Really good watch. I hope people stop asking for a 2nd season. This is good how it is. But if they bring the same cast in a different format I would watch for sure. Best show for me this year.
The way Han MF Sohee ate this whole serie, we don't have choice but to stan!
And I thought Choi Kang Hee was the only Woman who can rock action dramas, gurl better watch out!
It's like a fanfic written by an 8th grader in 2013. It's so predictable, so unoriginal, so bland. The story is so basic, even the drama and (supposed) plot twist is basic. Filled with awkward and dragged moments. I'm sorry but good looks and a pleasant aesthetic and songs aren't enough to make a good movie.
If the cause of death was overdose ... how did it become murder? I mean, it's not that uncommon for rich popular people to die in hotel rooms because of drugs be it accidentally or by choice! It's funny because usually in crime dramas the culprit fakes the overdose to stall the investigation so that everyone thinks it's suicide and here they jumped straight to murder instead ... go figure!
I was dying of second-hand embarrassment for Ki Joon ... that must be like the worst confession fail in a k-drama! I love his interactions with the second female lead though
This show feels very much like an ensemble piece now.
The amount of characters is huge, it’s almost like an HBO flagship (The Wire, Game of Thrones).
As for the quality of the show, it’s still reliably entertaining and very well produced. It’s still shoving its 80s setting in your face at just about every turn, and the music, visuals and tone are all on point. The writing is also still pretty decent; you’re usually pretty engaged and there’s some great dialogue, but at the same time it can get messy, unimaginative and very predictable.
It’s entertaining and the characters are all great, but the show kinda lacks narrative ambition in order to be more than just pulpy fun. Simple stories tend to work for movies, but not as much for the extended format of a tv show. However, when compared to the recent Star Wars and Marvel output on Disney+, it’s kind of a miracle that this show remains as good as it is.
So, is this show still quite overrated? Yes.
But is it probably more fun and better made than most of the big stuff that’s going to come out in cinemas this summer? Also yes.
Oh, it's been a very long wait. Here's hoping it's worthwhile
Had me in the first half, loose me in the second.
I love the entire cast but this drama lacks a strong or at least a decent storyline and without that there are just good actors portraying random scenes, the whole thing with Han Se Gye changing forms was a waste idea not to say that the movie was a way better portrayal than this and with prosopagnosia condition we also have seen better dramas like "The girl who can see smell" and "The Secret Life of My Secretary".
Strong acting but that's it, watch it if you like the cast.
Unbelievable how they can make an interesting movie about someone trying to conquer his stammering. A great character study by Colin Firth who makes me feel happy, sad and angry at the same time. Geoffrey Rush also plays an incredible part, but somehow I kept waiting for him to go "Arrr!! Captain Barbossa is here!" This movie is carried by these two lead actors as they really allow you to connect with their characters.
I waited a long time to see this, because I thought it would be kind of boring. Turns out it's not boring at all. Just don't expect an action filled ride, but get ready to get dragged into the emotional world of an insecure king.
Ok!
First impressions were another poorly done foreign series imported onto Netflix and dubbed.
I started watching out of shear boredom, and lack of pretty much anything else of interest to watch.
I think I’ll actually finish the series.
At its heart - it’s a musical. None of the songs are in English. They are however, very, very good in my humble opinion. It’s a very interesting and heartfelt storyline, look past the surface and ignore the language barrier.
The series is bringing me to tears; and so far - I’m only halfway through episode two.
This movie is amazing, sensitive and made me bawl like a baby. Bittersweet. Perfect. And BTS song fits is also perfectly (well, they read the script to create the song)...
It begins as an interesting approach to bullying, manifesting itself as a reflection of adult society. "If you weren't the bully, then you were being bullied." And he's poignant and accurate in his depiction of the victim and her abusers. But the last hour turns into a cheesy teenage romantic drama that ends up burying the virtues of the beginning.
The film was banned by the Chinese government, but the ban was eventually dropped. The "spot" at the end seems imposed to be in line with the anti-bullying campaign initiated by the Chinese government.
Just brilliant and absolutely terrifying. Korea doesn't have many works featuring zombies, but it still outshines many other Hollywood zombie flicks I've seen.
At first I thought the show was that boring mature theme kind of drama. But every time one episode ends, it makes you want to watch more. And when you know it, you already finish the whole drama.
Standing ovation! I need a second, a third, and a fourth season to that, with them.
I want 60 minute long episodes.
I loved the series so much!
Well... I don't have much to say about this it started out really good and then it just stucks on childish scenes like in LBC however technically speaking this side story was WAY BETTER, directing, acting, script, illumination and sound mixing, it would be great if it was it shorter tbh so much refill also I didn't feel the chemistry between the mains, I feel like Gulf (Type) overshadow Mew (Tharn) in almost every scene so it doesn't work for me! Saying all this i need to highlight Kaownah's performance he not only portrayed Lhong really well but he was surprisingly good, he's a young new actor with a wonderful future ahead.
My score: 6.50/10
This list is something I'd been looking for without saying out loud :smirk_cat::100:
Moro is my current infatuation from this movie and my profile pic (more like GIF) says it all <3
Well and I do love wolves in general but....
Now my sympathies have reversed and essentially see Zombie Pandemic as a good thing. If the Origin Story is to indicate anything Jun Ji-Hyun and Ju Ji-hoon are gonna another awesome chemistry like in Jirisan.
I am also liking that for her second innings Ji-hyun is going for strength and strong characters instead of glamorous and damsel type roles she is known for in MLAS and TLBS. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us in Season 3 .
P.S : Love that she burnt all the Zombie after wiping out the garrison but never intended to make it unstoppable apocalypse!
The Devil Judge showed us exactly what people with too much power in their hands are like. And why we potentially shouldn't give the general public too much power as well. I loved the show, the performances were top notch and the plot twists just kept coming. I cried my eyes out in multiple occasions to be honest! I enjoyed the ending for the anti-hero, Yo Han as a deeply hurt yet disturbed person, I still think he deserved a good ending. As for the ending for the hero, I would've preferred something nicer for Ga On, he went through so much pain and was left alone to fight for justice. What a great show, totally recommend it!
This is the best drama I've seen in awhile with a great OST to boot.
IU in this drama is the definition of Big-Dick-Energy!
This is probably the first time I decide to watch a k-drama because of the female lead instead of the guy ... IU is the girl crush you just can't avoid. And visually speaking every single second of this drama is magnificent!
It got boring at the end. Didn't feel like they were in love and he was more likely controling her, reading the messages from her phone and pc.
Movie heads were a little slow and a normal copy job. Then they continue to make copies with proper planning. Acting was good. The boys were really good. A crime and adventure film that can be watched, it was a complete social message. The end could be better.
Awesome movie! Ther was so much suspense in it and it is very thought provoking. Besides that, the ending was unexpected. I did not think it will end that way.
The only downside, in my opinion, is that this movie was a little too long.
Takes the heist thriller genre and does wonders with it! Highly intelligent and tense plot aptly supported by a superb cast- this couldn't possibly have been any more thrilling. Had me on the edge of my seat waaaay too many times. Also loved how family and friendship sentiments were interwoven, ultimately boiling down to a study on morality as well.
Quite enjoyed this series/season but didn't like the ending one bit.
Everyone out here complaining about the ending. I’m just really upset my dude died his hair that hideous red color
My childhood favourite. A movie my father could watch at any point of the day, and so would I. Delivers a very crucial message (not that I'm talking about me haha) for the modern society (Indian society more importantly).
Apart from parts of the movie seemingly being plagiarised, this is one of those movies which have my total attention and admiration.
Have you watched Not Cinderella's Type [https://trakt.tv/movies/not-cinderella-s-type-2018]? It is an impressively unique retelling to the Cinderella classic, with a modern touch of course. And I have to say, quite an interesting list you have there! :thumbsup_tone2::star_struck:
