Kaori and Kenny are super cute and chill together. They're both mature, kinda reserved (but in a good way) - I could see them as a couple. Kaori was my favourite from the moment I saw her, and "getting to know her", I just fell in love with her even more. Even though she's on a date (and will be on a second one) with Shohei, I only sense a friendliness from Kaori towards him, not much more.
From the boys, at first I had my eyes on our notorious blushing boy too. xD But I didn't want to comment right on the first episode because I wanted to see more of these people. And right now - though I still like Ruka - Kenny is the top for me.
Like the others mentioned it too, he was really reserved and kinda quiet on the first day - but then I had to agree with Kenny's bandmates: who would be fully themselves without any reservations on the first day with 5 strangers? So now that he's slowly opening up more, (imo) being himself especially with Kaori, and sharing more of his opinions, I'm drawn more to his mature and chill vibe rather than Ruka's cute- and handsomeness.
The two (yet not mentioned) girls were the second reason why I didn't want to comment right at the beginning. I had the same first impression of them as the hosts: they're gonna cause drama with their attitude. :'D Especially Risako. But right now Risako seems a lot more chill and a lot less... intense. Even if it's only because she thinks she has Ruka in her pocket already, I enjoy seeing her like this way more than competing for people's attention.
Haruka, on the other hand... Idk, I'm the first one to appreciate a girl with "not-so-girly" interests, but this kinda bragging about it... Eh... And those looks she gave sometimes when a guy was listening to another girl (especially felt her jealousy when Kaori and Kenny were talking about drawing at the table, and she felt left out, so she asked Kenny to teach her how to play the guitar)... xd (Also, why does one have a guitar, especially one in a hard case (which is a lot more expensive), when they don't know how to play it? That plucking technique was awful...) So yeah, she might be the one who I'd have problems with behaviour-wise. xd
I may not be an expert, but when one of my strings snapped a day before a competition, we only changed that string, not all of them. Why would you change all of them if they're in good condition? Especially right before a concert, you have to tune all of them literally every minute to sound good after you put them on. Why not just struggle with one string's constant tuning instead of all 6's? :person_facepalming: (And, as I thought, his strings were perfectly in tune through all that song. That's not how it works if you changed them just minutes before.)
But moving on... Omg, that song, Mafuyu's voice, the animation... so awesome! It was a really fragile moment when Mafuyu walked to Ue after the song and they went off-stage without a word. So pure. And finally a kiss! And Mafuyu admitted to himself (or Yuki) that he found a new love in Ue! Adorable.
Yuki's voice is really nice! It's a shame that this voice actor's character is dead...
Mafuyu thought some deep things regarding that date. No matter how much you enjoyed some moments in your life, you're gonna forget more and more details of it as time passes.
I'm crying that they censor out almost every inch of skin on Jay Park just because he has so many tattoos. :'D
I agree with Eung Beom - though he wasn't that great either, but for Superbee to diss him in all of his part, to forget his lyrics and to mess up Eung Beom's part with his mistake... Man, the judges weren't fair.
It's one thing that Black Nut raps well, but is he really necessary for this show with his rude behaviour? I get that he must have brought many views, but I can't imagine him working along with any of the mentor teams.
Oh, man, One and Hanhae... TT__TT
I get why nobody wanted to befriend Heo In Chang. He really rapped for just 30 seconds in the 2nd round, then he played some kind of mind game with Seo Chul Goo and was mad at him for using less polite addressing in one of his sentences... What he didn't take into consideration was that Chul Goo was polite with him at first, even addressed him as "hyungnim" instead of a simple "hyung", so I can 100% understand Chul Goo having enough and dropping the "-요" ending and saying "네" instead of "예" after Heo In Chang's stunts with the beat choice. And he dares to call Chul Goo disrespectful when he asked the judges if they adjusted their in-ears right (just because they said they didn't hear his rap clearly)??? WTF.
OMG, I thought it was going to be YDG or someone Korean, but mAN, INVITING SNOOP DOGG?? Whoa, that's big!
Also, that sudden mission was a really good idea to bring some variety in this show. But, though I get that they were probably busy, I'm still a little sad that Tablo and Paloalto couldn't have been there.
So Eun Sol just happened to solve the mystery of how that kid's body was 5 meters from the wall - while she was almost unconscious from all those pills. Yeah, sure.
I think I couldn't express more how I hate when there are a ton of recurring characters by silently mentioning that I didn't know who the killed person was (in this episode's last 5 minutes). Not by taking a look at his face, not by his name. And it wouldn't be so frustrating if the other characters wouldn't make a big deal about it - being all shocked and crying when I literally can't remember him even the slightest.
I love these assumptions like "one glass was smashed, but there's another one missing just because in the second row there are 3, and in the first one there's only 1". Why be so sure about it just because that would be symmetrical? Maybe he broke it long ago, so there's only 5 in total now. Maybe the 6th one is in the sink, the fridge, the dishwasher or anywhere else. Really, why make assumptions based on what should be normal?
At first I really liked Kang Hyun, but in these last few episodes he's just getting on my nerves by pointing fingers without real evidence. Did he really get a warrant to exclude Baek Beom from doing an autopsy on Seo just because he was the last one he called before he died? Not even gonna mention those 3 other people who he called 1, 2 and 5 times respectively on the same day? I hate being the drama-killer, but man, this chap has to back off with his temper and grudge against Baek Beom.
I have a few questions (as usual):
- Why did the show appear again in TV after both Mike and Eddie were stuck in that other world (Candle Cove)?
- Why was Eddie a tooth monster? If I remember correctly, Gene "only" broke his finger, so he could've been a bone monster or something, but there wasn't anything related to teeth in their childhood fights.
- Why could only children "find" Candle Cove on TV (or more accurately: why did it appear only to them)? And what was that in the show that made children attack people, kill them and obey to Eddie? There weren't any hidden messages, orders for assault or anything like that in the episode snippets we've been shown...
- Why did the children listen to Mrs. Booth? Just because he sacrificed his son to Eddie?
- If Eddie was the real creator of Candle Cove, how did he make the show? How did he broadcast that on a secret channel, only to children to be seen?
- What kind of powers did Eddie have to have been able to stop Mrs. Booth's seizures?
I know it's fiction, sci-fi, but I think they could easily have answered all of these plot holes. Not with down-to-earth things, but I'm sure they could've think of something if they just took more time to build a better plot.
Okay, so:
1) idk why, but I did suspect that the weirdo is gonna put a camera inside the lamp.
2) I also dunno how Young-seo didn't even notice the glaring red light coming from the bulb of the lamp. :joy: Or just simply have a sixth sense for this, cuz... you know... she's a woman... in South Korea... where these kinda hidden cameras are pretty common...
3) The fucker only getting fined is ridiculous. I mean, sure, there's no exact proof that it was him giving the lamp to Young-seo (maybe the CCTV in the common areas of the apartment complex?), but man... I'm glad they included the police officer also being bummed about this law, that there's no jail time for perverts like that guy.
4) The over-"comedification" of the situation was really cringe, but the trauma poor Young-seo has haunting her is so saddening. Imagine being so anxious about going on public toilets (even at your own workplace!) that you'd rather hold your pee and/or poo in cuz you're that afraid of hidden cameras... :/
I didn't like that Cha Sung-hoon was willing to kiss Young-seo when she was clearly wasted af. Wait for her to sober up, please, even if she's adamant about crossing the line after a little wait.
Tae-moo and Ha-ri's secret/fake/whatever getaway would've been much more healthy if... I don't know... Tae-moo would've told Ha-ri about his feelings instead of acting like all this is between a boss and an employee. Why communicate like a grown adult, am I right?
And, well, Ha-ri should also be much less of a dumbass and figure out why does Tae-moo invite her to watch a movie, take a beach trip and eat alone with her and only her. :person_facepalming:
Simi, once again, proves how childish he is, immediately calling Kori out (of course, when he's not in earshot) for not being able to carry 60kg... Like... huh? Yes, they fucked you over, but you're trying to make it seem like it was only because you're a strong participant of this game. You're strong, sure, but the main reason was exactly this kinda mentality and personality that made you a target. :joy:
Also tells a lot about his personality that he screamed "BASTARDS!!" when he won instead of being happy for his own achievement.
I'm really sad to see Anett go, I'm also kinda sad that Jani won't be in the competition anymore, but it is what it is. Anett can support her boys from afar (and at the ultimate voting at the end), and I'm still proud of her cuz she was the only one who was there fitness-wise and personality-wise. She's a pure soul, a kind, fair, honest and smart girl. I'm glad that she was cast this season with all the two-faced, egotistic, toxic and/or weak people.
Iiii don't know how to feel about Zera's quitting. I get her feelings, but couldn't she just given up during the game? Like not performing well, then letting the team vote her out? I mean, sure, that's a lot of extra attacks on her, maybe that's why... But I wonder if the game really is that scripted that they put Zera in that team on purpose (I mean, of course, there wasn't even a pull-names-out-of-a-box kinda thing, just Joe said the names by himself) just to make her reach her breaking point. In the opposite team from Viki and Kori, and teamed up with all the people that she dislikes.
In any case, I have some VIP info (and, well, most people already saw these next few episodes on TV :joy:), so I think I'll be happy about the results.
Ahahhaa, Zsombi accidentally dropping a bombshell on Kori was AMAZING! :joy: I hope that will help hinder Kori's trust in Jani (and Vivi) and could get him (Jani) voted out instead of Anett. :fingers_crossed:
I also just love Kori in general, he really surprised me by helping Zsombor to climb up in the previous episode's challenge - even though it was a solo game, as we know -, he seemed to hang out with Anett, chilling instead of dancing when the tribe had that feast, and now he's gone to do some chore with Zsombi. Kori really does seem to hang out with some of the ex-Buhawi members because he genuinely likes them (unlike Simi - he may like them too, absolutely, but I think he was a lot more in it for a tactic). And now that I think about it, Kori does seem to have a lot in common with Anett and Zsombi in terms of personality: they're all kinda reserved observers, kind people, avoiding conflicts, only rarely even raising their voice... I dig these hang-outs of them!
I love how the youngsters all said "no" when Vivi asked them if they were gonna vote on her, but all tried to avoid the topic and give vague answers when she asked if they will vote Jani out. :joy: They didn't dare to lie to Vivi. :joy::hearts:
Lool, Simi passive-aggressively saying into Vivi's face that he's just curious how things will unfold regarding all past events, lies and betrayals. :joy: He played that super well with a straight face!
So sad to see Vivi go back to this ugly self of hers, pointing fingers at Anett and try to bring her down just to save Jani's ass. Too bad it won't help you.
Okay, but I do like that Vivi explained her vote on Anett by saying that even though she (Anett) is surely a cool person in the "outside life" and they would probably befriend each other there, she is a strong contestant here. Not genuinely hating on Anett is nice of her. (Well, unless Vivi is only acting like that.) And Jani is also adorable for saying he's ashamed of himself for voting on Anett because it didn't come from his heart. :hearts:
By not interviewing Vivi alone mid-scenes, and by us not seeing/hearing her one-on-one talk with Tomi, I'm a 100% sure now that she'll do the right thing and fuck the dumb-and-dumber trio over.
AYYYY, THAT'S MY GIRLLL!! "In Vivi we trust" was my motto from last episode up until the big reveal - which wouldn't have come as much of a shock to Nóra for example if she would be able to use her tiny brain. Vivi's facial expressions showed so much disgust whenever she talked to that trio that I'm genuinely surprised that not even the manipulator, Gergő himself didn't notice that something was off. Well, as Anett and Vivi put it: the hero-wannabe fell into his own ego's trap. :person_shrugging:
LOOOOLLL. The second Nóra loses Gergő, she's like "nope, I can't do this". Then she manages to describe not wanting to manipulate people in order to play this game because she's not like that... Could be true, yes, but the opposite is also true to her boyfriend. So she essentially described her undesired characteristics which apply perfectly to Gergő.
I'm all for women supporting women. That's why I'm saying that Nóra has to get out of that relationship asap and has to go to therapy. For an almost 30yo woman (well, she's more of a girl) to be this fragile and this weak mentally and emotionally... she's gotta work that out with a professional. That's not normal. The dependency and level of attachment she has for Gergő is not normal. Yes, you can love someone a lot. But the fact that she clings onto him whenever possible and can only open her mouth when he's there right next to her... Just nope. Go to therapy. Alone.
I love how those 4 stupid idiots thought that all of them sabotaging the team just a bit wouldn't be obvious... Well, you 4 immediately going away from the campsite right after that letter was already obvious, would even be for dimwits like you, so... :joy:
The funny thing is that all (remaining) 3 dumb-and-dumbers thought that they should stick to their very "not-"obvious plan of losing on purpose - but they didn't realize that Vivi will have none of it. She wants to win, she hated Gergő in their previous team too for backstabbing her and sabotaging that team too, so she will gladly join Tomi, Anett and Zsombor to vote that annoying-ass manipulator Gergő out. :joy::joy: The idiot trio's only chance would've been if they fought for the win, but they fucked this up royally.
Major kudos to Zsombor for dealing with Olivér's maniacal outburst as calmly as he did. Not fueling that monke, simply replying the bare minimum, and mostly just leaving him be. Olivér threw Tomi's age around that he helps out a lot, etc., now look at Olivér who's a lot older but on a mental level of an 8yo who doesn't get what he wants. :joy::joy: Biggest clown of this season.
I truly hope that Vivi is only bluffing with those 3 and she genuinely wants to kick Gergő out as soon as possible. She's smart. So unless she's playing by a really twisted logic (kicking the stronger people out and leaving those in whom everyone hates, just to reserve a sure ticket for herself in the endgame), then I believe in her judgement.
Oh, okay... then Kang really was trying to lock his lock around Pimfah's... Okay, cool, no worries... I'm just still confused af... I thought he was jealous because he wanted Sailom too, not because he wants Pimfah... (Which, again, doesn't make much sense since he's been treating her and looking at her as a friend up until last episode, sooo...)
Why is everyone mad at Sailom for not liking Pimfah?? Kang, the teacher (kinda, she's more worried about Pimfah), Pimfah herself (more sad than mad, but shhhh)... Like bro, ya can't control who your heart wants!
Kang dared to lie into poor baby Sailom's face?! BRO?! Even if he didn't feel love, he felt something. I get not wanting to lead on someone you're not interested in at all, but Kang has shown various signs of being at least a slightly bit interested in Sailom. Romantically.
Hence why he visited Sailom when he was sick. And cloth-bathed him. And did their project all night. Sitting close to Sailom.
Guy visiting Sailom, bringing him food and feeding him was !
Okay, well, khm... You see, I'm a wh*re for jealousy scenes done right, and these last few minutes... SHOOK ME. A bit. Just a bit. :joy:
Olivér once again proves his 50 IQ by saying "há' elborult-- na, kiborult a mécses" (sorry, too lazy to translate) without seeing anything wrong with that "saying". :joy::joy:
This time I genuinely think the Jarakay guys have it figured out: Zera could very well be in the middle of menopause. Or she really just loves to stir the pot that much. (I know people from both camps, and oh boy, Zera sure fits the criteria.) Even if it was her idea first and Attila just used it after hearing it from her, a simple half-joking, half-serious little comment (in a friendly way!) would've been enough, then she should've just let it go. I get that she's vocal about her opinions, but ruining the good vibes solely because some absolutely minor thing is bothering you is not worth it - should not be worth it.
Not the Jarakay men naming their boat Nokedli...
Anett was so sweet when she was interviewed about it, and the way she (and Joe, too) smiled when she heard that it was named Nokedli...:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
The Jarakay men goofing around (but Simi still plucking out Jani's eyebrows like a true bro :nail_care:) was adorable to watch! :hearts:
...Zera, on the other hand... Literally saying that she's disappointed??? That they haven't gone to a real spa??? Bro, istg. This woman reminds me more and more of my colleague (who is through menopause, as far as we know (an info against our will)) who just can_not_ fucking enjoy something or joke around with it but instead whines and whines nonstop. :weary:
A glance to the promo of the next episode made me calm seeing that there will be 2 new tribes from (our) next week on. That is only fair cuz from the moment poor Zsombi lost that duel to Wendy, it was obvious that those 4 cowards would intentionally want to lose the game for the totem and vote Zsombor (or someone of the 3 remaining OG Buhawi) out. I'm glad that the director(?) noticed it and was willing to change the dynamics.
I love how Gergő always comes with this gentleman this, gentleman that shit... So you think it's a gentleman thing to lose challenges ON PURPOSE to make your team weaker? Or is it a gentleman thing that you LIE left and right just to save your gf's ass? Like bro... This cowboy needs some reality check and look into himself before degrading others.
(Also, but this one in just parenthesis, I think even his relationship with Nóri is an obviously one-sided one. He manipulates her, he doesn't even seem like he loves her, he just uses her for whatever reason he wants to. I've been noticing this basically since they reunited, and if it did turn out to be true - that Gergő is not only an asshole in-game, but also a big-ass manipulator irl, not loving Nóri -, then promoting his behaviour on national TV would be even more disgusting.)
Lol, Olivér getting annoyed at Zsombi and Tomi, the "brats", giving an ultimatum (which Olivér cannot even pronounce well, possibly legit doesn't even know how to) when 1) that's part of the fucking game, 2) they're just a 5-7 years younger than you and still smarter than you, sooo maybe don't diss those who are capable of using their brains just because you aren't... :joy::joy:
I don't get why Anett and Tomi (and maybe Zsombi, but he said multiple times that he hates conflicts) didn't dare to oppose Gergő or help Zsombor out when they sat down and revealed Gergő and Nóri's relationship. When the 3 of them (Zsombor, Anett and Tomi) talked about this a bit later, they both agreed with Zsombor. So... why do they never take Zsombor's side and just stay quiet, leaving him totally alone in the "battle" against Nóri, and now Gergő? Only because they don't want to be on Gergő and Nóri's hitlist? Or because they don't want to partake in any type of conflict to not be on anyone's radar? Ehh...
While I don't necessarily agree with the choice of leaving Wendy out because of communication issues (although it does seem valid to do so), I certainly don't get why would Wendy suggest Zsombor immediately - other than the obvious reason that she doesn't like him. I'm not sure if she said any argument cuz I didn't hear any, but dude... like... She insists that she's intelligent, she just cannot prove it because they don't give her a chance to. But tiny glimpses like this one prove that no, she's not smart. She wanted to leave Zsombor out of a challenge FULL OF physical components, when Zsombor is the 3rd strongest guy out of the 5 (and he's probably stronger than all 3 of the girls - only Anett would stand a slight chance against him). Just because Wendy doesn't like Zsombor, she wanted him to not participate in the challenge. Smart, right? She is smart, right? :person_facepalming:
Zsombi saying bon appétit to the Jarakay tribe...! And Zsombor letting Gergő to hold onto his arm after his (Gergő's) cramp...! :relieved:
I think the cramp was genuine, you could see the pain on Gergő's face. However, I really hope that this will make him the target of the vote. (Though I could see some truce being made between him and Zsombor in the sneak peek, sooo...)
Does Zsombor have self-esteem issues? Possibly. Does he have some kind of trauma? Maybe. Do these mean that he's in the wrong about Nóri and Wendy? Absolutely not. I don't know how Gergő doesn't see (if he's sooo smart) that he just arrived to the island and is already going against Zsombor just to protect his blonde b*tch in a matter that he (Gergő) doesn't know shit about. Did he or Zsombor see how much Nóri and Wendy took part in the tribe's life in the past 10 or so days? ... Exactly.
HAHAHHAA, Nóri the dumb b*tch actually said that Gergő did much more useful stuff in 1 hour than all 3 of the original Buhawi boys in 10 days?? First of all: that's not true, and we all know that (except for this delusional chick). Second of all: what have you done exactly in the past 10 days, Nórika? Oh, right. Nothing.
Jani falling in love over and over with the burgers was hilarious to witness. :joy:
Zsombi was totally right - as usual. Even though I agree with how Zsombor thinks, how annoying Nóri is as a person in general, and I am super irritated by her voice too, this latter draws the line for me. Because - just like how Zsombi pointed it out - Nóri cannot change her voice. She could change on her attitude and a lot of other things, but not her voice. And like I commented it a few times before, I do agree with Zsombor's overall opinions, his delivery really is just hurtful sometimes.
I'm kinda bummed about Emma, but I also know it was the right choice for the tribe. She showed a glimpse of her true power in the last game where she stood for the longest out of the 3 people from Jarakay, but sadly that wasn't enough. I think her biggest mistake was that she was so incredibly passive throughout these 9 days. Barely ever talking, hiding in the shadows. Not even on the day of the voting. I think she knew she was gonna go home - hence the bracelets to Zera and Viki -, and she just accepted it without talking to anyone to see where their head's at, or maybe even convincing them to not vote on her. This passiveness was gonna be her obvious downfall from day 1.
Lol, I'm gonna be an asshole, but I love how Nóri nor Wendy were even mentioned as possible participants for any part of the game. :joy::joy: Once again shows them how useful their team thinks they are.
It's really sad that Gergő took the route of playing with the blocks like a 90yo (as Jani oh so beautifully said), but it's a whole another level of sad that he had to play dumb that obviously to lose because Zera was actually, genuinely incredibly bad at it. :joy: I'll laugh my ass off if Gergő's "trick" will be all for nothing and he'll go to Jarakay at the end. :joy::joy:
I was sad for Karagatan on multiple occasions because of Gergő's bullshittery, but this one... this one takes the cake. Olivér, Jani and Vivi were so fucking awesome in their respective parts, they were first (or a really close second, idk), only for them to be fucked over, once again, but this time really not subtly, by Gergő. I totally understand and feel their anger and disappointment, and just hope for the worst in this game for Gergő and Nóri.
You know what I don't understand? Why apply for a game when you're a whiny, weak, dumb and so easily manipulated girl (cuz she's older than me but I sure as hell don't see her as a woman) with your boyfriend whose only role there is to be with you for moral support or whatever? If you're that weak on so many levels, just stay home and let those people have the opportunity who actually want to do this game, who are actually fit for it. Mentally, physically and emotionally. I see NEITHER of these 3 in Nóri.
Enough of these lowlifes though. Zsombi, MY BOY, ZSOMBI was amazing!! Truly the gamer, the logical thinker. I have no clue why Zera didn't just do the easiest and fastest way (that Zsombi chose, and I guess what Gergő would've chosen if he didn't throw) and just try every block's each side, every (main) angle one by one. It wasn't a game where you had certain amounts of tries, you could literally go HAM and speedrun it like Zsombi did. I hope this guy has earned some (more) respect from the others this way.
Brooo, hahahha, Zsombor was attentive enough to see the looks Nóri shares with Gergő, omggg! How idiotic can Nóri and Gergő be to think no one would notice if they took glances at each other? Like bro, these 2 are living in their own little world and just ruin the game and the experience for everyone else with Nóri's uselessness and annoyingness, and Gergő's throwing.
Man, I really wish Vivi would've said "You fucked us over for Buhawi? Alright, then we'll go there with Jani, so your plan to join Buhawi can go down the drain". She's smart for figuring the Gergő-Nóri thing out (tho Gergő apparently wasn't smart mentioning his girlfriend's name and writing N-s in rocks like a teenage girl), and I truly hope she'll be able to use that info against them in the future.
I LOVE Tomi's choice of bringing Zsombor and Anett with him! I was already prepared for him to choose Wendy - and by her death stare, I think she was sure of it too :joy: -, but I'm so so glad that he chose Zsombor instead (Anett was evident for me). Tomi has grown in my eyes a bit. (He said his choice was not tactical, I don't fully believe that in the case of Zsombor, I'm still cautious with my opinion on him, but this, indeed, was a fair choice. Unlike Nóri saying Wendy did the most for the tribe. :joy::joy::joy: That was cringe af.)
Aaand there it is, he lied about it being not tactical. :')
I totally feel Vivi on this one, and - surprise, surprise - ever since she isn't hanging out that much with Jani (or at least not on camera), her personality and thinking process are much much more like at the beginning when I heard her talk for the first time and I was like "okay, I think I'll like her". Same goes to her as to Tomi - I'm being cautious with how much trust or sympathy I give her, but as of right now, she's alright.
Okay, so at the end of last episode, we knew which 2 tribes were gonna vote someone out. By the end of this episode, we still don't know who'll leave Jarakay. :expressionless:
Jani is confusing me a lot. When he dissed Olivér so fucking cruelly, I was truly disgusted by him. But now (at the beginning of the episode), he's proving that he can be self-aware, he knows he usually gets ahead of himself or that he's all muscles, no (or less) brain. I think deep down he really is a smart (or at least not dumb) guy, but it seems like the bad kinda gypsy habits die hard in him.
Omahgaaad! I am so SO glad that Joe pushed the topic and Zsombor now could see the whole picture - AND he even got a chance to say what he observed so now the Jarakay tribe KNOWS TOO that it wasn't the whole Buhawi that fooled them, only Tomi and Wendy. And Zsombor did so in a way that he didn't even hint that their tribe was gonna gang up with Jarakay against Karagatan - amazing damage control! I am liking him more and more now! :muscle:
Wendy talking back to the oldies was sooo fucking disrespectful (I specifically mean calling Attila or Simi - idk which - "man", like in the slang term). It takes some guts to bark back for an older (Hungarian) generation when they weren't even talking to/about you AND you're far from speaking Hungarian fluently. Yeah, the oldies were pissed and quietly jabbing a few words here and there, but 1) it was pretty deserved, 2) they didn't cross a certain line. Wendy is straight-up a disrespectful person who should've learned basic manners before joining this show. If she behaves like this in front of cameras, using the Hungarian language like this (obviously not talking about her accent or anything that's hard to change), I can't imagine how she talks in her native language, at her home. She needs some serious attitude check.
[Edit: I just remembered another thing I wanted to comment: Wendy intentionally calling Zera "Zara", even though she (Zera) corrected her (Wendy's) pronounciation in a pretty normal manner was just pathetic. Zera and Attila were so mature, saying "okay, if your name has to be pronounced Gwendy, just say that, and we'll pronounce it like that", but Wendy just kept on with her stupid vendetta against the tribe SHE FUCKED OVER, not the other way around. :person_facepalming:]
Zsombor honestly apologizing for his rushed actions and words in front of the other tribes was just... AAH! :raised_hands: We stan guys who realize their mistakes and try their best to correct it. :muscle: ...unlike Tomi and Wendy who are still lying into the others' faces about what truly happened. And Wendy even dares to make those sassy b*tch faces while Zsombor accused them of what ACTUALLY happened! Ugh... So disgusting.
Okay, yet again I wholeheartedly agree with Zsombor: this is a diplomacy meeting. Wendy doesn't speak Hungarian on a native level (duh, even some Hungarians don't :joy:). I get that she wants to prove herself, but ffs... choose any other challenge, physical or intellectual, just NOT where you have to use the Hungarian language.
I was surprised that literally no one voted for Nóri though. I would've given her the opportunity to prove herself this time instead of Wendy. I'd rather have a tribe member there who can speak Hungarian fluently than someone who cannot but kinda has good charisma. Zsombor was once again super raw and harsh, but I think he spoke the words everyone thought of: the other two tribes will laugh at them if they send Wendy, the only foreign person, to a meeting where you have to use the Hungarian language as your sword. (Or, well, since this is diplomatic, then... olive branch?)
It's funny how after the diplomacy meeting, Wendy said that she thinks the Karagatan tribe was honest and truthful, then just 10 seconds later Tomi said that they (the K. tribe) applied emotional blackmail and manipulation on them (Wendy and Tomi). :joy::joy: I'm sorry, witnessing all of the meetings, I'm not sure how would I have reacted either if I only knew one side (of the K. tribe's talking) and the other not, but Wendy's and Tomi's differing experiences might have just proved Zsombor's point - that Wendy just doesn't speak Hungarian that well to see the hidden meanings. Or she's just bad at reading people in general.
I love that they all played one of the other tribes, so now I literally do not know (I'm still mid-episode) who each tribe will pick. Well, since the youngsters did agree beforehand that they would pick Jarakay as their allies, I guess that's solved, but I have no idea about the others. I feel like the oldies are being played super hard. Especially if they're gonna get 2 votes. :') (I'm glad Zera noticed the body gestures though, like Vivi's intense stare and Gergő not even looking at them while speaking.)
I'd be really disappointed though if the youngsters would vote on the oldies. Firstly because they had such a cute bonding moment together, and even when Zera and Attila later told it to the J. tribe, they were all so adorable and smitten with "their kids".:heart_eyes: Secondly, because, well... they fucking agreed to try to become allies with the J. tribe before they went on this meeting. And Wendy saying that she won't try to change Tomi's mind and is on board with the plan - only to then try to make Tomi vote against J. anyway... I think that says a lot about how much one can trust her word.
Oh. My. God. The first time Tomi disappointed me. Why?! Why TF vote AGAINST what y'all AGREED on with your mates???
AHAHHAHAA, Zsombor immediately realizing real lies with his real eyesss (or rather, ears)!!! :joy: Not gonna lie, I genuinely didn't think he's this smart, but boyyy was I wrong! To notice these patterns and behaviours, like that if what they said was true, Wendy would've most likely spoken a lot more... Duuude, this bloke is epic.
The youngsters playing in the water, having fun, building a tower out of the totems... bro, I couldn't be prouder of my generation!:heart:
Zera does have a truth in her words, however from her phrasing and "knowing" her personality, her intentions aren't pure either. It's not "the guys don't let us, women, speak", but rather "the guys don't let me speak". Which, I know, can be frustrating too, I'm not arguing otherwise. However, from what I've seen so far, Zera didn't have any mindblowing ideas or tactics. So it's not like "the men are dumb that they don't listen to the voice of reason". I'm still agreeing with her, that yes, everyone should have a say in what they will do, what the technique will be, but since Zera herself didn't remember/realize that they had to put the n1 barrel on the platform first, I'm not sure why is she so pissed that they didn't listen to her. That was their team's only mistake, and it was huge because NONE of them knew that they should put the barrel first.
I was super surprised how Zsombor told his raw, honest opinion about Nóri and Wendy. I wholeheartedly agree with him (though I most probably would've tried to deliver it less harshly like Tomi did), and it's so sad to hear Nóri deflect these "allegations" and instead blame Zsombor and overall the boys. Yeah, they're not buff bulls like Jani or Kori, but for their fitness levels (especially the gamer boy, Zsombi) they are doing really well. Nóri and Wendy are deadweights in this team. Sorry to put it this harshly, but it is what it is.
Also, I just remembered... Didn't Emma say she trained for this show for 6 years? That's one thing that she passed out at the beginning - that can happen to anyone -, but she willingly steps out of the games. Aren't the games a core part of the Survivor experience? Then why rob yourself of that? She's far from the strongest, she's far from the smartest (or at least she hadn't said any good ideas out loud yet), she doesn't participate in the games, so... what were all those years of "training" for?
Zsombi helping the girls down from the motorboat was so cute! - It wasn't necessary, of course, but I bet the girls still appreciated it. And the fact that (even though the camera didn't show it) he probably helped Zsombor down too was amazing! :joy:
It was 100% fair from Anett that she told (to the "private" camera) that she thinks Zsombor is really kind and a good guy, but she's not interested in him. I know how awkward it is to kinda brush off flirty comments from a guy who you just don't see that way, but I also hope that she won't just stay silent about it and will tell him or at least really obviously show it to him that she's not interested in him. Certain guys (and some girls, too) interpret kindness and hanging out as the other person being interested in them, so I cross my fingers that Anett is as smart as she proved to be so far, and will tell Zsombor how it is. Kindly but firmly.
Vivi is worse than a trained dog at this point. :joy::joy: "I promised Jani to support him", like bro, chill, it's literally day 5, you can suck his d*ck after the game too... :person_facepalming:
I saw a teeny tiny light in her when she tried to involve Zümi, then even went up to her to talk and advised for her to try to be around the others, not isolate herself. But man, I still truly hope that falling head-over-heels for Jani will be the end of Vivi's stay in Survivor. She seems like the kind of person who'd still loudly defend Jani if he beat her up (not saying that he would do that).
(Sad English comment on a Hungarian series)
Bro, I would be FUMING if I were on team blue, knowing what the viewers know. Like imagine having a teammate who, basically from day 2, SABOTAGES the team because tHe LoVE oF hIs LiFe is on the other team. I didn't like his previous comment either (if he had to choose between loyalty to his gf and loyalty to his team, he'd choose his gf in a heartbeat - super romantic (:face_vomiting:), but still fucking over his teammates who are innocent), and now this... Dude, if you can't put aside your relationship in a game... no, rather if you apply for a game from your own free will, knowing that you'll most probably have to play against your gf (who also applied from her own free will), PLAY THE GAME PROPERLY.
Even in gaming, I'm so pissed at (mostly) kids who start to throw because of petty reasons, but man, this is a whole another level. Them being all lovey-dovey was annoying af already (which is cringier than puppy love cuz these people are 29 and 32 yo), so now I can't wait even more for the teammates to realize they have been hindered with by the loverboy.
Zsombor's worst-case-scenario being him crying from the pain or feeling sick cuz he "can't allow that to himself" makes me shake my head in disbelief so fucking much. I cannot believe that from team yellow, the fucking 22yo, the youngest(!!) is the most mature and logical one. Almost all of that team is a mockery of my generation. (And yes, I wouldn't be able to do all these tiring games, be on the lvl heatstroke sun, eat minimal food, and sleep badly. But since I know my limitations, I'm not even thinking about joining Survivor. I do have the mental strength, I believe - which Zsombor obviously doesn't, if crying is his worst nightmare -, and I also have the brains to know that my body couldn't handle this environment.)
The youtuber guy, however, is still a mystery to me. Sometimes he's really level-headed and says things that suggest that he's mature enough to think like that, and other times he seems like a typical gamer guy with no irl skills. (I'm sorry, I know this is harsh, but I genuinely hope he'll break the gamer stereotype.) Like forgetting the fucking fire-maker device in his pockets when going swimming. :joy::joy::joy:
So uhh... Iván really deducted all of that bs about Patrick after he took the fall and blame for the things Cruz did, even making the painful decision to let his love go after he realized he acted kinda foolishly? Patrick literally admitted his mistake, yet all Iván concludes from all this is that Patrick is selfish? What?? Not to mention Iván not seeing anything wrong with kissing Isa, his friend, ON THE MOUTH, just a few minutes after calling himself Patrick's boyfriend? Two words: good riddance. Hope Patrick can find a decent guy next time. (He'll most likely end up with Iván again, I know, but a girl can dream. :person_shrugging:)
On the other hand, the best boi award goes for Dídac for not just considering Isa's words that he may not know his childhood friend that well after all, but also going out of his way to get the truth out of Javi, record it, show it to Isa (and Sara), apologize to her for not believing her, and offer to throw his guilty (ex-)friend in front of the bus without any hesitation - because he believes that justice should be served. This is how people should be. :muscle:
So uhh... after 4 months of literal nothing, no contact whatsoever, one day they just go back to the way they were? Without talking about the past 4 months?
Those "endings" were really cringe and so useless that I kept skipping through them. They don't connect to the real story in any way, and they're not funny or interesting at all. This episode has been made unnecessarily long with these filler scenes and by stretching out the pre-meeting, depressed scenes as well. And breaking the 4th wall even with the "final" ending... eh...
Oookaaayy, breaking the 4th wall even more with the final final ending... Not a fan of that tbh. Pretty weak ending, it would've been so much better 1) without the Disney scenes, 2) without including the series' author in the story, and 3) with less stretched scenes at the beginning of this episode.
I would've liked to see a happier ending for Aey, not to cry and be depressed alone in his condo after pretending to be totally okay on his live. I would've loved to see Tiffy and Tum in more scenes - regarding their relationship and their business/agency together(?). Like I mentioned earlier, the change was too sudden for me when SibGene went from 4 months of 0 talk to kissing and loving each other from one day to another. I know their love probably never faded during those 4 months, but let's be real, their meeting should've been awkward at first, or at least include some talking and catching up.
So yeah, I'm pretty disappointed in this final episode, but overall the series was really refreshing. Gene's actor's acting really got me quite a lot, he did a great job portraying anxiety, depression and negative emotions/feelings like confusion, guilt, regret, etc.
This might sound weird but some of the scenes in this show really made me think about my own life, the problems and issues I have to deal with, so it was hard to watch the episodes sometimes. But I'm glad I did.
I'm glad they included both the delusional fans and the egotistical celebrity (Aoey with the "pity me" IG live) - there are a looot of those in late years. That's why I have 0 interest of becoming famous. Just the thought of your "fans" stalking you and acting like paparazzi, or them wanting to have a say in every aspect of your life, especially your romantic and family life... brr... Or if you're happy with your SO and another celebrity makes that situation all about themselves (like Aoey is doing here)... Ugh.
Okay, I take back what I said about Tiffy. Why tf is she blaming Tum for all this? He's not even involved :person_facepalming: I'm really not happy with this show's plot in the past few episodes. I praised it so much for being realistic and having not braindead characters, but I guess they couldn't avoid going back to ye ol' Thai BL roots of ridiculous scenes...
I get Gene's point, but why say "Let's end it" to Sib? Like they literally live right next to each other, they can meet and hang out at home anytime they want after Sib's shootings. Sure, the production crew may demand more drastic measures (like actually making them break up), but realistically speaking, they still live 2 meters away from each other, so it's not like the crew can actually make them fully break up without any contact. That's why I don't get Gene "wanting" to end things with Sib. Well, if it's for his (Gene's) own mental health, then yeah, I totally get it. I'd overthink and have a shit ton of negative feelings too if my boyfriend would be known to be in a relationship with someone else, even if I was 100% sure that said boyfriend only has feelings for me.
Oh, for a minute I thought Gene packed his things then changed his mind and went to Sib's condo... But apparently Sib was in Gene's condo, and Gene just left...?
Yess, another great little detail that shows this drama is a lot more realistic than other BLs! Tell me, how many times have they had one of the main characters admit that they were in a relationship with other people before reuniting with their true love? Most of the time they say there were a lot of people interested in them but they could only think of and wait for the one to come back... Sadly life isn't like that. There's a really big chance you lose someone forever when they step out of your life (or you step out of theirs), so it's a lot more realistic for Sib to try being in a relationship with other people because of the uncertainty of not meeting Gene ever again.
It was weird that when Sib's brother asked Gene directly "So are you two together?", Gene answered "Not yet" so calmly and normally. So either the translations were a bit off somewhere (cuz in the previous scenes Gene was really concerned to keep this bro-bro image of them in front of Nueng) or simply Gene's reaction here had no visible development whatsoever. It really felt like they talked about this with Nueng before but that wasn't the case.
Wait, then he goes back to saying there's nothing going on between him and Sib? Whaat?
Awww, Tum walking up right next to Tiffy like it's the most natural thing ever  I really-really love their chemi!
OH, and was that yet another shade by Tiffy when she said all BL actors' managers argue? :joy: I'm sensing sad AePete vibes...
Umm... Tiffy? What? Why??
Oh no, please don't make this into a ransom kinda thingy that Aoey made Sib drink a lot (or he himself decided like that) and now Aoey is gonna make a move on Sib unless Gene comes and saves him from Aoey... :person_facepalming:
OH, them not being blood-related makes things a loooot less complicated... With these Asian ways of calling random people "aunt" and such, I got confused and thought they were actually related, especially since they had a family (well, "family") picture too... Then Sib only didn't tell Gene about them knowing each other from the past - it's way better to forget a person who you were quite tight with in your childhood / teenage years than to forget your own fucking cousin. :joy:
Okay, first of all: why do you ask the child if he's still mad when you still haven't apologized for leaving him alone? Like... why do you expect him to be all okay with everything when you can't even say sorry?
Second of all: in one of the past episodes, I scanned some text messages on my phone because the subtitles were off, and for Sib's name it said "count to ten". Now in these flashbacks (even though the subs say "Nubsib"), people are calling Sib "Sib". So I wonder if he changed his nickname to Nubsib (= "count to ten") after this hide-and-seek game?
Hahaha, I definitely see myself in Gene sometimes :joy: Like when he said that Sib has to prove that he actually means what he's saying, that he shouldn't have this good boy act, just say what's on his mind - but at the same time when it's too much, he's like "OKAY, THAT'S ENOUGH" :joy::joy: I'm looking forward to Sib finally acting normally in front of Gene, and please, for the love of God, drop the "Khun" (~"Mister") when you address him, Sib!
It's a breath of fresh air watching an Asian series without cliffhangers at the end of the episodes. I think it was only the last one which had a cliffhanger, but these calm, closure-like endings are much-much better imo.
Eyy, a pansexual in an Asian BL, let's gooo! :star_struck:
Did... did I just see OhmToey when that woman was googling LGBT? Bro, my feels :sob: I miss them so much...
OH. Well... This blood relation plottwist is definitely uhh... unique for Thai BL. Idrk what more to say on this matter, like... Did Gene's memory just wipe out Sib completely? Because he never once seemed to recognize him, not even Sib's (pretty unusual) name rang a bell for him? From those 2 little flashbacks, it seemed like they have been together since childhood, and especially if they're cousins(?), they should remember each other, wtf... :joy:
Dude, imagine the mental breakdown Gene had to suffer through not only to deal with himself liking/loving another guy but himself liking/loving his guy relative... Yikes...
I love when a character says "please, listen to me" or "I had a reason for that" but then doesn't say anything more... like dude... Gene was waiting for solid 2 minutes while you were looking into each other's eyes but you didn't say a word. Then when he moved away, you suddenly remembered you wanted to explain yourself (and didn't do it again)? :person_facepalming:
Also, where did Gene go? Cuz that room wasn't the same as when he stayed at his home-home, but he left his condo, so it's not like he just moved to another room in his own flat (plus that wouldn't have made much sense anyway :joy:)...
Aaah, yisss, I love me some strong women like Tiffy! :muscle:
I really like Tiffy&Tum's dynamics. They seem like fun-loving buddies who tease each other but there's also a deeply respectful and understanding side of them towards each other. If only the main characters would be like them in hetero series, I'd switch back to those  This series isn't the best, but I see some super strong development in the mentality of the directors/producers. The characters, their thoughts and interactions are much more realistic, there're a lot more boundaries and consents respected, and I LOVE to see this change! :smiling_face_with_3_hearts:
YESS, I wanted Gene SO BAD to say "me" when Sib asked "Then do you know what I like?" That's the kinda chemi I'm all-in for! :muscle:
Aoey's family drama is a bit... uhh... bringing this show back to the cliché Thai BL plots... I'm curious how's Mhok related to the family tho, and what his relationship is like with Aoey in general. Because you don't just kiss a person you don't like just because your day was shit and you're heartbroken and angry...
Ooh, Aoey's actor's tearing-up at the very end was really good! I think that might've been genuine crying because it must be really hard to fake those kinda trembles on your chin. And judging by his "crying" scene at the family reunion (which was pretty bad), I think this one was a legit cry. :joy:
Aw, come on man, you can't leave us hanging like that...!
Aaand yet another shade thrown at the ridiculous sponsor scenes :joy: And also with faking kissing scenes, lol.
So, I'm a bit confused... Does Aoey like Sib or Gene? Because he kinda flirted with Sib when they were on that ceremony in the last episode, and I thought seeing the IG post about shipping Sib&Gene was about his jealousy towards Gene... but I remembered that he researched Gene's past novel and gushed about it in the past episodes and now too, so... Is he trying to make Sib jealous or is he out to get Gene?
What was that awkward scene with Tum being in the women's changing room? Maybe it's different in Thailand, but I don't think I've ever seen a men-only/women-only changing room in a shop. Especially if the little "rooms" are closed off with curtains/doors, why not make it unisex?
MY GOD, THAT SCENE-IN-THE-SCENE GAVE OFF THE BIGGEST SOTUS VIBES! :joy::joy: Omg, how much I loved that series...
As a side note: Sib's actor is so much better playing the hard-to-get, cold, tsundere characters (Kin) than what he plays now (Sib)... They didn't do him justice here. :sob: Not saying that Gene's actor is doing a bad job, he's actually quite decent. What I'm saying is that they basically put together two actors who're both good at playing cold characters but one of them has to play a kinda puppyish one, and the difference between Kao's Sib acting and Kin acting really shows.
Woah, wait, we're only at the end of episode 3, and they already spent almost a month living together? Welp, we didn't get many moments out of that...
Oof, that ending... I mean, I thought I knew all about avoidance anxious types, but I never would've guessed Gene would react like this just for being called cute (yes, he also had those flashbacks, but that's even more of a reason for him to want Sib to stay, no?).
