:heart:x0 (yes that's correct zero stars)
DO NOT WATCH!!
This is simply said - just an absolutely horrible piece of crap!!
First, it's trying to be a political and social satire - but it fails. But it somehow also tries to be a disaster movie - and again it fails.
It's like watching a couple of level-headed people dealing with an entire world of Trump clones.
This is nothing more than garbage.
DO NOT WATCH!!How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!loading replies
@schmoogie You were so close to getting the point of the movie but it flew right by you. If you can't see the parallels between this and real life then you might just be part of the Don't Look Up movement.
Mindbogglingly boring.
I am a huge scifi fan, I love almost everything in the scifi and fantasy genre. So of course I was looking forward to this, two parallel worlds where the protagonists meet and interact, how cool is that premise?
Turns out it wasn't, isn't nor will be cool or even interesting. It was dull, forseeable and an utter piece of crap.
Do yourself a favor and just skip this one.loading replies
@bardolph77 I couldn't disagree more, and I don't really understand people like you who love throwing shade. When decent people dislike a show, then as soon as they realize this, they turn it off and walk away as their time is valuable. They understand that others might enjoy it and don't get a thrill trying to shit on them. Also, "Loving almost everything in the scifi and fantasy genre" doesn't make you an expert. You've lumped together an astoundingly broad and massive set of MANY interconnected genres and sub-genres spanning back over 100 years. Nobody loves it all because there is something for everyone. Even you. I'm an old geezer who's been reading and watching all the Sci-Fi i and Fantasy can get my hands on for 40 years, and can say that the more one learns, the more they realize they haven't learned anything at all. It's a very big world.
To everyone else, I just watched Counterpart and very much enjoyed it. It is a "thinker fiction" series, in the spirit of The Twilight Zone from the 60's and to my tastes feels a bit like taking single episode of TTZ and expanding into a full modern series. Human drama unfolds through an interesting "what if" story concept. I find it fun and fascinating, and will definitely be watching each week.
:: Bottom line ::
If you want flashy action Sci-Fi, you will be disappointed. Worry not, there's an endless supply of that kind of fiction elsewhere.
If you enjoyed "11.22.63" or "The Man in High Castle", you will probably like this show quite a lot.
Erm.. okay I'm so confused

@progshine No they really shouldnt. As someone that has read the books i dont agree with that at all. If the show cant tell whats happening without additional knowledge, it has failed in that regard.
I however also dont think that Calanthe not being dead and not married to Eist yet is horribly confusing. Both of them are definitely dead and if they are both walking around it has to either be a dream or the past. How is that hard.
Can't believe all of the negative comments. This was a beautifully shot, well thought out story. Everything in it had a purpose. And that final shot was the clincher. This was a story about the human spirit.

about 6 years away as this is a prequel..
Wanted to see what all the buzz was about... I've watched 5 episodes and got bored out of my mind. Feels like it's targeted for teenagers.
It has a very simplistic take to it: ultra-hyper-dramatization of very basic concepts and bad behaviors of a minority of people. Reviews say it raises questions about society and politics but does not provide arguments or details either way. The stories are sometimes interesting but lack any depth and in the end, it's the idea that counts, or so they say. Just presenting basic questions with no details and some vague/weird drama only makes people argue and thus promoting the series. I find it pretentious.
One of the society satires i enjoy is South Park which most of the times present quite a complete picture about a topic with multiple perspectives and arguments. Compared to South Park at that, Black Mirror is kind of showing you only what the main character(s) see.
loading replies
South Park and Black Mirror are 2 completely different styles and genres. I think this one went way above your head because it's actually a very unique concept with smart production qualities as well. Head back to GIlmore Girls it may serve you better :)

The quality of the shorts in this collection varies massively, with some being amazing and others being total dog shit - Pun intended.
This ranking only includes the shorts I consider worth watching. My score would be a lot higher if not for the other ones; skip them imho:
- 3rd: The Witness (by Alberto Mielgo!)
- 14th: Zima Blue
- 2nd: Three Robots
- 6th: When The Yogurt Took Over
- 11th: Helping Hand
- 1st: Sonnie's Edge
- 5th: Sucker of Souls
- 8th: Good Hunting
- 9th: The Dump

@plseatmy-3 Obviously you are entitled to your own opinion, but my is that it's worth watching all the episodes to see what ideas the creators had for their episode. I agree that not all are great - production wise. Some things are a bit off like voice acting and facial expressions in some episodes, but overall everyone will find something good for themselves.
Possibly the worst episode in the entire show so far.
Constant mindless saying of "die hard" "jokes", constant mindless "this isn't a religion" jokes. Boring story of Summer, boring villain, boring story of Rick just wandering around saying mindless shit and off-screen a lot making ships to rescue the Morty's. Speaking of which, it isn't really clear if these people are distilled Morty's, or if they just have a piece of him, "one 5 billionth" so i'm assuming it's that. If so, then it makes no sense there would be a religion or it would spread like that or any of these character's acting like they are, and i felt all of them having the voice of Morty was off and stopped the npc's from having more depth. The whole episode felt juvenile, boring, nonsensical and mediocrely written.

@guenguer Plenty of people care about CGI- of course it matters. Good CGI is an incentive to watch something, people enjoy seeing quality effects.
Best adaptation of Sherlock Holmes ever. Even better than BBC's Sherlock (it lacks the drug abuse and 'unethical' practices from the detective. It's too "politically correct", it's somewhat annoying). Now if you think I'm on the wrong show posting this, either you didn't watch House MD, or you don't know Sherlock Holmes...
loading replies
Series creator David Shore stated in an interview that Gregory House's character is partly inspired by Sherlock Holmes. Even the name "House" is a play on "Holmes" (with British pronunciation, a homophone for "homes"). In this sense, House is a better Sherlock than BBC's Sherlock, IMO. Also, "House MD" was not an adaptation. It was conceived and created as a TV Show, this very one we just watched... I beg your pardon, but I don't see your point, Bishop. (So late in answer, but I never got any kind of notifications for this...)
Possibly the worst episode in the entire show so far.

@warden1 A lot of the jokes were Die Hard references. However, the over-arching theme of the episode is the idea that the show is operating in a multiverse and the constant references indicate that Die Hard (even the Snyder Cut) are now cannon to the show. Also it's not lost on the showrunners that the references will not be understood by many of the younger fans when they make the joke “I’m 17 no I’ve never seen die hard”.
The Mortys are a piece of his pysche. That's why Martha, the Morty that remains behind, struck a deal with Rick that allowed Morty to leave if Rick keeps the game alive. Her staying behind leaves the one and true Morty devoid of the part that doesn't trust Rick - when Morty says "I trust you implicitly" at the end when they escape. Martha was the part of Morty that distrusted Rick. In a way this indicates that the showrunners are kinda "rebooting" the show to a season 2 Morty that trusts Rick more. However, the part where this theory falls short is in whether or not all the other Morty citizens die and how this affects Morty.
The episode sticks to the narrative that each Morty represents a piece of his psyche. That's why a Morty mom and a Morty dad can exist in the world and Rick keeps saying that once they leave Morty will "find it hilarious". The Morty he's talking to doesn't seem to understand why this is so. Also Rick says it's a video game so maybe the rules apply differently?
Anyways that's my 2cents lol

Seems as though Billy would have wanted to make certain that Frank found them like that, after expending his whole crew on riling Frank up into mad shoot-first mode.
He’s survived all this time. And top notch assassin. This is how he gets undone? Not a fan of the ending. Felt like I wasted the season.

@legendaryfang56 I'm confused if that's a series finale spoiler. The fact that it has the spoiler tag doesn't prevent this comment from being shown to people that watched this episode (but have not finished the series, like me). I see that some people say the ending is actually happy and that everything seemed to work out at the end! But i find that's not true!
We can clearly see at the ending that Ki-woo is still poor and dreaming of making his message to his father comes true
but did it actually happene or not? we don't know for sure! And i guess it didn't happen and that was because the reference back then when they lost their house, when the father told Kim Ki-woo that plans don't always success and that dreams never come true, so it actually does make sense.
The only thing i don't like that how did actually Kim Ki-woo survive?:D
I mean he has been hit twice by a huge rock in his head!!
And the funny thing that the woman who hit her head by falling over the stairs is the one who died :D!loading replies
@dr-blue The director has stated in an interview that he did the math and it would take Ki-woo 541 years to earn enough money to buy the mansion.
He's never going to be able to buy it. That's the whole point, "class mobility" is a cruel joke.
This film will never see the light of day. Acceptance is the only thing that is left.

@just-lily How does it feel to be super and publicly wrong?
In this episode, House finally chose to see if there really is an "afterlife", by sticking a knife into the wall socket. I believed that he did saw something. There were some silent shots of him reflecting. Those were great shots.
loading replies
@karobotd He never sees anything. In the the of the episode he says something to the guy's corpse in the morgue "I told you so" in reference to his "afterlife" wishes.
After the shock, he is disappointed because he wanted to be proven wrong.
Are you going to add the new Marvel's Guardian of the Galaxy TV Show or are you leaving it out because it is animated?

The animated shows are part of their own universe and aren't connected to the MCU. So neither the new Guardians of the Galaxy show nor any of the other animated shows belong on this list
