Wtf is everyone in the world gay now a days. All these shows make it seem like 90% of population is gay. This is just out of control. We went from depicting gays as a fluke in human evaluation to everyone everywhere is gay.

@whos_ur_buddha four characters in a cast of 30+ (33 people are credited on this episode) isn't close to 90%.
5:20 Dr. Wilzig and his dog evade automatic machine gun fire unscathed because it's convenient for the plot. The Enclave has perfected cold fusion but their turrets have shitty targeting systems? Come on...

@leonfeng Some of the most belligerent gunfire misses I can remember seeing. It's hard to think they did that without meaning for it to be ridiculous. It really dissipates the tension because it takes you out of the show and makes you aware of the writing and film making choices... there are a million better ways to write it where you could legitimately just think "They do miss sometimes".
I was waiting for Sam Jackson to pop up and start reciting a bible verses.

@leonfeng I mean, pretty accurate to the game lore, they do miss sometimes ;)

The 'escapism' of watching movies is dead, as every single new flick has to be infused with wokeism and politicsloading replies
@eon4dk so you're just regurgitating what other dudes say online and can't expand on your comment.
What a disappointment. I was enjoying this show until all this woke nonsense...WHY did they think this woke nonsense would help? Figures it's an Apple show.

@rrubyj Another person with no idea what "woke" means, but thinks he sounds clever using it.
Never forget to sprinkle a little racism towards whites in to your movie, gotta appease that woke crowd.

@rrubyj gay people exist. Get over it.

Nope not everyone is gay these days it just mean we grown up people just tolerate others and can reflect if a still present problem like gay suppression or undermine women is thematic build into a show. That’s because we are not homophobic or fear strong women etc.
So to answer your question no not everyone is gay but the problem seem to be in your head. But maybe there are people around you who can help you with your problems and can help yourself to envolve to a good human beeing. Always consider professional support  - nice episode, remarkable Nixon tape analogy.
Meant to be set in the 90s but the woke bullshit is already out of hand.

@kingy72 how is it 'woke'? This is literally the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy that was brought in during the 1990s
Filler episode that added nothing to the story long-term. Meh.

@enwyn talking about sexual harassment is "feministic"?
It’s not a movie.
It’s just another bland, soulless mass product that’s primarily aimed at the Chinese market.
Now that WB is the only real studio releasing big movies, it really shows what a joke of a studio they’ve become during the last 5 years.
Not that they didn’t release crap before that, but at least there was something like a good Mad Max, Harry Potter, Matrix or Lord of the Rings film somewhere to be found in their slate.
It would seem Villeneuve and Nolan are the only real talents that are left at the studio.
For nearly every other film they make, they seem to think that appealing to the lowest common denominator will give them the biggest return on their investment.
I.e. the action scenes are more important than the story or the characters, and the scale needs to be huge, even if it looks tacky and fake.3/10

@jordyep I had to say you're wrong about the Chinese market part. Chinese have no recognition of the Mortal Combat franchise whatsoever, since the games never made it to the market. If you said so based on the amount of Asian faces you saw in it, we all know what that means.

Mediocre show, Rosario is awful as Ahsoka and Winstead doesn't fit Hera Syndulla at all. Story is very predictable unfortunately.. I was so looking forward to this, dissapointed.

@bkoto I'm not saying you can't have an opinion about the show, I'm saying you're making some statements one can only know after having watched the entire season, like "Story is very predictable" I have seen many shows where it goes up after the first episode. And frankly I feel like you didn't even give it a chance. But I'm not blaming your for not wanting to watch the show, after a disappointing first episode, I can understand that. But I think it's misleading to make general statements about the entire show after having watched one episode
Of course Sang-woo wasn’t sleeping!

Just a heads up for y'all. Nobody cares if you don't like this episode, season, series. Maybe stop watching and complaining under every episode and just get out of here.
loading replies
@balazs955 And because "nobody cares", you had to leave a comment about how you don't care, instead of a review. That makes about as much sense as the plot in STD. :-P
When i watched the CGI i was thinking "Finally a movie that doesn't use animals to make money" but how wrong i was! The first half of the movie was SO BAD, the other half was average, the acting was awful, the sound mixing was horrible, shi*** plot and the Bella's voice ruined those few things that were "good".

A quick Google search will tell you this movie isn't even released in China. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293429/releaseinfo
All the filthy load of money they are getting there is from the illegal downloads, which is, surprisingly, zero.
But truth probably doesn't matter because China bad.

Well, @balazs955 inspired me to leave a comment that this episode is just another disappointment. >70% of this episode was full of pathos and preceding weeping, terribly written and acted as (almost) always when STD gets emotional. What makes this even more absurd is that half of the weeping was pointless, as most of the crew decides to join the mission at the end.
loading replies
@balazs955 Lol. Well actually it's no surprise that you are incapable to register the criticism, if you are equally incapable to register all of the plenty of flaws in the series.
Besides, other things you got wrong:
1. I didn't leave comments for every episode.
2. I wasn't always bashing the series. There are several episodes with good ratings and some mildly appreciating reviews. Including season 2.
3. When we leave multiple critical comments it's because we experienced multiple bad episodes. Logic. You might want to try that once.
I never would have considered this possible but I actually wouldn't mind if a Star Trek series gets canceled.
There is barely any logic in STD season 2, either in minor or huge events.loading replies
@silrog 3rd season has already been confirmed. So you have to wait another year. But I am right there with you.
Funny how the description of the episode says "Donna finds a way to prove her worth to the firm". Because what I saw was her having a fit because someone was fake kissing her ass, causing a major problem, then needing Rachel to pull an all nighter to help her fix it. Hmm.
loading replies
@khawlah yet not Rachel, but Donna figured out what makes that guy tick. And did something no attorney will learn in law school.
Rachel only helped with the purchase and ownership of the "air space for billboards?".
Donna did great and made sure to fix her problem herself (with Rachel) in stead of running to Harvey to fix it.
Once more Marisa carried the show, every other character is just a tragically lacklustre experience. And by every other I do mean every other.
Spoiler alert:
How they didn't explain at all that the dying character in the cube was "the Authority" is just another typical failure by the showrunners.loading replies
@silrog i cried like a baby right now! She was amazing!
Many story elements were predictable, others make little to no sense. And yet this was way better than most we were offered in this season. A decent final, to a devastating experience.
