love. Like he said, Shi-gu can't be replaced. But a new love never replaces the old one, imo. A new relationship maybe, but a new love definitely not.
Anyway, although I'm still trying to get my face together after this crying session, I definitely liked this closure better than what I imagined it to be like. And the fact alone that they made me invested in this couple so much that I actually cried (which is very rare) when I put the pieces together is impressive. That means they did good with the acting and the plot. So however sad I am for Shi-gu and Hao-ting, I can't downrate this last episode that made me feel all these emotions that Hao-ting felt. It was beautifully executed, and the very end made me a little bit hopeful and happy for Hao-ting that he's gonna be able to come out stronger - with time.
Okay, so let me get this straight. A seemingly totally normal child had a crush on another one - alright. About 10 years later, a serial killer told this child (now man) that he's his birthfather - fair enough. The now man child plotted a plan and started killing people because he felt betrayed about his adoptive parents lying to him, and also because of some silly, utopic kid thing his crush said to him 10+ years ago - umm...
I'm not an expert, but I think that "only" finding out that your parents are not your birthparents won't make you a nutcase. Henry seemed like a normal child, and I think that socio-/pshychopathic behaviour can be seen from early ages (but then again, I'm not a professional).
And for a delusional, sick person (as he showed his true self to Abby at the very end) to be able to act normally for 7(?) years without anyone noticing... And that he actually plotted, planned and acted this whole relationship with Trish for years, just to get Abby back on the island... Too surreal for a mentally ill person.
Not even mentioning him being in love with his half-sister... That's just... way out of the line. (And to think that I suspected that he'll dump his soon-to-be-wife for Abby when I saw their hug in the first episode... Ugh.)
I'm really sad that these illogical parts just continued, resulting in a dead Sally even though Henry literally changed to "I" from "he" when he spoke about Wakefield's child. (Oh, yeah, and he even admitted the killings and all that...)
The other two things that bothered me are Chloe's death (she could've easily climbed to the other side of the bridge, but even if she wanted to die after seeing Cal die, that water seemed deep enough for her to not die after that jump), and no one caring about Lucy(? the girl with the small dog). She fell into that trap, then her body was never again shown, so she might've even survived for all we know, lol. And who tf told people that Lucy went home or something like that without any proof? (Maybe Henry, but idk...)
Madison seemed like a smart child by some of her responses and reactions. Then why didn't she tell people about her lies earlier (or rather about the people who asked her to lie) to her mom? Why didn't she mention her "new friend" by his name, only when it was far too late?
And why did the police show photos of Abby, Jimmy and Henry too when they were telling the news to Shae? They said that they burned in the church too... without actually finding their bodies? Lol, pro work there.
The only thing I'm happy about is Abby and Jimmy's ending. But sadly if you think about it, they're the ones who have to live with the emotional and mental burden that Wakefield and Henry caused for the rest of their lives - especially Abby.
I'd loved to see a few extra minutes of an Abby&Jimmy and Shae&Maddy reunion tho.
Overall it was a series full of suspense and action, which was amazing, but I just can't make peace with all these issues in its logic.
The last few episodes didn't make much sense... This time and last time too it was multiple people against Wakefield, but he managed to come out on top? Even without any weapons in this episode? And why didn't at least one of them keep an eye on Wakefield in the cell? They caught the man who killed like 20 people, and they're not even going to be in the same room as him to be able to see if he's trying to escape? And Henry being the helper (and additionally Wakefield's son)...? Eh, just too many useless and illogical twists.
I wonder if I were to watch the series again from the beginning, could I notice Henry being sneaky or not present in some situations. Now that would be good directing. But right now I think that it's the opposite - people can't guess that it's (partly) him because he acts normal, he's among people, he's coming up with plans... He's playing his part perfectly.
I like thrillers/horrors more when the viewers can actually guess who the killer is, even when it's only near the end. Where people think back to the scenes and realize that that person actually behaved strangely, left a clue or wasn't present. But in this case, nothing comes to my mind that would indicate that Henry took part of this killing spree. Well, I guess I'll find out in the last episode...
Umm... Lizhen's grave says "beloved mother"? When she didn't even raise a kid? When her child didn't even know that she was his birthmother for 28 years? Lol.
This episode had 2 not-so-clear parts for me:
- Did Chen Wen-hao kill himself? Was that the gunshot? If so, why tf now that he found his son? And why did Tang Yi start to cry immediately after he heard the shot without even looking that way? Did he know that Chen Wen-hao would do that?
- Did Tang Yi go to jail at the end? Because he shot a police officer?
The kinda open ending was good and bad for me. The Jack&Shorty pair's story ended nicely (though I wouldn't have trusted Jack after hearing him say that he had a secret agenda, lying to his boss the whole time he was working there, lol); the girl&assistant pair was meh because I don't like the girl's attitude, plus they didn't have many scenes together (or individually) for me to be invested in their relationship. And our main pair had a cute ending, but I'd loved to see a short scene after the credits or a even a whole bonus episode for when Tang Yi comes out of jail(?).
Tang Yi and Shao-fei's actors had a strangely great chemistry - this was maybe my first time feeling that I'm actually watching two straight men in love with each other. Their gazes, touches and kisses with each other felt so natural, but their characters weren't those "typical gay characters" like that doctor or Andy, acting over-the-top or girly or idk. Both of them were manly, stubborn, but also just the perfect amount of emotional.
Eh... I kinda like the Two/Un relationship, but they didn't do much together for Un to be able to feel actual love towards Two. There was the laptop thing (where Two hated Un), a work "together" (where Two continued to hate him), a meal and the play (where Two just took photos of all the people).
This is a common mistake in Thai series: they try to fit in at least 3 couples in a series that only has around 12x45min episodes, so maybe the main pair will get enough screentime and get a decent story, but the others not. (Well, in most cases, even the main pair doesn't get enough screentime because of the additional pairs. It's a vicious circle.)
OMG, the part where Third agrees to be Khai's boyfriend and hugs him is so natural! And the very last part too, where they do the little pecks! :3 [Edit: Okay, I've read comments saying that apparently Off (Khai's actor) confirmed that this pecking scene wasn't in the script, he just went for it. So yeah, no wonder why did it feel more natural... :'D] I'd loved this kind of acting throughout the whole series... I kinda 100% got it from Third's actor (Gun), but Off was a bit meh.
Loving that Bone didn't get a happy ending with Paan, though it would've been better IMO to not pair him up with some random girl at the end. 2 successful pairs out of 3 is still a good ratio, and although Thailand is the land of smiles, they have to start to portray sad love endings too at some point... :D
Overall, the actings were decent, Gun, Lynn's and Paan's actress were amazing. (Lol, forgot to mention that poor Lynn's actress got a role similar to May in SOTUS, being dumped/rejected by a guy for another guy. xD)
The scenes were beautiful, but my personal favourites were the soundtracks. Those were top.
Like I mentioned, I'd loved to see more special moments of the pairs, as I could only connect well with Third and Khai's story. Maybe a sequel with the Two/Un couple would be nice, but seeing that they didn't even get a kiss scene here, I think the actors weren't up to much gayness in their roles (especially Two's actor, since Earth (Un's actor) has had a lead role in Waterboyy, another Thai BL).
OML, Third's actor almost made me tear up with his acting... Damn, that boy is good at expressing emotions.
Khai f*cked up once again. Everyone believed in him, but he had to kiss a girl anyway. Even though this wasn't the second nor the third chance Third gave to Khai, this would've been the last straw for me. No love is worth getting hurt these many times.
And lol, wtf is that with barging into Third's home, tacking him so he wouldn't escape, then say "maybe we should talk when we're not this heated"?? Like... dude... You made things wrong, you made things heated, but you won't explain yourself after making things even worse?
Big shoutout to Bone for handling this situation in the most mature way possible (well, except for following Gap, lol). I have my doubts about Gap (he cheated on Paan) - I definitely wouldn't marry him, but I also wouldn't go out with my student, so... Maybe a second try to a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship between Paan and Gap?
I just can't feel sorry for Khai. First of all, if it was the girl who forced herself onto him, why didn't he push her away? (Luckily I've never been in that situation before, but I just can't imagine that I'd be too stunned to not push the other person away.) Second of all, why didn't he explain this to Third when he went over to him? It just had to be a simple sentence, but no, he stalled then acted as if everything was fine. Third of all, who tf is dumb enough to wait half a day for people on the train station? 1 hour, that I can accept, but from morning until the sky turns black? No one is that idiot.
I haven't seen that much of Kid Milli IRL (just from this show, basically), but he seems a bit shy and reserved. He was so adorable with his mother!
IDK if just the video's quality was sh*t or not, but I could barely hear any of the music during Kid Milli's performance. It was kinda lame.
I've never heard of Seo Samuel, but he was super cute with OLNL. :3
At first I was really against Superbee (and other past contestants) participating in SMTM777, but as I watched one episode after another, I saw how much he matured. Not just rap-wise, more personality-wise. I'm glad he's changed in a positive way, and maybe that's a bit unfair against the other contestants, I'm also glad that he wanted to prove on SMTM that he's not an arrogant bad guy.
DAAamn, Superbeewhy is a duo that I would never have expected, and also a duo which I'm living for, apparently. They made a really great performance together.
If I were ever be famous, I aspire for Code Kunst's continuous chill even in front of the cameras. He's a legend.
Oh, Lord, Loopy with SsamD... Man, that was a low blow. How could I decide between this duo and the Superbeewhy duo??? They were both per-to-the-fect.
I usually don't like SsamD's verses/songs because he has a flow which I can't really find the rhymes in (and the lines are mostly don't even have the same number of syllables), but here he showed that he's capable of rapping in a "normal" way. :D Kinda the same goes for Loopy: I listened in some of his songs, I didn't like them, but I think I loved every performance/verse of his in SMTM, where he's a bit more "limited" beat- and freedom-wise.
Lool, Changmo's comment about Loopy having the power to turn men gay... xD Can't say I disagree, but I could name a few more people to be able to do that from this show. :'D
Aww, and Changmo and The Quiett's son-father relationship with Changmo acting shocked and mad wanting a hug from TQ when he saw him hugging Superbee... xD So cute.
I partied so hard when Orange came in since I've seen/heard it on pH-1's IG stories, but OH, it was still amazing to watch and listen to! The dancing bit was so cool and cute too!
OMG, poor pH-1-ie, how fast his smile disappeared when Jay Park said he suspected that he would lose (the first round of voting) against Nafla... xD
Aaah, Superbee... :c But at least the difference between the votes was true to my expectations. Both of the duos did awesome.
Oh, it feels amazing to come back to this show! :3
Superbee and Changmo's chemistry was awesome! And Superbee giving his buquet to her mother, aww.
Eh, I don't know why there's this much hype around Swings. He basically shouted all of his verse, it was a really irritating voice to listen to.
Gray's vocals are no joke, damn. I like Kid Milli's voice and rapping style, but IDK, I didn't really think his rap fit well together with the beat. They were great separately, though.
OHH, EEEEKKKK!!! D A M N. His rap, his movements, his charisma, his confidence, his relaxed mood... it really is something else when you perform with old friends having your back on the stage. EK (and MBA) did phenomenal here. And OMG, him singing "EK~" then the audience continuing it... xD So it isn't just me always singing that inside my head when I see him! :'D
It's really unfortunate that EK (and Team VMC) had to leave the show. I agree with what the contestants and mentors said: if EK had gone first, maybe there wouldn't have been that many votes for Kid Milli in the 1st round - because it's clearly visible that after the audience listened to both songs, 2/3 of them prefered EK's performance over Kid Milli. Sigh... well, at least Superbee advanced.
No wonder why The Quiett is one of my all-time favourite producers. He's so casually chill about them being on the edge of team elimination with the "If we win, we'll go to the finals. If we lose, we can rest." mindset. xD He always has the best things to say: he compliments and acknowledges other rappers/teams, but there's also that swag and chill "whatever" aura with either the self-destructive or (jokingly) arrogant comments. :'D
OMG, 119, OMGGGGG!!! I've only listened to the 51-rappers version when it came out, and even though it's 20 mins long, I've played it a looot of times. This original version came out good too, but maybe since I've heard the latter first and since there are a lot of rappers I like and know in that version, I like that one much better. So now I'm off to listen to it again after a long time. :3
Damn, I don't like Dok2's voice and rap style, but I liked his featuring now. Maybe because of what Swings and the others said: Dok2 was really powerful, like protecting Hyo-eunie from Nafla, even feeling a bit of an attack there with the "Nafla wattup" line. I'll just repeat myself again, but it's really good to see people from the same label, hoobae-sunbae, sticking together, standing up for each other, worrying about each other or rooting for each other (even if they're not in the same group on SMTM). :')
But him saying he doesn't watch SMTM (in his rap) when he was a producer on the show 3 times... :'D
It's really heartbreaking that the people who want to make others laugh and happy, those are the people who'd need these the most (usually not getting it). I'm walking in the same shoes as Chaboom in this sense, so I'm glad he's had more success with his mentality.
Aww, poor Chaboom. :c I really like him as a person, but I have to agree, Loopy's performance was better (though not with this much of a difference).
AWW, when Hyo-eunie was eliminated and Changmo said "I love you, hyung", even though they weren't in the same team... Ah, my proud heart! :')
Eh, I may have to take back my previous comments about Swings growing up... xd He was really annoying at this diss battle. (That may be because of his bipolarity, but still.)
Aww, poor Chaboom and Hyo-eunie babies... :c The Quiett was so cute worrying for his kid, Hyo-eunie.
These disses were all kinda lame, but Superbee singing... damn, he wasn't bad at all! :D
Lol, either I'm the mentally challenged or this bet-counting system is fucked up. I've tried in like 3 ways to count to money, and it was never the same as on the screen. They should explain these things to be more understandable. They literally said and wrote that the winning team will take twice the amount of betting money, then they show that the pH-1 vs. D.Ark battle was worth 5 million won, and the winning team got 5 million won. ...great Maths skills. Then none of the teams received or lost money in the Superbee&Loopy round, even though Loopy won? What?? :DDD These rules are a joke.
Anyway, I'm glad Superbee and Loopy reconciled. This is what this show (and especially this season, lol) is unexpectedly good at - making good relations.
At first I liked D.Ark - he's a talented child, he can speak 3 languages, he's good at rapping, he has charisma... But in these latest episodes he's just acting like a brat. At the first episode I wrote a comment that maybe him and Eunseo would be this season's Woochans, but Woochanie was way more humble and loveable than D.Ark. D.Ark is acting all tough and talking down on other rappers (who are, ofc, older and more experienced than him) just for the sake of the show. He needs to learn some manners, real quick.
The middle part of D.Ark's rap was really good, especially at 1:26:14, where he puts some extra power into those 2 syllables.
Damn, I liked D.Ark's song better rap-wise, but pH-1-ie's is more catchy, moreover THE. LYRICS. OMG, it was so good (well, no, but you understand) to be able to relate to this feeling when people only message you when you've achieved something or "have become somebody". I'm sad that he had/has to experience that, but I'm super glad that he could build these feeling into his lyrics and song.
Hah! I'm not saying that's what the arrogant kid deserves, but... :))) No, he's really a talented rapper, and his song was "more rappy" than pH-1-ie's, but I just hate D.Ark's behaviour, so I'm glad he got eliminated.
Aw, for me, it was Team Superbee which won every round, I'm sad the producers thought otherwise. But I'm really glad they didn't eliminate anyone, that was a humane decision after this intense mission.
OMG, this is my first time seeing Deepflow rap, and he's sooo much different from his usual fluffy teddy bear self... he's a daddy bear when he raps. (Okay, I'll see myself out. xD)
I don't really understand how this new choosing system works. The team who gave the most fighting money to the rapper is automatically bidding - okay. But when at least one more team bids, why not open the doors at the same time? At pH-1, the willingly bidding team opened the door first, and he was behind it - okay. But at Chaboom, there were 2 willingly bidding teams, but only 1 of them opened the door first, then came the other willingly bidder and the automatical team. Then at Lee Dongmin, both the willingly and the automatically bidding team went up first to their doors. ...wtf is the logic then?
Aww, I've never watched the episodes until the very end, but it was so good to see the full Team Nafla&Superbee having fun while the producers rapped to the given beats one by one! ^^
D.Ark sitting in the red-haired rapper's lap when NO:EL is up makes me really soft. And damn, did he do it right because that stage with NO:EL, Loopy and Poy Muzeum was hella good!
Loool, the end of the hook of Superbee&Chaboom&DayDay where they ask the producers for a resurrection round. xD Plus they had a really organized and fun stage too!
Nafla&EK&Bully should've all advanced. Even though I didn't really like Bully's tone of voice, but when he started spitting those lines at the end... wow. Just wow.
I'm really glad for that resurrection round. There were too many rappers in this season who got eliminated even though they were amazing. At least 4 of them got another chance.
I only didn't agree with the producers choosing EK instead of NO:EL. I like EK too, but if we count only the resurrection match, then NO:EL was better, I think. Oh, well.
This group rap battle was a reeeally good invention for SMTM777. It was fascinating and heartwarming to see both Nafla and Superbee being considerate, caring and helpful towards their teammates. Not forgetting to mention Loopy and pH-1-ie, who helped them a lot with their ideas. I like seeing and hearing people rap on SMTM, ofc, but these preparations are maybe even more important for me to see because here we can take a glimpse of how these people act IRL. And most of the times, I'm left with an even more positive opinion of them.
Superbee saying "let's clap them, let's clap them" to his team when Team Nafla won the first round... Damn, this kid really grew up. :')
Lool, EK with his b-boying! xD And when he kinda twerked to pH-1 (especially good timing since pH-1 sang "you so wavy, I got my juice so tasty")... XDD OTP right there.
From now on I'll look forward to the kid rappers even more on SMTM because it's amazing to see not just their talent, but the way they make friends and how the older rappers (even the twentysomethings) look out for them. It's so nice to see that these badass people can be total sweethearts with a child.
I can't do anything else but praise Superbee again. He handled the situation perfectly when he saw that D.Ark got seriously angry. He pulled him back, told him "it's alright" several times, then when it was D.Ark's turn to tease the other team, Superbee lead them back after a bit to not hype up the kid too much. Superbee matured really well. I'm so proud of him.
Eh, I still don't get the reappearing contestants, especially Superbee who was in the TOP. FUCKING. THREE. in SMTM5. DayDay, Rhyno, New Champ - okay, they didn't get really far. But (even though I love his voice and rapping skills) Black Nine, who got eliminated last season at the mic selection part, or Reddy who got into the top 6...
(Gotta admit, tho, Superbee's skills really improved, but I still don't like his tone of voice.) (Lol, and I'm laughing bc last time he participated, he even said in an interview that his name is written like 수퍼비, not 슈퍼비, and they continued to use the latter that season, but they changed it now [tho Kim Jin-pyo still says 슈 xD].)
I understand why not even a single person was supportive of "Mommy's Hands" going to SMTM777 as a contestant. He's infamous for forgetting his lyrics, and he really is the best example of an anxious homebody. I adore Mad Clown as a person, but his tone of voice is even more annoying for me than Superbee's, so it was even more of a pain to listen to.
Him being an otherwise talented rapper, and moreover, an SMTM producer in the past, is what makes his elimination even more awkward and backfiring for him. I'm sorry for him, but I would've pressed the button too. And not just because of his tone.
Aww, poor Owen... xD But I really like him for saying his (and probably everybody's) thoughts out loud. Just because he's against two 15-year-olds, he doesn't have to accomodate to everything those two wish for. Sure, they're children, so they must be treated in a bit more gentle way, but they're in a competition, so why should anyone give up or go easy on them just because they're really young?
Daamn, Owen wasn't this good the last time he was on SMTM, I'm so proud of him! I really-really liked his part and how he was like a hyung/dad to those kids during these few minutes, but D.Ark just killed it at the end. I still liked Owen's rap style better for this song, but calculating in advance, I think it was a good choice passing D.Ark instead of him.
Ooh, Lee Dongmin was awesome! He reminded me of Killagramz (and not just because of their bodies :D ...but mainly yes).
Aahh, I was wishing so hard for Coogie Zilla Tachi to not ruin their lyrics because the teamwork and support was so amazing... "Luckily" it was only Tachi to start the hook a few bars earlier, but Zilla was great that he didn't even flinch and continued his rap without a pause. And Coogie... well, he's a fucking hero for being able to stand on the stage and rap flawlessly even with enteritis. He seemed like an honest and humble person, even hugging Tachi at the end of the song and saying goodbye to Zilla through the cage.
I've only heard YunB in 2 featurings and 1 solo song, and I found him good even then, but MAN, hearing him here is a whole another level! He's hella talented.
Aww, pH-1-ie is a humble little fluffball too. As expected. :3 Sadly I agree with the producers' choice, but I'd still love to see him on SMTM. :c
I'm sad that we couldn't see the audition in details. That's one of the best parts of the show. :c
And this labeling-passed-rappers-with-money business... Eh...
Ooh, I think SMTM777 has its new Jo Woochan, and he's talented as hell!
Nvm, there's 2 now. o
Swings is a really good person. He pressed the "fail" button immediately when the rapper from his label came (and I think he did the same in SMTM3), he gave a fair chance to the person who hurt him with his diss in the past... Although he wasn't that childish in the past (at least as far as I've seen him on SMTM), he's matured a lot since then. Almost a year in military (even though he wasn't required to do it because of his mental health) really did him good. Or he just matured up. Either way, you go, Swings!
The season of reconcilements, it seems. Paloalto can be proud of himself too! ^^
Okay, it can't be Mad Clown, since I've seen some articles last year about Mad Clown stating that he isn't him (tho I didn't read them to not ruin the surprise), but MAN, HE SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE HIM!! Maybe not the full rap style, but his voice and the way he pronounces the words... even the slight lisp matches Mad Clown's exactly!
Hearing him on the stage, making that lyrical mistake (and again, HIS VOICE AND LISP) just makes me more and more sure about Mommy's Hands being Mad Clown, but since he's known to be really shy and a homebody, idk why would he come out to "fool" people on SMTM777. That's just so not his character.
What the actual fuck. This ending was terrible. Not because they died - I would've easily settled for a double suicide the little old Romeo and Juliet way. But why the fuck does that Choi person show up and kill both of them? Where was that foreshadowed? Did he (or rather the Jang dad) want revenge because of Jang Se Ra? Was he afraid that... No, actually I can't think of another reason to kill Moo Young (because clearly he was the target, but you know, can't leave any witnesses behind).
I'm so angry. The storytelling made me connect so much with both Moo Young and Jin Kang, but I just couldn't cry at their deaths. I found this ending really illogical. I mean, yeah, the Jang dad could've wanted revenge easily, but his appearance was so sudden, he didn't even speak a word, he had like 30 seconds of screentime in the whole series... But then again, life is this unpredictable, so at least it wasn't the worst ending possible (just almost).
Sigh. I'm torn because thinking this over, this ending actually makes sense if it was the Jang dad's doing. But with all this hard work put in the storytelling, the actual plottwists (and not those "thank God you've finally figured it out" ones) and the great acting... I'm really disappointed that the ending, the climax was chosen to be this one. I was annoyed enough with that "if you die, I'll die" and "I can't live without you" angsty BS, but like I said, I would've been totally content with a double suicide. Because it would've made absolute sense. I would've been totally content with Moo Young going to jail and later on joining Jin Kang and Jin Gook, living a happy life. Because that also would've made absolute sense. But this shit... (Not to talk about the fact that we don't know what happened after this with Jin Gook.)
