Nice bit of closure, that inadvertently foreshadows a bunch of seasons later.
Always nice to flash on Real Genius thanks to a small guest appearance.
The flashbacks were an interesting choice but I’m not sure they really worked the way they’d hoped.
In retrospect, all these episodes about sex are coming across a lot creepier.
This was pretty well telegraphed early on and makes me wonder why I ever wanted to be in this industry.
Lots of patron interaction in this one. I wonder how many non speaking patrons there have been over the years.
One of the episodes I missed when it first aired and never got around to watching. And to be honest, I probably would’ve been fine without it.
Knowing what happens in a few seasons puts this episode in a bit of a new light.
I want the repartee back. I thought we were getting that at first.
Diane is a little insufferable sometimes, but Sam is really a doofus sometimes, too.
Glynis Johns looks great for her age here! Although I suppose it’s only around twenty years since Mary Poppins when this was filmed.
I never realized the many guest appearances Harry made in the first season.
Someday someone should write about Cheers from the viewpoint of the random bar patrons.
What, was Billie Hayes busy when they were making this or something? They pretty much reused her makeup. I wonder if the live puppet show was actually better.
Sam and Diane is really starting to heat up.
I will always remember the line, “Better than Vera”.
I wonder how much time took place between the last episode and this one.
Not quite out of the slump yet, but interesting having an episode about essentially an AI.
Cheers meets the Women. I wonder what the boater is for hanging behind the bar.
They’re kind of going through a mid season slump with these last few episodes.
I must’ve watched this first season not too long ago, because some of these episodes really spark a memory. I definitely remember that ending.
The episode about the slump is kind of the first slump.
Baltar is totally Wormtongue. Of course the President ends up worse off than Théoden.
I know so well how Coach feels.
It’s all about the repartee and I can’t think of another show where there are so many good dialogues like this.
Did Norm actually mouth the F word when he was being carried around in the last scene?
Has there ever been a couple on television that spar as good as Sam and Diane?
More marriage and reproductive propaganda. But at least Coach was able to convince her she was beautiful. I definitely remember her line about her mother.
Kind of a semi-backdoor pilot for Night Court?
Definitely missed this the first time around and kind of wish I still had.
