First episode was not bad, definitely made me want to watch more.
A good pilot, will definitely be watching the rest.
getting a bit tired of this low ratings at trakt.tv on shows that even had a start date or on pilot day if they dont have any super hero attached. great pilot. yes, it´s better than 3/10 .
I'm impressed, something actually decent to watch. I hate waiting weekly though, I thought it was two episodes, so I watched it, and then found out there's much more...
First 2 episodes have been top notch,if it continues like this it will become a favorite.
Outstanding!!! A very different vampire story. With the season finale in my queue I already see another season with the two main vampires teaming up to find the monster that turned them both. Can't wait!
i enjoy the whole seison of this show. although i love some hard action etc. this whas easy, but interesting.
Looks like I was wrong about this one,by episode four it has become a joke of a show..terrible.
Anything from Taylor Sheridan is always worth checking out, and he rarely disappoints. “1923” is off to a promising start with its premiere. As is customary for works by Sheridan and director Ben Richardson, the show features a strong cast, good screenplay, and gorgeous cinematography.
Strictly judging by the Pilot episode. I have a feeling this is going to be awesome. Man it's great to see Stallone back. I'm really hoping him and Taylor Sheridan's writing will make this one a hit. Just like Yellowstone. :fingers_crossed_tone1:
really enjoyed the attitude Sly brings...great start!!
First episode is great I’m hooked.
Good start! I can’t wait for the next episode.
Great start, go Sly! Very glad I stumbled across this. Great acting, some gentle and not so humour, a bit of violence, and a few plot twists just in the first episode.
Very nice.
So looking forward to this,if its half as good as yellowstone or mayor of kingstown then it will be a winner.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, with Sylvester Stallone as the lead? Sign me up!
Should have been a mini series. Never goes anywhere, really. It's a show where it's all about the way not the goal.
But that way became monotone and repetitious, you were able to fast forward many parts of the later episodes without losing any context or progress. It was dragging on for far too long around the middle. Cut this short to 4-5 episodes and it could have told the same story without much lost.
It does have an end that is being build up to where we all knew it would go even if we had a sliver of "hope" for Strauss still. But there's really no surprise either, even with the "growth" of the killer.
The Auschwitz parts felt out of place and were weird in the context they were used. It's too minimalistic, incredibly slow, too monotone, too predictable. Even with a great performance by Carell this was really not worth its time.
A refreshing departure from the typical formulaic Sci-Fi, and it seems like it may go somewhere special. Do yourself a favour and check it out if you haven't already.
Read the book some years ago. As far as I can remeber the show is near that. I liked it. Solid 8.
Read the book! Its a really good one from Gibson.
It is my opinion this show has so far got it right by ANNE RICE!!
Looks like a slow burn TV show. So far, I feel it's a good pace and hopefully will dive into the backstory of both characters. There is certainly chemistry between the two leads. I'm looking forward to the impending conflict between the master and his apprentice.
Hmmm, 3 plays, 2 collected. Please let me know where you get the time machine that lets you watch and collect episodes aring in 2022! I think I can put it to better use than watching TV shows!
Allf the complaints about diversity are so typical of today's hateful conservative rhetoric.
I found the first two episodes to be epic scenes, great special effects, and a compelling storyline. by the end of the second episode I was disappointed that I couldn't watch the next one. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. a great start to a beloved set of books from my youth.
Please please please don’t suck!!!
The first two episodes were fantastic. It's silly to compare this to game of thrones or hotd considering how antithetical the source materials are to one another. The trailers and character posters looked like they had some spotty cgi and tacky costumes but it all looks stunning in this nearly billion dollar first season. It's already better than any of the hobbit movies and im wildly excited for whats to come after tempered expectations before watching.
Had no high hopes after the last few seasons of Game of Thrones - but after watching S01E01, I think this is worth giving a chance.
All the important pieces were present in the first episode; good writing, visuals, acting.
The CGI looks cheap, but there's not a lot of it (except dragons of course). Some gory practical effects, those all looked good.
+Update after 4 episodes: The season is only improving so far. Worth following. Actress Milly Alcock as princess Rhaenyra stands out from a an overall good cast.
++Update after 8 episodes: As the story made a time jump a couple of episodes back, half the cast were replaced by "older" versions. I wouldn't have minded the new actors if that were the only change, but the writing also weirdly changed - It does not feel like we are following the same characters. Which makes the whole thing fairly boring, no matter how grand the CG vistas or sets.
I might catch up with the last few episodes at some point, but if anyone is wondering whether or not to get into this - I'd say maybe just skip the whole thing.
I'd love to deny it's reality, but the show has been cancelled. It's a shame really, because it was so good. ;( Trakt still tells us to check back next season, though, can anyone change that?
It was a good first episode. I hope this contues. I don't get all the hate. But if I am guessing right, people didn't like how she-hulk is instantly able to perform stuff better than bruce.
People downvoting this like we know anything at all about the show.
Dont understand why rating shows/episodes before the release date is still a thing.
