Hated it.
As simple as that.
Terrible way to take the series to. I mean it's not as bad as the prequels, because the acting is quite all right, but it hits so many bullshit moments where I was facepalming every other scene it's unbelievable.
High intensity cop show that I wasn't expecting, good story with characters that you could like, and I always fine Shemar Moore to be a likeable guy but he fits the role well as a serious leader of the SWAT team in LA put in a tough spot. For the first episode its off to an action packed start, lets hope they keep this going.
Not your typical cop drama, and the right amount of action to enjoy the thrill ride.
I enjoyed this way more than the first. Plus, the teaser for the next movie after the credits roll...wow! Can't wait to see how the next book unfolds on the big screen!
Since I´ve never liked either Tuvok or Neelix very much I wouldn´t have mind keeping Tuvix. And if you think about it it would have opened up some really good story opportunities.
At the end the moral and ethical dilemma is overwhelming. Nevertheless after that episode Janeway, as a character, was finished for me.
One of the most powerful episodes Star Trek has ever produced.
Was terrific to see Brian Keith in this role. It was hard to recognize him with the makeup, but I knew the voice and I was sure it was him. Great themes this episode.
Since the wonder of DVD's I have re-watch this series again. Personally this is my favorite Star Trek series. I am a Star Trek nerd and will randomly watch different parts of Star Trek for background when I am working on other projects.
Deep Space Nine is the one series that I normally re-watch from beginning to end once ever year. It is easy to just power through them, which is pretty easy to do. One of the strengths of this series is that it has a series long story to tell while most of the episodes stand alone. The full story of Sisko starts in the very first episode and continues along in every season to develop the story and come to a sad, but fulfilling ending.
If you are on the edge of Star Trek, this is a great series to watch. I would not use this series to introduce a new user to Star Trek. It does avoid and make some assumptions about the viewers understanding of Star Trek lore.
Great series, a fantastic start to a great series in the Star Trek universe
"Bisexuals. You just can't trust 'em. They'll lie to anybody."
The people that rate the episode before it's even out, I think should be deprived from their voting rights for some finite period. This is a joke. I don't understand why do they do it, is it fun or something?
The episodie page is reporting 75%, 38 watchers, 60 plays, 217 collected - and it has not been released yet...
I don't understand people anymore. I understand that there are apps an people click everything... but rating it, that must done on purpose, not by accident and it must have an intention don't know why they do it with unaired episodes -more weight to game the whole series or season ratings- I don't know but it's extremely annoying.
Kind of all over the place. Johnny Depp threw himself into the character of Trump, and so it's kind of entertaining from a pure performance standpoint. Plus the Kenny Loggins-sung theme song was hilariously good, the changing kid gag continued to pay dividends, and the movie perfectly captured the aesthetic and tone of a cheesy, late-80s made for TV movie.
But the humor in it was pretty weak from start to finish. The Taj Majal thing was a decent enough through-line, but really the whole movie was all over the place, with random guest stars who hurt the comedic pacing without much of a progression from one to the other. Sure, part of the joke is that this is the kind of lumpy film Donald Trump would make on his own, but that didn't really make it much worth watching through most of its odd, haphazard runtime. This felt like a puffed up college sketch comedy troupe video, and if that was the vibe, kudos, but it's really only worth watching for Depp's oddly hypnotic performance and little else.
a different role for Newman as he lets his actions rather than words do the acting
I really enjoyed it! It's one of my favourites movies. I loved the couple of Stallone-Schwarzenegger and the plot is great! Highly recommended ;)
Awesome movie. Better than I originally expected it would be.
Arnold, Stallone, Sam Neill and Jim Caviezel? Man this film was a tonne of fun. Really enjoyed it.
BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY!!!!!
Easily the worst Star Wars film ever. Not sure what Disney were thinking... Maybe because people liked "A New Hope" they decided to make this "A New Hope 2.0"
"Oh and let's make Kylo Ren basically Darth Vader 2.0"
"Oh and we can make the Death Star 3.0! And make it way bigger, that will blow everyone's minds"
"Oh and let's replicate Hitler and the Nazis, just like they already did in Captain America"
"Oh and let's unnecessarily throw in a million nods to the original Star Wars films just to distract the fans from the weak plot"
There's nothing wrong with nods to previous films, but "The Force Awakens" was basically fuelled by nods.
This was basically just a mediocre action film with a Star Wars skin to help sell it.
Really very frustrating how many people are buying into this rubbish, because that is just going to encourage Disney to keep churning more and more out from their cesspit.
ok sorry but i gave it a 7 just because it was star wars, the humour relief was a big no no for me and i blame Disney for that, i went to see a star wars film and not the hangover IV. To much nonsense of a script and no fresh ideas, it was a recycling of IV, V, VI. I'm upset
Absolutely disappointing rehash of the first trilogy. Disney had a real opportunity to do something new and exciting with this ipr but resorted to rushed writing with an extremely compressed story that makes no sense and fails to make anyone care for the characters or events. Emo Kylo is an outstanding metaphor for the whole deal.
The Force Awakens was definitely enjoyable. I loved the new characters (and the old) and I loved the use of practical effects. All of the actors did a phenomenal job and you can tell everyone really cared about this franchise.
However.... The copy and pasting of most of A New Hope's plot points was a bit too much. It made the film too predictable in some parts. I loved how Rey was a strong female heroine but there were times it she felt a bit.... too perfect? Her ability to use a lightsaber and mind tricks when she JUST realized she could access the force was pretty unbelievable. And although Kylo Ren obviously hadn't finished his training and wasn't the perfect Sith, there still should've been no way she beat him so easily. I also wish we had gotten to see more of Captain Phasma and Poe Dameron.
Movie was entertaining, but the story was too unoriginal and predictable. Too much cheesy Disney humor and too many plotholes for my taste.
That absolutely stank. Broke nearly every rule established by the star wars universe. Anakin skywalkers trained grandson can't even kick a clones ass.
As a film intended to introduce the Star Wars world, the design and special effects that went into this are beautiful and add scope and detail to the original trilogy. The score is also a wonderful addition to the already iconic music. As an introduction to a new set of characters, the story of the discovery of Anakin Skywalker is poorly paced and lacks urgency, despite characters consistently reminding the audience that time is short. Too many cameos and bit parts for extraneous characters and dialogue telling us what is already being shown slow the film down considerably. Better editing would have resulted in a better film. Liam Neeson however carries the film with a great performance as Qui Gon Jinn and the villains are equally compelling, culminating in a stunning duel between the Jedi and Sith which is still one of the high points of the whole series.
I shouldn't have watched the entire season in one day but I regret nothing
Cant wait this show is gonna be BIG!
And Holt is back!... Really, they need to put some more cases with Holt and Jake working together, was so funny and Gina was great, her entrance at the end was the best.
I found it difficult to find a music documentary I was excited to watch. I like 30 Seconds To Mars and Jared Leto so I thought this could be the best bet. I was so delightfully surprised. This was an eye-opening, thought-provoking, inspiring, emotional, engaging diary of Leto, his band mates and their struggle with their record label. I learned a lot about the music industry and record labels and was actually left quite heart-broken that creativity is prisoned by this capitalistic behaviour by businesses. A great balance between factual interviews and moving story about talented and driven artists that really touched me and left me thinking about my own dreams and supporting other people's, too. Plus, beautiful cinematography which always makes a story that much more breath-taking.
I watched it as it's somehow considered as Kim Basinger's break through. Yes, she's hot, very hot. Yes, it has the Eighties charm. Yes, the music selection is great. Yes, Mickey Rourke was a good looking man in the dim and distant past.
Rourke is consequently living his idea on how a relationship should look like. First the innocent Basinger is ok with it but after a while she starts to doubt the play of being Rourke's submissive doll. However, Rourke doesn't like the idea of loosing his power. And that's the point: this movie isn't about sex and nudity it's in fact about power and control.
I can't understand why this movie wasn't a success (perhaps 'murica was too prude in the 80s?). It's a good movie and a wonderful Kim Basinger makes it even better!
I loved this movie for its subdued suspense. What I did not like however was the ending, not because it was unrealistic, quite the contrary actually. Don't want to spoiler it, but "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take this anymore" comes to mind :D
Maybe I expected too much from this, but I found it rather dull. It was too family friendly in my opinion. They needed to make it more horror like with blood & gore scenes. The CGI on the dinosaurs looked really impressive, but other than that this movie needed more dark and heart stopping moments.
