One of the best of the New Scooby-Doo Movies. Almost everything Gomez or Morticia said made me chuckle. I smiled my way through this whole episode. I may have to add the '73 Addams Family series to my Scoob-a-thon.

Wow, everyone talking about the surprise reveal at the end of this episode, but hardly anything about including a character from one of the best, short-lived series of the eighties, Dakota North.
Another one that I have strong memories of, which makes sense. This aired when I was over five, so right in prime Saturday morning cartoon viewing. I think the idea of the headless horseman looking for a head was one the creepiest things I saw in a cartoon at that age.
Not quite as good as the Addams Family, but pretty close. I should find some Jonathan Winters albums to listen to. He does a whole bit in this episode! I feel like they should've made Mrs. Frickert look more like Winters. Velma finally says Jinkies, and we have a record for Zoinks!

Another episode where we don't see the culprit until the unmasking, where he does a variation on "meddling kids," but still no use of the word meddling. Most zoinks used so far.
This really would've been a place for the meddling kids line, but not even a blasted kids here. One wonders if the villain got a bit consumed by the role, what with making Shag and Scoob cook for him.

This one sticks strongly in my memory, mostly the design of the zombie. It's one of the images that instantly pops into my head when I think of Scooby-Doo. A bit of a change with us seeing the discovery of the "treasure" before the defeat of the "monsters".

Traps set - tree branch knocks bad guys into cart which rolls into armored car
Notable occurrences - Scooby eats jumping beans
Now this one got a lot of replay when I was a kid, and the hypnosis subplot was fascinating to me.
Some truly fascinating history around the voices for the Scooby Gang, plus Dynomutt and Blue Falcon. Now I think Welker was using a bit of Red Skelton for Dog Wonder, and him doing some of the sound effects make it even more impressive.
It's really great they got Joe Ruby, Ken Spears, and Iwao Takamoto for this. I should see if there's a bio about Ruby-Spears. Forget about Bluth leaving DIsney, what caused the creators of Scooby-Doo to leave H-B and start their own studio?
One of the strongest memories, with the underground city and the demons coming out of the ground. I like how they reused the character designs for the museum statues from years before.
The Jeannie cartoon may have been short-lived, but it was one of my favourites as a kid. I only just learned that it was Joe Besser doing the voice of Babu, and it just makes me love the character even more. I recognized Bob Hastings as Henry, especially since having recently binged Batman The Animated Series, but didn't recognize Mark Hamill as Corey. Of course, at least here, Corey was almost a non-entity. Someday I hope to see someone cosplay as Velma and do her run.
That's a switch! Freddy puts going to the school barn dance ahead of solving a mystery! This has one of the most iconic Scooby-Doo monsters with the Creeper. We also have the bank president saying "Blasted, meddling kids!" We're also seeing a proto-Scrappy-Doo in the form of the baby chick that adopts Scooby as its mother.

Finally! In Episode 20, we finally get the unmasked villain using the phrase "I would've gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling kids." Well, close to that anyway. Meddling was definitely said. No mention of Scooby, though.

I think this is one of episodes that people really think of when they think classic Scooby-Doo. Monsters, fortune tellers, scary castles, and the villain spouting the "would've gotten away with it" line after being unmasked.

Notable occurances - gang has a beach party, they find a book on witchcraft and Velma does an Arte Johnson impression (Very interesting), gang goes scuba-diving
I remember the Pterodactyl Ghost, but not anything else from the episode, not the bootlegging/piracy plot, or the character sounding like Sydney Greenstreet, or the hangliding.
Blue Falcon's Catwoman? Love that she's so old school supervillainous, with a Mae West impression, to boot. And I'd love to go to a supper club where the singer was covering the Jabberjaw theme song.
It's fun to see extended family members, especially relations of Shaggy, who all look like him, of course. If they have rich relatives like this, it does make sense that we hardly ever see the gang with jobs. I wonder if they're collecting a lot of reward money.
After cutting the werewolf's hair while in disguise, all further appearances of the werewolf show him with his hair cut off, in a unique bit of continuity for a cartoon. I assume that Freddy is actually going to share the large tent with Shaggy, and Scooby is in the pup tent by himself.

What a strange episode! They took the Mystery Machine to Hawaii! And since the trip was thanks to the reporter, does that mean the newspaper paid for shipping a van across the Pacific Ocean? How did they get there? I'm all for letting the logical leaps go, but this is a big one. The villain "clams up".

They go against formula here by not really having a supernatural element. Even once we meet the "monster", we know it's the dognapper in a disguise. We do have a "ghost", but with the dognapping plot, it makes it hard to believe it's not some sort of trick to scare people away. First time the criminal makes a comment about the kids minding their own business, but "meddling kids" isn't used. He says, "Blasted kids!" instead.

Scarcely any cheating from the rottens this time around but they still came in last place. Guest appearance by Fred and Barney is a treat.
The surfing competition was the highlight, although seeing the whole teams working together was a lot of fun as well.
Rather intricate plotting by the rottens in Ireland, and a great counteraction by the Blue and the Purple.
Love it when they put in Pixie and Dixie, or Yakky Doodle, and the little ones end up winning. And more Jabberjaw!
Sometimes it's the guest stars that really make the show, like Jabberjaw and Fred and Barney showing up here.
